Plenty of seating all around, the food came out quickly with average portions. The food itself was good, I'm glad I went out and tried it! The table cloth had a stain present, could not enjoy the dishes to their full extent because of this. The restaurant itself was particularly warm as well Vegan friendly.

Pad Thai, Tiger Cry Beef, Pad Key Maw, Thai Fried Rice

Would have probably gone with 4.5 if Yelp let us do half stars. Was really good. We ordered tiger cry beef, the pad Thai, and pad key maw. We also ordered a side of the fried rice. Portions were really big and food was really good. Pad Thai was hot and the pad key maw was mild. Hot was hot. But the mild wasn't spicy at all. Sauce with the tiger cry beef was a little spicy, but really tasty. Definitely have lots of left overs. Word to the wise, if you like it saucy, order with extra sauce. Will definitely go back. Our usual place is the Thai Place on 87th in OVP, but we live in Lee's Summit so Mali Thai is a lot closer.

I love Thai food. This place is a great addition to my list. We have been here 3 times in 1 month. The food is great and flavorful. The staff is very friendly. We plan to continue to come. If you are looking for good thai food, check them out!

Working my way through their menu, everything is honestly amazing. The Thai noodle soup and Tom kha soup are my absolute favorites but my entire family has their own favorites and you really can't go wrong.

One of the few restaurants with real silverware, glassware and even tablecloths! Water goblets on the table and the waitress filled them all throughout. Food arrived quickly. My husband's entree (medium spice) seemed over cooked with gummy noodles. My red curry with chicken (hot spicy level) was good. Not the best nor tastiest. Portion sizes were good. For lunch, each was about $13. But, we ate allllll of it. Hubby would give Yelp rating of 4. I can't be that generous. If his noodles didn't look nor taste blah and hadn't been cooked to oblivion, would have been a 4 for me too.

I love it here, love the place, love the people, and love the delicious food. Pad Thai is great but my favorite is the curry!

Found this place by scrolling through Yelp Reviews! We were not disappointed! The chicken satay & Crab Rangoon was tasty! The Pad Thai was authentic and tastes pretty close to what we get in Thailand. It's in a strip mall, but when you enter the restaurant you forget that it is in the strip mall! Parking is easy. The employees were friendly and offered suggestions.

Service and ambiance were good- fairly standard, but quick and friendly. We all had the pineapple fried rice with various meats- the shrimp was good but nothing exciting, and if you want any flavor at all go for the medium spice level. But everything within the dish tasted boiled- even the pineapple had no flavor. It was the strangest thing. The seafood version had some chewy calamari in it- not a dish that I would recommend at all. The saving grace was the pad key mao- other restaurants call it drunken noodles. Super flavorful with a good balance of veggies. That dish was what I would come back for, again and again. So what you order here matters, as it can be hit or Miss.

I always have an enjoyable experience at Mali Thai Bistro. I decided to go with the panang curry, medium spice. It was absolutely delicious and packed full of flavor. Their mango boba tea was good as well, reminded me of a mango Lassi. Their beef pad thai as always in impeccable!

But step inside the door, and you've entered an Asian teahouse that's welcoming and cheery. The walls are painted a bright mint green, with paintings of herbs and an entire wall of customers' photos celebrating their birthdays. The place is open and airy and the tables are spaced well so that one is dining in a communal place but can still carry on a conversation in some privacy. Shelly and Lin-Lin were our servers, and they were AMAZING! Shelly greeted us and was a most hospitable hostess; when we asked for a table nearer the windows, she was happy to oblige. Both Shelly and Lin-Lin guided us through the menu, answering our questions and giving us thoughtful recommendations for food and drink choices. Our meals were EXQUISITE! My friend had the Chrisnana roll and I had the lunch special of two rolls with onion soup. Both were plated beautifully; we took photos because they were utterly charming! The Chrisnana roll was delicious; the banana was surprising but melded with the savory sushi flavors. My California roll was a perfect blend of crab, avocado and cucumber wrapped in perfectly-cooked rice. And my Sweet Potato roll was mouth-wateringly delectable! There was a crisp topping on the roll which perfectly complemented the sweet smoothness of the potato filling. Both meals were reasonably priced and served quickly. When my friend and I lingered to talk, both Shelly and Lin-Lin checked on us to ensure we had everything we needed, but we never felt rushed to leave. They were so friendly and genuinely happy to have us join them at the restaurant--it was such a warm and welcoming experience! We'll definitely be back, and we'll bring more friends! Thank you so much for a delightful time!

Invited to join a couple from our HOA, we were enthused to further our love for Thai cuisine. This place exceeded our expectations. We had a very kind server. Her English skills were minimal, but we easily made do with universal signs for numbers and pointing to the two billing parties seated at our table of four. I ordered the Sesame Chicken. BEAUTIFULLY served - - pleasing to the eye and the palate. No photos - sorry - but I leave that talent to others. It was a VERY generous serving. I am not exaggerating when I say I left VERY SATISFIED with eating a fourth or a third of the dish. Looking forward to enjoying my leftovers today and/or tomorrow. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Rice. Our server added a plate of their hottest sauce - four thimble sized containers. My husband - an aficionado of all things "flavorful" enjoyed THREE containers on his food. HA! HA! As a footnote - - do yourself a favor. Order the Rangoon. NEVER have I EVER seen such a lovely serving! Perfectly fried with a delightful sauce. Bravo to the cooks and the servers! We will DEFINITELY return!

I have noticed that they never give you any utensils or napkins or anything like that. In fact, the day prior to my most recent visit, a friend had brought that up regarding their most recent visit. I wasn't going home so I checked my bag before leaving and grabbed my own utensils and napkins from the bar. I had to go around an individual who was eating there so it was a little awkward. I'm sure they keep more of their attention on the patrons dining in and they're always busy, but it would improve the experience if they included those items automatically. I ordered a couple of appetizers but I ended up not really being impressed by either. I tried the crab Rangoon and it was fine. They're on the smaller side and the filling is a little lacking. I also tried the Baramee Thai Rolls: crabmeat, cream cheese, cucumber, green leaf lettuce, bean sprouts, carrots, in a rice paper wrap. I have two complaints-the first being the roll itself. Two of the three rolls weren't even wrapped, just kinda folded over so everything fell out. The second is that a majority of the roll was lettuce-iceberg, not green leaf. Like over 75% was just lettuce. Definitely disappointing and I wouldn't get again. I ordered the chicken pad se ew for an entree. The size is decent, it could definitely make two meals. The chicken was good, I liked the mushrooms and broccoli, and the noodles were well cooked. The sauce was a little bit greasy but it was good. I went with a medium heat and it was a little too weak for me. Next time I'll go hot. My boyfriend liked his chicken pad Thai. He got the hot level and I liked the spice on it. I'll definitely stop in the next time I want a noodle fix.
