This is one of my favorite places I'm so addicted to the magic beef it's just makes me feel better any time I'm feeling a little under the weather. It's been so cold outside it's soothing to the soul! The beef is so tender and this time I got string noodles. The pickled radish is one I have to order extra of! The crab Rangoon is not my favorite here the wonton is thick I prefer the thin kind you get at Thai places. The service is lacking a little. We order some food to go when it's done please put in a bag with napkins and utensils. I had to ask twice it was windy and cold it needs to be in a bag. I will go back the food is so good. read more

First thing I noticed was the decor ii was sleek but beautiful. Loved the light fixtures. Next it was super clean which is a must in my book .They were all very nice and pleasant. Our waiter was so sweet if he didn't know the answer to our questions he found out the answer for us. My friend had the Calamari which she loved. It was breaded in bread crumbs which I didn't like because it just tasted like bread. She also had the Crab Rangoon which she said was so sweet and the best she ever had. I had the Steamed Dumplings, they were delicious and so soft they practically melted in your mouth. I also had the Squid Tentacles, they are marinated in barbecue sauce then grilled. I asked to leave off the barbecue sauce and the chili powder. They were so chewy I couldn't even cut them with a knife. Tasty but too tough for me so I gave up on them. I was disappointed there was nothing gluten free. I was hoping they would have rice noodles but no such luck. Yes, I will be going back to try some more items. My wife and I went to the Magic Noodle for dinner tonight in February 2025. They just opened very recently and are still getting things together. But it's a pretty decent approximation of the original Overland Park location. The interior is gorgeous. They did a great job! There's a temporary banner above the door that let you know you're in the right place. We started off with two appetizers, including the crab Rangoon and the calamari. The crab Rangoon was amazing! It came out quickly and was piping hot. We enjoyed it very much. The calamari was a sight to see as the pieces were very big. Huge! I had never seen calamari quite like this. However, it was very tough and chewy. We mentioned this to the server and he took it away. The manager came over and apologized. He would remove it from the bill. We felt that was the right thing to do. My wife and I shared the house special noodle dish with beef, chicken, and shrimp. It was excellent! It wasn't all hot all the way through. Some of it was piping hot and some of it was lukewarm. Very strange. We are chalking that up to a new place that is still finding their way. With four restaurants right in a row in this brand new strip mall, they are going to have to get their stuff together quickly, but we have seen the owner work their magic at the original location and we have faith that the Lee's Summit version will be just as good soon. Japanese noodle house experience. They make fresh noodles in house. Nice a Japanese deco inside. Clean atmosphere. Waiter took our order at the table. Robot will bring out your appetizers. Everything was delicious! Our first time having Magic Noodle so we tried a bit of everything. My husband loved the BBQ tentacles, and soup dumplings. My favorite was the pot belly fried rice and Peking duck. Some of the best crab Rangoon and the dumpling sauce is I really didn't like the size of the calamari rings too thick for me. And I LOVE tea eggs so I was excited to order them but I wish they actually came in some of the juice. Overall we'll definitely be ordering again. read more

My daughter picked this place for the robot and we had no idea what it was other than that and it served noodles. I was pleasantly surprised. Kids...they liked exactly that...the robot and noodles. I ordered the Crab Rangoon and the Stir Fry and thought it was delicious. I am incredibly picky on Crab Rangoon and this ranks #2 that I've ever had (lots of competition). The stir fry was good that day, but it was even better the next day. The kids weren't excited about the options they had and didn't like the broccoli or the meat sticks (beef with what tasted like taco seasoning on a skewer). But, the noodles and robot made them happy. Service was great and even let them pet the robot on the ear so it would talk to them. Fun experience! read more

We were excited to see this location go in and it looks like a beautiful restaurant and fun experience. However, I don't think I have found my "thing" to eat there yet. The noodles that I got, in the dish that I ordered, were tasteless and my dish was a little bland. However, my friend got a fried rice dish and hers was wonderful. We both enjoyed the crab rangoon. Very clean! Service is wonderful. Food is wonderful! Lots of dishes with noodles(obviously) you can pick out what type of noodles you want and what you want to go in them. Let's get the good part to the top. Yes we liked it and yes we will be back. We actually started out going to a different restaurant nearby, however it was closed on Sunday. We walked it and could see it was full and busy. We put our name in and was told it would be 20 minutes. We agreed and waited about 10 minutes when we were called to the desk. We were seated and just had water, an appetizer, and 2 entrees. The bill worked out to be under $50. It was a cute location, the people working were very nice even though they never stopped moving. It was packed. A robot brought our appetizer to the table. Side quest....you can choose the size of the noodle if you order a noodle dish. Appetizers can be enjoyed while you watch noodle makers make your choice of several different sizes of noodles for your entree. You can also elect to have a rice dish. Chinese food is something that I LOVE and when I found out they hand made their noodles they had me sold! This magic noodles location is their newest one in Lees Summit and they serve a few more specialty items at this location versus their South Overland Park location. I love the idea of hand pulled noodles but I didn't really see the difference in taste but I loved the variation of noodles I could Choose from. I ordered both their magic chicken soup and their magic beef pepper soup which is only available at this location and wow! What a difference. The chicken had a very vegetable-ly flavor to it but the beef was out of this world. Had endless flavor and a nice bite. Not for someone who doesn't like spicy food. Their combination rice was average but then when I added the magic sauce to it, the flavor was elevated! Their skewers are always a little disappointing because they come over cooked and small portions. The beef I didn't like that they sprinkled the seasoning at the end of cooking so it was just there. I also wouldn't recommend ordering the calamari it was very chewy. Their dumplings were great both the soup dumplings and the gyoza dumplings. Overall I will be back. I like their set up and noodle situation. I think this place is good for noodles and noodles only. The other sides are ok. But nothing to rant and rave over. read more

They still didn't have their liquor license when we went. While it was fun to watch the noodle being handade, they lacked flavor even when added to the broth and veggies. Their appetizers were good. We had the octopus, soup dumplings, and scallion pancakes. I appreciated how clean the restaurant was. Service was standard. A server took our order and then just stood around the entire time. Ordered take out on Saturday night with high expectations. I've seen so many instagram posts about this restaurant, I figured it was either going to be really great or really bad. Unfortunately for me, it was latter. I showed up a little after my selected pick up time because I figured they were busy. Upon arrival, I was told they didn't get my order and to check that I ordered to the right location. I called their Overland Park location but they didn't have my order either. I went back into the restaurant to investigate further and magically my order was ready for pickup... okay. At least I had food. At this point, I noticed the large SOFT OPENING sign on their door and took that mishap for what it was. Now the food. Upon arriving at home, I found one of my bowls was missing entirely that I was charged for. First lesson of takeout- always check before you leave. Okay, maybe the taste of the food will be so amazing that the hassle will have been all worth it. Wrong. The Dan Dan noodle bowl was dry and lacking flavor. So oily it gave me heartburn looking at it. The noodles had no flavor and seemed old? The chicken rice bowl didn't come with any sauce, so it was literally just sad grilled chicken over white rice with some stringy steamed bok choy. My parents split the last remaining bowl- the triple D stir fry bowl and they couldn't even eat it because it was lacking flavor and noodles were so bad. Lastly, the crab Rangoon had zero filling. I'm sure they would've been the best thing we got, if they were properly stuffed and fried. We laughed by the time this was discovered. Normally I give a restaurant a benefit of the doubt and will try again, but I will not be going back to Magic Noodle. If they're hitting the local instagram junket, they should be prepared to back the press. Total miss in my book. I did try calling them to report the errors mentioned above and get my money back for the missing bowl but they didn't pickup and never returned my message. read more

My husband and I went to Magic Noodle over the weekend. I loved the decor inside since it paid homage to the Chinese culture. The menu was in a book format with pictures of each menu item. I enjoyed being able to watch the handmade noodles and food being made. We ordered crab Rangoon and egg rolls for the appetizer and they were both delicious and crunchy. We ordered the Signature Stir-Fried Noodles with chicken, beef, shrimp, onion, cabbage, broccoli, and carrots with classic noodle size. We enjoyed the noodles but want to try it again with thinner noodles because they were thicker than we thought they would be. Nonetheless, the veggies and meat were tender. We added Soy sauce and some of the other sauces on the table to our noodles to try. The robot bringing the food out was fun because it was different and it even talks to you. We will be returning and want to try some of the noodle soups. read more

this is the perfect lunch spot! my fiancé and I absolutely loved their crab rangoon (honestly best i've ever had) We also shared their fried rice and chicken stir fry with classic hand pulled noodles!
