Ordered takeout on Friday night, and was delighted by the food. Everything was really good. We ordered yellow curry, panang curry, tom yum soup, pad kee mow, and an order of sticky rice. My favorite was the panang curry, it was a mildly spicy, creamy and flavorful, and there was a ton of chicken. The yellow curry was also good, but I think I will try something else next time. Both the curries were generously portioned, and we had enough for lunch for the next two days. The tom yum was good, but sweeter than I am used too. I also prefer it more sour, so I added extra lime juice and thought it was perfect. The shrimp was well cooked, and I liked the amount of mushrooms. I asked for the pad kee mow to be spicy, and it actually was spicy! I liked the combo of vegetables, which includes green beans, peppers, onions, and generous amounts of basil. The only thing I was confused by, was that we didn't get regular rice. I'm wondering if this is because we ordered 1 order of sticky rice, but the single order of sticky rice was definitely not enough to accompany the curry. We ordered take-out from Thai Season yesterday. All four dishes were exceptional. We thought the curry was understated, not a full blast of the senses, and that worked for us. The noodle dishes were spiced well and cooked perfectly. Everything tasted great. Pricing was mid-range and portions were a little above average volume. A hidden gem in the back side of a strip mall, this spot is def a takeout hero in the Fresno / Clovis area. Featuring a variety of American-friendly and authentic Thai dishes, it's easy to see why this spot has so much allure. After a disappointing experience a few months ago, my partner and I have been avoiding getting Thai until tonight. We got the yellow curry and the Pad Ki Mao and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant it very hidden so make sure to look for that open sign. Inside, the fragrance of spice, seafood, and freshly made rice hits your face. The service was efficient and kind and we swiftly had our food in the car. The smell of spices tantalized the entire road home. Portion sizes are generous, be ready to have leftovers for at least tomorrow's lunch. The curry was very sweet and mild, with a ton of chicken and potatoes soaking at the bottom. The Pad Ki Mao was a mild spice (especially for Thai standards) with a good ratio of veg / chix / noodle. We both agreed the noodles were prob the better dish, but would love to try their red curry. While not my favorite Thai restaurant ever, I am pleased to find one that I like in general here in Frenso! We definitely have plans to come back and try some more of the dishes from this humble establishment and look forward to finally having a Thai takeout spot! read more

Wanted to find a sit-in restaurant to grab some noddles. Sadly this place isn't one of those places but that won't effect my review. Order to-go on a Saturday evening, an hour before they closed, ordered me some boat noddles. Phone ordering and pickup was normal, nothing fancy about it. Took the noddles home. Serving size: it's pretty big, not small like that pho place in Clovis on Herndon, don't get me started on that phoever serving size. Meat: beef stew that have been stewing for a long time, very soft since I did get some of the tendons with beef. Soup: very dirty with lotsa of blood floats everywhere, not a bad thing, it's actually okay. I have these types of soup before, so no biggie. Pho on the other hand is a clean, see through type of soup, which seems to be the opposite of this one. Flavor: It was OK, not the best flavor that I had. Could use a bit more flavor by throwing in more beef bones but eh it's eatable. At least I finished all of mine, so did my other 2 mates who ordered the same soup. The man who helped me was very nice and offered me a drink while I waited let me know how long it would take and asked if I need utensils or any extras with my order. I really like that since to me those are a waste that I don't need. I ordered the drunken noodle with chicken (pad kee mow) and crab fried rice. Both were very good. I love the crab fried rice since I don't see that option at many places. There seemed to be a decent amount of crab in the rice. The drunken noodle came with mushrooms, a little bit of mixed bell pepper, basil, white onion, and sugar snap peas I think. The only disappointment I had is that there was no egg and the veggies were a bit scarce, but other than that the taste was excellent. The portions were large and the price was good. The food we had today was ok but not the real great Thai flavor explosion that I was expecting. We had the following for today's ok lunch. If there's one thing that Fresno/Clovis can hang all day w/ other cities on, it would definitely be Thai food, as nearly all Thai restaurants in the area are pretty legit, and delicious. Whenever I visit any other area in the state, I make it a point to check out a Thai restaurant, and it's always been a hit and miss thing. It's seriously hard to find a horrible Thai restaurant in town (except for the rare exception of Thai Yum-Yum, which was pretty horrible), and I have been to nearly each one in the area at least once or twice, and all have been fairly consistent with their quality and taste. Thai Season is probably one of the best ones out there, as their Pad Thai is perfect compared to everyone else. Not as sweet as Pad Thai Restuarant's version down the street, but also not as dry as a few other ones in town, the Pad Thai here is made pretty authentically, especially since the people who run it are Thai and like to make it their way as they would eat it themselves. They put the perfect amount of tamarind and fish sauce, so that it is not overbearing with sweetness, and the noodles are always cooked perfectly and not too soft or anything. Another thing about this place are the prices, and the amount they give you. They have several combo options that are around $10, that can probably feed two people. Thai Gem a couple blocks down offers this too, but serve really small portions. Overall, great food, excellent service, and cheap prices - this place is definitely worth checking out if you love Thai food! read more

Amazing is being overused these days for food reviews, so instead let me say this place is "shocking-ly-good". I thought the food really had love of a Thai mum in it, and the taste was clearly reflected with the Thai authentic flavors; I know using authentic is again overused on yelp, so let me just say, this humble south east asian on yelp thinks that this place is the real thing. The interior although not tacky, isn't exactly stunning, nevertheless this place is one of the cleanest I've seen among all the south east asian places in Fresno and Clovis. I think this store is like a closely held secret in Clovis or something, because its been here for 5 years and I haven't seen it till today, its not big in size and its quite hidden in this small shopping centre.. Their shrimp pad thai $9.75 had quantity and quality, what I mean by that is the huge portion of the dish, yet the taste is as good as a Pad thai would taste. The shrimp was perfectly cook and nicely plump, while the noodles was al dante, furthermore the balance of sweet, salty and tang was as balanced as yin and yang in this dish. I like that aromatic flavor of lime and fish sauce- the taste is how pad thai should taste. Their Chicken Satay $7.75, was again generous with 5 sticks of nicely grilled chicken breast. The flavors of the chicken marinade was good and tasty, but the real star was that peanut sauce. Its for the first time that a Thai restaurant actually makes their peanut sauce from scratch, and the taste was bursting with flavors of nuttiness, sweetness with a hint of spiciness. The flavor was very similar to a peanut sauce that is usually made in Malaysia for their version of satay with the lemongrass essence. I had a quick takeout service and the lady taking my order was so genuine and friendly, made me feel so at home. Calling ahead for takeout is recommended for those in a rush, since food is prepared fresh and would take 10-15 minutes to be ready, but overall the wait was pretty fast and friendly. Life has been pretty crazy and take out Thai food has been my life savior! I tend to have mermaid cravings and fried fish is one of the things I crave on a regular basis. Since this place offers whole fried tilapia, I just had to try it out. Even though it was out of the way I made my way over. Don't let the hole in the wall feel deter you from coming. I've been wanting to try Thai Season for a while. Since I had the day off, I decided to pick up my go-to favorite Thai meal to try at home (tod mun/fish cakes with cucumber chili dip, pad khee mao with chicken and sticky rice). I called in my order while running errands and by the time I arrived, my meal was packaged nicely and ready to go. I was impressed with the friendliness of the woman at the register (possible owner?), who seemed to know when I walked in that I was the one who called in the order. There was another lady waiting for a meal to-go, and after brief small talk, it seemed clear she was a happy regular. The tod mun was the best I've had in the central valley. Well balanced in flavor and with a toothsome satisfying texture and a perfect fry on the outside. Along with the chili sauce (with cilantro, chopped peanuts, and chunks of cucumber), this dish was outstanding. The pad khee mao was good, but I think either the noodles were cooked too long or they sat too long and self-steamed on my fairly long drive home. The flavor was right, as was the amount of meat, but by the time I arrived home, the noodles were overcooked and stuck in clumps to each other. On the plus side, they weren't dripping in grease. Because I have no idea how the noodles would have been if I had eaten them at the restaurant, I am not holding that against Thai Season. Two things I would have changed: First--there were very few vegetables in this dish--usually, I find more. I did enjoy the fresh green beans and mushrooms--but I would have preferred at least twice as many veggies. Second--I should lave specified the level of spiciness. It was a bit hot for me--even though I usually like very spicy dishes. Next time, I'll ask them about their levels of spice and choose accordingly. And of course, the sticky rice was perfect. It's hard to mess up sticky rice--but I've seen it happen. Prices were very reasonable and portions were generous. In all, I think I may have found a new favorite Thai place in town. I picked up a to-go menu and look forward to exploring more of their dishes in the future...the very near future :) read more

We had to run some late errands in the Fresno area, and knew that we came in this restuarant fairly close to their closing time (9PM). There was a couple of guys waiting for their take out food when My husband, myself and baby walked in. They have a wall covered in menu item pictures which is helpful. And the gentleman who welcomed us did not seem frazzled that we walked in at such a late hour. He gave us menus and seated us. Previous descriptions of this small place are accurate, it looks like it doesn't fit a lot of people. What we ordered: Shrimp Pad Thai Noodles (no bean sprouts) Pad Seow Noodles with Pork and broccolli Sticky Rice Papaya Salad Pot stickers Okay....being from the small town of Visalia, where most thai places don't even serve sticky rice anymore (GASP!!) I was seriously excited that I could get that off the menu!! And the pot stickers were definitely home made. Everything we had ordered was tasty and full of flavor. Not to mention our wait for the food was not very long, I had enough time to change my baby's diaper and wash our hands and the food was already being brought to the table. And looking at the time on my cell phone I realized this restaurant was staying at work late just for us. And the best part of the genuinity and customer service was NOT ONCE were we pressured or rushed into leaving early. The same gentleman who greeted us, took our order, and served us, continually made sure our water cups were full and asked if we needed anything else. This restaurant is located in clovis and the surrounding area from first impressions looks pretty safe and clean, but this restaurant is tucked away in the corner of a shopping lot with the windows covered makes it look like it is divey, but well worth taking the time exploring. Inside is pretty well kept and has one single bathroom which is also pretty spacious and clean. Price is pretty good too. Most entre prices ranged anywhere from $5-$8.50 with special combination plates at under $10. With such awesome service, and great food for such an awesome price this first time experience was enough to convert me to a fan. This is a place I would return to again. read more

My water glass is constantly filled to the top... I drink a lot of water, so this is important to me :) A big plus is that it's clean! Bathroom included. Food always comes out within 10-15 minutes no matter how busy it is and it's hot. No luke warm shit. The food is cooked well and not too oily, greasy, dry, etc. I would recommend the Chicken Pad Thai, Som Tum, Laab, Chicken Satay, and Massaman Curry. The Thai Iced Tea is also a must. Not too sweet and just the way I like it. If you're not too familiar with Thai food, they have a wall of pictures that include their most popular dishes.
