I love Mr. Sushi! We always have a great time when we go! This particular time was amazing. The waiter was super funny (kept telling us jokes) .. the food was delicious & the drinks were cute & a little strong. We all ordered on one paper, so they brought us out a HUGE platter with flowers everywhere. I loved it. Sooo cute. We will continue to go back as the service is ALWAYS good.

Chicken and Shrimp Teriyaki

Went here for my 2 year anniversary as this was supposed to be our original first date. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We got some sushi and had teriyaki from the stake house side. The sushi was very good and would come back again for that. However the chicken fried shrimp I got was awful. The rice tasted like soy sauce and the shrimp and chicken were so hard. Would not recommend but if you like sushi, I would highly recommend it!

We ate on the sushi side and ordered alaskan rolls to share. I had some sake and the teriyaki salmon. I have no complaints for the sushi and sake, but my salmon outright tasted like a seafood flavored nissin cup noodle. It was the most fishy tasting salmon I've had. The fried rice was missing flavor and mostly just tasted of soy sauce. The soup and salad were standard for hibachi, I enjoyed the sweetness of the salad dressing. Service was nice and welcoming. The atmosphere was also clean and up to date. I probably wouldn't go back for any hibachi because there are better and higher quality options at similar prices. But I would for the sushi.

Spicy salmon

Outstanding! Very good and flavorful. One of the tastiest spicy salmon rolls I've had. Will be back!

Food was very good and you get quite a bit with your dinner entree. Service was good as well. Fun place for large group.

TLDR: 2 stars bc the food was ok, but still won't go back…read more I have ordered takeout and off the menu. I used to do the buffet, but got sick the last 2 times I tried it, so no more. This is one of the only places I can get honey sesame chicken though, so I continued to go here to order that from the menu. I hadn't been for quite a while due to a medical issue, and it turns out, I should have stayed away. From the moment I parked, it was a hot mess express. There were not enough handicapped spots for the # of businesses in the strip mall for starters, but that isn't really the restaurant's fault. On the plus side, they have redone the seating since I was last here and it was decently comfortable, but that's where the positive comments will end. The smell that hit me when I walked inside was horrendous, not a great start. I asked for a menu and the young women appeared VERY put out that I wanted to order from the menu; she kept saying "buffet" over and over, and I kept saying, "no, I need the menu please." I wanted to see if there was a combo for the honey sesame chicken. She finally brought over the menu and there was in fact a combo for the HSC, but all of the prices had been marked out with a sharpie. I pointed to the combo I wanted and asked how much and she gave me an odd look and raised her shoulders like she didn't understand me. I figure I was getting it anyway so I went ahead and ordered a coke and the HSC with fried rice; they have also always switched out the crab rangoon for an extra scoop of rice so I asked for that. The young lady took my order and left. A few minutes later, a young man brought me my drink and said. "no fried rice." I asked if he meant I could not sub it and he said "no fried rice, only white in combo." Me: "So let me get this straight, if I order the combo, I can't get fried rice?" Him: "no fried rice, only white rice. No 2 scoop." Me: "So I can't get rice instead of crab rangoon either?" Him: "no no no. No change, no fried rice." At this point I was super annoyed and just said fine, whatever. Just bring me the HSC for as cheap as you can. I'm hungry. The waitress came back with a gigantic plate, overflowing with HSC, and a teeny tiny little bowl of steamed rice, Not even enough for me to get full while sitting there in the restaurant, let alone enough to take home with the 2+ portions of HSC that were left over when I ran out of rice. You can't tell me it is less expensive to give a ridiculously large portion of chicken and minimal rice! I ate until I ran out of rice, never got a refill on my coke (they all ignored our table after dropping off the food), and left (still hungry) with 3/4 of the chicken in a take-out box, knowing I wouldn't eat it unless I bought rice to make. All of this, for the bargain price of almost $30, just for ONE PERSON! Never again.

I am a very…read moreconservative and well mannered person so this is where I need to let someone know I'm not to have my kindness taken for weakness. With that being said my first issue is that I walked in with my wife and I got seated and my straws were practically tossed to us on the table with an attitude. The women (server) gave me the most inattentive and disrespectful up and down "checking me" type of look. My wife noticed this and decided to play it nice and gave the women a compliment on her jade bangle because she is well rounded. The women's attitude instantly changed and she became very happy and willing. I did eat everything I got. So when it came to the end things got weird. The power went out and at that point I was done. I wanted to leave so we came around to trying to pay. The environment was not welcoming at this point. After I paid the server basically needed me to sign the receipt so I did and the lady wanted me to write the total .... I couldn't have smiled any harder out of disbelief because no I was not giving a tip. I've had better servers on a bad day compared to whoever this women was. My wife was also not satisfied with the food alone and whatever it was cooked in because it gave it a weird taste. I APPRECIATE the young woman up front that was younger and attentive to the situation... she even said that that lady is always like that to people.

I treated my friend to lunch at Mint Sushi this week, and we had a MARVELOUS time!…read moreFrom the outside, Mint Sushi is a modest storefront business in a strip center. But step inside the door, and you've entered an Asian teahouse that's welcoming and cheery. The walls are painted a bright mint green, with paintings of herbs and an entire wall of customers' photos celebrating their birthdays. The place is open and airy and the tables are spaced well so that one is dining in a communal place but can still carry on a conversation in some privacy. Shelly and Lin-Lin were our servers, and they were AMAZING! Shelly greeted us and was a most hospitable hostess; when we asked for a table nearer the windows, she was happy to oblige. Both Shelly and Lin-Lin guided us through the menu, answering our questions and giving us thoughtful recommendations for food and drink choices. Our meals were EXQUISITE! My friend had the Chrisnana roll and I had the lunch special of two rolls with onion soup. Both were plated beautifully; we took photos because they were utterly charming! The Chrisnana roll was delicious; the banana was surprising but melded with the savory sushi flavors. My California roll was a perfect blend of crab, avocado and cucumber wrapped in perfectly-cooked rice. And my Sweet Potato roll was mouth-wateringly delectable! There was a crisp topping on the roll which perfectly complemented the sweet smoothness of the potato filling. Both meals were reasonably priced and served quickly. When my friend and I lingered to talk, both Shelly and Lin-Lin checked on us to ensure we had everything we needed, but we never felt rushed to leave. They were so friendly and genuinely happy to have us join them at the restaurant--it was such a warm and welcoming experience! We'll definitely be back, and we'll bring more friends! Thank you so much for a delightful time!

New to me: Tuna Tataki, Philadelphia (Raw), and Ceviche. All of these were absolutely delicious! For the ceviche, we opted to have the spicier togarashi on the side--I added a sprinkling to a bite--yum, but am glad it was on the side! Kyla was our server and she was great; she explained the menu and was knowledgeable about the foods on the menu. We were celebrating a birthday--I had made reservations via Open Table--it was nice they added a card from the staff for the birthday Mom! We went Monday during lunch and it was nice because it wasn't too crowded and we could carry on a conversation easily. Now I have new favorites--too bad the Tuna Tataki didn't have an even number... ;)

They had all-day happy hour going on, which made the pricing feel just right for the quality we received. The drink menu has some really fun highlights. One friend tried a unique peach margarita made with sake, but the star for me was the "Night Swim" sake from Kyoto. It was served in a container that looked exactly like fish food--hilarious presentation, but the flavor itself was no joke. It was incredibly smooth and tasty. As for the food: Mango Crab Rangoon: A really cool, creative take on the classic. It had a nice balance of spicy sweetness and was perfectly crunchy. Cherry Bomb Maki: This was a standout--fried tuna and salmon with a kick from jalapeño and serrano peppers, finished with a subtle hint of cherry sauce. Crunchy Blue Roll: Also extremely flavorful and fresh. The only reason I'm knocking off one star is because they forgot the ginger and wasabi when my first roll arrived. However, the food and atmosphere were great enough that I will definitely be back!
