Thai Spice is awesome. My favorites are the spring rolls and spicy vegetable fried rice. They have excellent service too! They get very busy at lunchtime so be prepared for tight parking and slower service during those times. read more

Really fresh and delicious food. I had the Lava Roll which was great. The Tom Kha soup was very tasty. Very clean and neat. I'll be back.

Once again I can't say enough good things about this place. I come here for lunch everyday when I am in town. My go to is the drunken noodle, which is fantastic! The serving size is huge, not to mention you get a small salad appetizer accompanied with a spring roll. You can have all of this for less than $8, excluding the tip. The staff is always very nice, and it never takes long for your order to be made. I highly recommend this place!!! read more

Great lunch spot but you better get there early! The food is as good as the sweet lady that serves it! I have tried a few things on the menu and everything is fantastic! read more

The food is how the Thai say "arawy mak" (very delicious)! One of my favorite restaurants in town, I almost always order curry or some variation. I highly recommend the panang curry. The staff is very sweet and happy to give good service, I've never been disappointed. read more

Thai Spice - Green curry with chicken (spicy of course). - Thai Near Me - Anderson, South Carolina

See all

I have grown up going to Thai Spice with my family, and I have always loved observing Anderson and enjoying a meal from the small, windowed restaurant. The consistently friendly atmosphere and yummy food make it a wonderful spot of comfort and quality. The servers know my regular order of Pad See Eew with chicken and a Thai iced tea. It is open now for take-out, which always comes quickly, delicious, and without any mix-ups in the order. read more

Been here for years! Their food is always fresh, and they have friendly service. The only complaint I have is that the place is pretty small, having large groups here would be hard.. but they will work with you. I love their fried rice, Thai tea and panang curry. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone! read more

The dining space is quite tight but thankfully was not full when I visited. Depending on the time of day I might consider carry out because the food is not worth missing. I had the Massa-man Curry at a 4 level and it was perfect!. read more

My family and I were traveling through on our way from DC. I had been craving some Thai food and no where in DC could get it right. I didn't think I would find the good Thai in Anderson, SC of all places. I got the red curry and my husband got the panang curry. I can always tell a good curry if it's thick and creamy and I can taste the different aromas as you eat. If it wasn't considered rude, I would have licked the plate! Service was a bit slow which is the norm I have found in Thai places. I didn't care once I got the food. It was THAT good! read more

Maybe we will try again some day. We were excited about trying since we just moved to the area. We waited for longer than 15min. Not over exaggerating. We checked in when we sat down. It was busy, but that's not our problem. At least offer water. Everyone was eating and being waited on but.....us. I don't complain a lot. Read my reviews.. SMH read more

I visited my boyfriend for a week since he works in Anderson, and I was off from school for a bit. All his co-workers loved Thai Spice. LOVED. Like, come here every week for lunch kind of love. I tried this place with an open mind, and while it wasn't bad, I don't understand the hype. It looks super empty inside. Previously seated tables that had left still had their plates on the table. There seemed to be only one worker there at the time? While we ate, he didn't bother to clean the tables that were dirty and instead only sat at the register. I had gotten the massaman curry. I love Thai curries cause it's coconut milk based and while it still has all the flavor that a curry should, it also has the creaminess that I just love in food. The massaman curry came in a relatively large bowl. I was able to take a little more than half of the curry home to save for another meal. The server initially gave me a little mound of rice for my curry.. the little ball of rice was no where near enough to even use a quarter of my curry. So I had to ask for about 2 more servings. The curry itself was good, but it wasn't my favorite. The menu stated that there was avocado in the curry which adds to the creaminess, but there was a lack of said avocados. It had already taken too long to ask the waiter for my missing utensils, water, and more rice, so I didn't bother to try and grab his attention again. Going home though, I cut u a whole avocado and eating it with the curry and my own rice, it made it seem just a little more authentic. My boyfriend and his co-worker had gotten noodle dishes. They were nice enough to let me try a bite. The pad-thai had a very... interesting smell to it. Something I wouldn't get here if I were to return. The other one, I wasn't sure what it was called, but it wasn't bad either. Overall, Thai Spice didn't meet my expectations. The overall words to describe this place is "not bad," but coming from Atlanta, where there are (many) more Asian options, I can see why this place is so popular. It's one of the places that more closely resembles Asian food. read more

Super awesome Thai food with great service. Just enough heat..Would recommend

I have been to many Thai restaurants and no other Thai restaurant compares to Thai Spice in Anderson. The man and woman who run the restaurant are the nicest people ever and have great memories. When I go inside, they know exactly what I want to drink and eat, and how spicy I like the dish. If I decide to change my mind, she will remember both dishes and ask which I prefer the next time. My two go-to-dishes are the Spicy Basil Noodle, Chicken, Medium/Hot and the Massaman Curry with chicken. For the full experience, try the Thai iced tea and you'll be in for a sweet treat. Lunch includes a cucumber appetizer and a perfect portion of your main dish. Be patient when you go as they get very busy at lunch but it is worth every minute of the wait. Beat the crowd by going for dinner during the week. Every Thai restaurant you visit afterwards will be compared to this one! Simply the best! read more

The ambiance leaves something to be desired, but the food here is really good.

This place is a good Thai restaurant. I ordered massaman curry, extra hot and it had a different flavor in a good way than what I'm used to. I would go back. My mom ordered a cashew chicken dish and it was ok. Food doesn't really seem fresh? Maybe it's just me but it seemed like it came off the Cisco truck read more

Best Thai food around, for sure. I ordered the Spicy Basil Noodle with tofu for lunch, and it was amazing! The level of spicy heat was perfect, and an added bonus was the cucumber salad and spring roll side dishes. I also enjoyed the hot Jasmine tea. All very authentic Thai flavors, and I will definitely return again. read more

This is some of the best Thai food around. I live in Greenville and come to eat here.

I was surprised when i saw a Thai restaurant opening in narrow minded Anderson. But I was pleasantly surprised when i went there with co-workers and it was great food! Everything is fresh and tastes great, i have been to a lot of Thai restaurants and this one by far is very close to the top of my list. I took my dad there last year who doesn't really care for Thai food and he said "this is the best Thai food i have ever had" and for him to get excited is saying something. I have tried everything on teh lunch menu and it's all good. For dinner I get teh soft shell crabs in curry. They give you three soft shell crabs. The place is small so if you have to wait for a table it's sort of awkward but a very small price to pay. read more

Love everything about this place! My family frequents here. Typically we order dinner to-go, just because we have little ones so not always the best for cook time needed. The wait staff is AMAZING, as well as the food. We come so much that we're on first name basis now. It does have a small lot, but I've always had a spot to park. If you do dine-in it's still great, just be prepared to wait a bit for food because everything is fresh. If you were to want to have a large party I'd definitely call ahead, because the restaurant is small in size. Their lunch menu is phenomenal pricing and same quality taste, and serves enough to have leftovers. We typically get baby egg rolls, spicy fried rice w/ chicken, and lately I've been on a cashew nut chicken kick. Also, I've done the Spicy Veggie dish numerous times and LOVE IT! You can request what spice level you ant on every dish, so even my 4yo loves the Spicy Fried Rice with no spice and loves it. We've also tried several of the curry dishes and they are delicious too. Never had or seen a bad meal here. read more

This is one of the best Thai restaurants in the upstate in my opinion. I have ate at every single one in Greenville and Spartanburg and still not one can hold a flame the food here. Of course all the curry is amazing, but my favorite dish is the drunken noodle. Whenever I have visitors coming to see me, I always bring them here for some good food. read more

I pass this place every day coming home from work, and I'm so glad I finally tried it! I typically order take-out, and it's always super quick. The portions are huge, so I always have enough for a big lunch the next day. I've only tried vegetarian options so far, but they've been phenomenal! read more

Absolutely fantastic Thai! I started coming here almost a decade ago and the food is still the same. The Panang curry with tofu is my favorite. Highly recommend the Tom Kha soup as well. The staff is friendly and the food is always spot on. Didn't take pictures because we were enjoying it so much! read more

Amazing good my family and I are traveling from DC and this is the best Thai I have had in my life.

More similar to Thai takeout than actual Thai, this place is a local chain. The menu is totally meant for Americans, meaning that some of the tastiest dishes (larb, som tum) are conspicuously missing! The cucumber salad is too sweet and one dimensional. You don't make Thai salad by dousing veggies in sweet-chili sauce! My entree was generally good and the prices are reasonable. Still, probably not my future "go-to" Thai place... read more

Maybe they were having an off day. Maybe they had a new person in the kitchen. My wife and I went there to try them out, and we were sorely disappointed. It started out nicely where a courteous server took our drink orders. Then took our food orders. The food took about 30 minutes to get to the table, but mine came out first. We had to wait another 10 minutes for them to bring my wife her meal. Then we began eating. Our food tasted like vinegar and smelled awful. We both couldn't finish our meal. The only redeeming quality was the nice server that we had. She was very courteous and it looked like she was in charge of 6 tables or so. I won't be back, but based on the other reviews I think they just had an off day. read more

This is my favorite place for lunch, the have the best prices and the staff knows my name. It's small and is usually busy but has the most bang for your buck if you want to Thai in the area. read more

As vegetarians, this restaurant is a favorite for me and my husband. There are so many options for us, and the food is always good. The Pad Se Eew and Cashew Nut with tofu are favorites. The waitress is so nice, and is always smiling. We love this place. read more

Absolutely the best Thai food I have had in years. Service is great and the cooks will accommodate your needs we will definitely be back

Yup. The Tom yum soup, though not the clasic Tom yum you'd expect, was spectacular none the less. Mussels, squid and shrimp. Duck with crispy basil leaves was as good as any I've had, with a sauce unique to this place. Deffinitely eating here next time I'm in town. read more

Good: Excellent food. No doubt about it. Indifferent: price.........some things too high, otherwise okay. Con: Atmosphere......cold, like you're in a warehouse feeling. Service.......staff is pleasant but not hustlers. That, coupled with cold feeling, leaves you questioning your choice of places to eat. Take-out: HORRIBLE. They don't use proper containers and everything will spill on your way home. Also, the amount of take-out is far less than what you get at eat-in. Finally, you must always ask for things, like sugar, straw, napkins, etc. And sometimes do not have routinely supplied condiments. read more

This is one of my top 5 favorites in Anderson. The dishes here are well prepared and taste excellent. Portion sizes are large which offers great value for money and the staff is always very nice. A must eat for anyone! read more

I was so pleasantly surprised by how good the food is here. Some of the best I've had in SC. Will definitely come back!

Now this is great Thai Food! I'm not sure how this tiny little restaurant in Anderson can consistently pump out such great food! The lunch comes with a cucumber salad and spring roll, paired together, these are the perfect appetizers. My favorite is the Pad Kee Mow (Spicy Basil Noodle), which is close to the best I've had...anywhere. The only two negatives are the lack of a children's menu, the lack of seating, and the slow undertrained service. Even with those negatives, their food is so good, I can't give less than 5 stars! read more

It was fine. Nothing too special, but still tasted good enough that I'll finish it. Kind of disappointed they didn't have a volcano chicken or mekong chicken. They also didn't have cabbage...never been to a thai place that didn't have cabbage. Reminded me more of Chinese food. read more

Very good Thai food. I had the spicy fried rice and was very pleased. Someone else got me take out so I can't really comment on the service. read more

Great food and nice quiet atmosphere, perfect for a date night. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.
