This place changed ownership a year or two ago and it's just a completely different restaurant now. The food is no longer as good and the portions are way smaller. $15 for a baby amount of chicken and a bowl of vegetables that's mediocre at best? Seriously it's impressive how they took such a great spot and just completely ruined it. I don't know why you'd ever come here. It's sad because wildwood doesn't have a lot of good food spots, and this place used to be a local savior. Dear business owner, for the sake of the wildwood food scene and because I know this place can't been doing well, see below for how to fix this place: 1. Stop running this place like a cheap 2008 Chinese restaurant. For $8.50 I can get more food that tastes better from Panda Express 3 minutes down the road. You're not going to win in the budget category. 2. Wildwood is a wealthy area and wants another mid-tier restaurant like el maguey where you can have a good meal for $20. Charging $15 for slop is a losing strategy vs. charging $18 or even $20 for something pretty good. 3. Increase menu prices $2-$3 each, double the protein and increase the quality. The thin, dry, sad baby chicken portions are undesirable at any price point, I promise. 4. Fix your thin, watery curry. I'm not even sure what's happening here but it needs to change. 5. Increase non-protein portions by like 30% so that a single entree is enough for lunch or dinner. They currently are not. read more

If this is the state of Thai food around Saint Louis, it is a very sad state. We got the Pad See Ew and Drunken Noodle. Both mostly noodles. We scrolled through the pictures before ordering thinking they would be representative of what we were getting. Not even close. All noodles, level 4 spice was definitely mild. They used chopped baby carrots, undercooked and beyond the carrots no other veggies existed. The dish should be renamed noodles with dark soy sauce. Even the noodles were dry. We also got the papaya salad which we had a many places and rarely disappoints. I guess the first for everything. We got it in level 3 spice and it was mostly sweet which was super surprising. Thai bistro is a lovely little Thai restaurant in Wildwood square. Nestled into the plaza next to a Subway sandwich. Shop, fix this nice little establishment for Thai food. On my most recent trip I tried the vegetable medley with tofu and jasmine rice and an appetizer of crab Rangoon at $9. The vegetables were tasty and cooked tender but firm. A nice mixture of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, mushrooms and onions with bell peppers. The tofu was firm and crispy. Spice level of 2 was perfect for this dish as it did not overpower the taste of the dish. The crib Rangoon was excellent! If your out in wildwood and have a hunger for Thai food. I would recommend you stop in at Thai bistro. read more

A nice little family Thai shop that lets you pick the level of spice you desire. We ordered Beef Pad Thai and and drunken noodles. The beef was sparse at best and hence the three stars. Spice level three was average and four was better. Crab Rangoon was a little overdone. I will try this place again. Nice friendly service but value needs to be addressed. read more

Always a treat when traveling and you can find an authentic Thai restaurant that's a 5 min walk from the hotel. This was it! Stayed at the nearby Wildwood Hotel. Was able to order online, which was helpful. They were bagging up our order when I walked in. From the time I left the hotel to the time I returned with our food--around 12 minutes. I enjoyed the Pad Thai and my wife loved the Thai fried rice. Both came in large portions. Very good value. Friendly staff and a great true local restaurant vibe. Highly recommend. So this is an unusual review in that my vegan son stopped in for lunch the day after Thanksgiving with his friend who is actually from Thailand. Tom yum soup with #2 spice was PERFECT! So fresh tasting and a wonderful sour and heat mixture. I had the tofu in it which was browned nicely for a little toasty flavoring. I went with a safe Pineapple Fried Rice w/chicken choice for the entree with #2 heat. Again, very fresh tasting with nice additions of carrots, peanuts and even a few raisins. Enjoyable! I would go up to #3 heat next time. My friend had the drunken noodles and I got a little jealous after tasting his. My cousin had eaten here a couple of months ago and said it was good. My dinner date ordered the stir fry vegetables with rice. I ordered the Curry Noodle Bowl (Glass Noodle With Egg, White Onion, Bell Pepper, Carrot, Broccoli, Tomato, Bean Sprout And Spring Onion) with Shrimp. We were both happy with our entrees. I loved the curry broth mine came with. It had the perfect amount of curry flavor and heat. I really like the way Thai dishes incorporate coconut milk in them. The pad thai is average compared to the others I've had. Level 2 spicy is plenty. The bua loi desert is coconut milk with rice balls and was perhaps too sweet but was very good. It did make me feel uncomfortable that an eight year old girl was operating the counter. read more

The food portion was way less than what other Thai places offer. All the curries were watery and oily. It was mostly vegetables and less curry. The service was slow but still good. The place is too small and can only fit one large crowd. Overall, for price we paid it was expensive compared to other popular Thai restaurants and taste was subpar too. read more

Great service, a warm welcome, but (with the exception of the sesame balls) underwhelming food. The crying tiger beef salad had a very nice piece of meat, good sauce, but not enough "salad". The Panang chicken curry had lot of fresh veggies (good), but the sauce was very thin, a bit too sweet and not enough coconut milk richness or lime punch. No Thai basil in either dish. The sesame balls, however, were amazing! Perhaps there were other dishes (such as any of the noodle dishes or soups) that would have been better. I have eaten here a handful of times since moving to the area. It's always been just ok, but tonight's meal was actually disgusting. The crab rangoon was rancid - filling completely sour and spoiled, I ordered a cashew stir fry with chicken in which I got about three pieces of chicken and no cashews, not a single one. We ordered drunken noodles with pork with a spice level 2, no flavor or spice at all and the pork was so over cooked it was hard to chew. So disappointed and I definitely won't be back. read more
