We ordered on our phones via a QR code and was also able to pay from our phones (so convenient!) We got the lunch portions of the Chicken Pad Thai and Kra Prow Ground Chicken and also a Papaya Salad. They were all delicious! We got the Chicken Pad Thai very hot and the Kra Prow hot and I'm glad the dishes were actually spicy. I went here for dinner with my daughters. It's in a nice strip mall so there's plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a nice restaurant and a great lunch or dinner spot. The food came out very fast. I got the crispy spring rolls which were hot and crispy. My noodles came out shortly afterwards and were hot and ready to be devoured. They were nice and flavorful and full of chicken. This is some of the best Thai food I have eaten in St. Louis! I will definitely be back to try something different. Dinner after work with some friends. Much needed after our crazy week and the threat of snow on the horizon. I started with a Thai Iced Tea, perfect balance of sweet and flavor. Our table had soup, spring rolls, pad see yu, and green curry vegetables with tofu. Two opted for the coconut curry soup with chicken and one lemon grass with shrimp. I had the coconut soup, very flavorful. It did have some fibrous round straw like items that were hard to chew but not off putting enough to stop me from finishing the bowl. We did family style by ordering two entrees and sharing, there was plenty of food to go around and we had left overs. The two entrees we picked was the Claypot Green Curry Vegetable with tofu, it arrived to the table still boiling: the other dish was Pad See Yu, chicken and rice noodles. The Pad See Yu was my favorite. We sat and visited for a while enjoying the comfort of the restaurant. Plenty of tables to host a group, but I would probably call ahead for a group over 8-10, there is limited seating. The staff were friendly and helpful in us getting the perfect meal. If Thai is one of your top cuisines put this location on your "let's visit" list. They do not have menus, they use the QR code found on the table. read more

Order * 2 thai iced teas * crispy spring rolls - app * pineapple fried rice (spicy level 2) * tofu veggie platter (different name, cannot remember) * pad see yu Scan the QR code to open up the menu on your phone, it's not brain surgery, although it took dial-up-speed time to load. I didn't really care though because I'm the type to look up a menu ahead of time to decide what I want. I did notice that a party that arrived after us was served first, but I completely disregarded this since our service time was not hindered at all even though it looked like there were only 2 women serving and bussing at the same time. Wow, please give these women a raise!! We got our drinks pretty fast and our spring rolls came out soon after and they were piping hot! It's like they rolled it out of the oil and onto our table, which is fabulous. The tea was a perfect blend of tea and cream. The spices were not overwhelming and it wasn't too sweet. The spring rolls were crispy, flavorful, and I am not sure what sauce was brought out to us. Maybe a thai version of sweet and sour- whatever it was it was good! More of a liquid consistency than the thicker one with obvious chili flakes in it that I'm used to. Our entrees came out soon enough, and again the steam was just coming off the food. I know that may be odd to point out given that, well yeah, they just made your food, but it just goes to show how fresh they made it and they didn't just microwave a bunch of ingredients. Unless they did, I can't tell lol but it all tasted fresh to me! The pad see yu was good. It didn't have a forceful punch of flavor. Perhaps because I chose it with no spicy level? It was a solid good. The portion was H U G E. Definitely a family serving. I will be eating these left overs for a couple days! It's also worth mentioning that the silverware was noticeably clean. Admittedly my review is just based on the one time I've been here, but once was enough. Got a pad see ew (yu) with tofu here. I will say, the portion sizes here are very large, so you'll probably be able to split one order into two meals (or just have two people share one item). However, the dish itself is no good. First of all the type of noodle is all wrong, it's supposed to be flat thick noodles, but they have thin noodles which have the wrong consistency. Secondly, the dish is way too sweet. We started off with some potstickers and thai fresh spring rolls. The potstickers were to be dipped in a mouthwatering curry sauce which made all the difference to what would be an otherwise mundane experience. The rolls weren't your typical summer or spring rolls - fried tofu, mung beans, cucumbers, rolled into rice paper and topped off with hoison sauce - was interesting to say the least. I enjoyed it as it tasted healthy and light. I ordered the sea scallops in garlic & pepper sauce - wok tossed sea scallops with fresh garlic, black pepper, sweet green beans, carrots, topped with crispy garlic. I also added an order of steamed vegetables to the dish so I didn't chow down on too much rice and it was pretty good. Nothing to complain of. Everyone else raved about their dishes. We started with drinks and ordered the pot stickers and spring rolls for the table. The potstickers are delicious and come with a Penang sauce that is just drinkable. I had never had the spring rolls before and was very happy with them as well. For an entree I had the Penang Shrimp and my wife enjoyed Spicy Basil Beef. These guys are great at tailoring the spice level for you on the food, so you can always start low and then raise it up on successive visits. The service and ambiance was good. The dining room is small and quiet enough to have conversation, almost a little too quiet. But this could be that we went on a Monday night. They have papers with QR codes that you can order with or you can have the servers take your order. I do prefer physical menus, but do like that you can see all the modifications that can be made. The portion size was generous, 2 meals for me, 1 meal for my partner. However, for over $20 a dish, still felt a little pricey. This is my new go to Thai restaurant. We just moved to the area and were in search and found it quickly after trying this place. My favorite Thai entree is pad see yu and they made a perfect version. The sauce is not over sweet and the ratio of egg meet broccoli was perfect. We also ordered the crispy spring rolls because after a full day of moving we weren't sure if we could wait for our entrees. It was the perfect appetizer. Nice and crispy! As a second entree we shared the spicy peanut sauce with chicken and OMG was this amazing! I loved the peanut sauce and all the mix ins of cucumber, carrots, onion, crushed peanut and cilantro it was honestly refreshing and delicious. The best part about this place, in addition to the tasty food is the portion size. They are huge!! Which is perfect since Thai food makes the best leftovers! Pad Thai seems to be some of the most inconsistent foods I've experienced ordering at restaurants - what's mildly hot one day may be fire-breathing dragon hot the next, portion inconsistency, etc. Pad Thai is one of my favorite dishes and I've always been on the hunt for a joint with reliably great Pad Thai. Then I found Thai Sawadee. Their Pad Thai both at lunch and dinner is a generous portion of noodles and meat - the latter being served with chicken and shrimp. I order mine at level 3 and it comes out with a consistent level of spice each time, so I'm not left to a Russian roulette game of deciding which is the right level for me each time. The taste is the perfect balance of intense heat but excellent, deep flavor. After a year of living in St. Louis trying many Thai restaurants, I am happy to say the hunt for the perfect Pad Thai is over. read more

Overall the flavors were great, definitely not disappointed with the food. The pot stickers were good, the curry sauce was a unique twist. Spicy basil beef was very mediocre - this just tasted like a very normal Asian dish and the veggies weren't cooked super long (still super crispy but glad it's fresh). The Rad Khi Mao was tasty and the medium spice was great, but the noodles were a bit dry (could be from DoorDash and wait time) and the amount of steak was underwhelming compared to the other dish.
