Great food and service , we love Thai Bistro !!! The food , veggies are so fresh and lots of them !

This place changed ownership a year or two ago and it's just a completely different restaurant now. The food is no longer as good and the portions are way smaller. $15 for a baby amount of chicken and a bowl of vegetables that's mediocre at best? Seriously it's impressive how they took such a great spot and just completely ruined it. I don't know why you'd ever come here. It's sad because wildwood doesn't have a lot of good food spots, and this place used to be a local savior. Dear business owner, for the sake of the wildwood food scene and because I know this place can't been doing well, see below for how to fix this place: 1. Stop running this place like a cheap 2008 Chinese restaurant. For $8.50 I can get more food that tastes better from Panda Express 3 minutes down the road. You're not going to win in the budget category. 2. Wildwood is a wealthy area and wants another mid-tier restaurant like el maguey where you can have a good meal for $20. Charging $15 for slop is a losing strategy vs. charging $18 or even $20 for something pretty good. 3. Increase menu prices $2-$3 each, double the protein and increase the quality. The thin, dry, sad baby chicken portions are undesirable at any price point, I promise. 4. Fix your thin, watery curry. I'm not even sure what's happening here but it needs to change. 5. Increase non-protein portions by like 30% so that a single entree is enough for lunch or dinner. They currently are not. read more

If this is the state of Thai food around Saint Louis, it is a very sad state. We got the Pad See Ew and Drunken Noodle. Both mostly noodles. We scrolled through the pictures before ordering thinking they would be representative of what we were getting. Not even close. All noodles, level 4 spice was definitely mild. They used chopped baby carrots, undercooked and beyond the carrots no other veggies existed. The dish should be renamed noodles with dark soy sauce. Even the noodles were dry. We also got the papaya salad which we had a many places and rarely disappoints. I guess the first for everything. We got it in level 3 spice and it was mostly sweet which was super surprising. It's usually a little spicy and sour... not this one. Do not recommend, good luck on your choice. read more

Not sure what happened to this place but their food has changed for the worse... by a lot. I ordered the Crispy Chicken and it came with about half a cup of rice, a tiny half filled cup of curry, and about a cup of pre-made (grocery store quality) breaded chicken patty. The chicken was incredibly overcooked. In total, the meal looked, and tasted, like a tv dinner. It used to be pretty good, but we won't be returning. read more

Definitely one of the better Thai places in the area. We've had a ton of Thai food in various cities over the years, and this is such a solid option. Everything we've tried has been great so far. The service was excellent as well. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area. read more

Thai bistro is a lovely little Thai restaurant in Wildwood square. Nestled into the plaza next to a Subway sandwich. Shop, fix this nice little establishment for Thai food. On my most recent trip I tried the vegetable medley with tofu and jasmine rice and an appetizer of crab Rangoon at $9. The vegetables were tasty and cooked tender but firm. A nice mixture of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, mushrooms and onions with bell peppers. The tofu was firm and crispy. Spice level of 2 was perfect for this dish as it did not overpower the taste of the dish. The crib Rangoon was excellent! If your out in wildwood and have a hunger for Thai food. I would recommend you stop in at Thai bistro. read more

A nice little family Thai shop that lets you pick the level of spice you desire. We ordered Beef Pad Thai and and drunken noodles. The beef was sparse at best and hence the three stars. Spice level three was average and four was better. Crab Rangoon was a little overdone. I will try this place again. Nice friendly service but value needs to be addressed. read more

The new owners seemed to have found their stride. Small place with a couple tables. Pad Thai was a little too sweet for my liking, but daughter and wife loved it. I had the Thai fried rice. The starter course was amazing. I'm not a fan of dumping's but theses were worth the drive for. Toni's main course is was rich and vibrant in colour. The rice was cooked perfect as were the vegetables. The tofu fried to perfection. My salmon was cooked perfect with a blackened spice rub and crispy skin the pineapple was rice was average. Always a treat when traveling and you can find an authentic Thai restaurant that's a 5 min walk from the hotel. This was it! Stayed at the nearby Wildwood Hotel. Was able to order online, which was helpful. They were bagging up our order when I walked in. From the time I left the hotel to the time I returned with our food--around 12 minutes. I enjoyed the Pad Thai and my wife loved the Thai fried rice. Both came in large portions. Very good value. Friendly staff and a great true local restaurant vibe. Highly recommend. First off, this is an authentic Thai restaurant. Or at least the employees can speak Thai. So this is an unusual review in that my vegan son stopped in for lunch the day after Thanksgiving with his friend who is actually from Thailand. I figured that that qualifies them as experts on that type of food. THEY actually took the photos. So my Vegan Son was happy with his meal and so was his friend. The dishes are delicious here! Such delicate flavors and full of fresh veggies. The service was good and our food always comes out quickly.

Tom yum soup with #2 spice was PERFECT! So fresh tasting and a wonderful sour and heat mixture. I had the tofu in it which was browned nicely for a little toasty flavoring. I went with a safe Pineapple Fried Rice w/chicken choice for the entree with #2 heat. Again, very fresh tasting with nice additions of carrots, peanuts and even a few raisins. Enjoyable! I would go up to #3 heat next time. My friend had the drunken noodles and I got a little jealous after tasting his. I'll be back to order this for myself Update: went back for those Drunken noodles and they did not disappoint! Had the Tom yum soup again as well and could hardly walk out. I was out an about on a weeknight and looking for somewhere to eat on Manchester Rd. Through a series of events we ended up at Thai Bistro. My cousin had eaten here a couple of months ago and said it was good. My dinner date ordered the stir fry vegetables with rice. I ordered the Curry Noodle Bowl (Glass Noodle With Egg, White Onion, Bell Pepper, Carrot, Broccoli, Tomato, Bean Sprout And Spring Onion) with Shrimp. We were both happy with our entrees. I loved the curry broth mine came with. It had the perfect amount of curry flavor and heat. I really like the way Thai dishes incorporate coconut milk in them. You get that creamy satisfying flavor but no dairy! Nice family running the place. I will be back! read more

The pad thai is average compared to the others I've had. Level 2 spicy is plenty. The bua loi desert is coconut milk with rice balls and was perhaps too sweet but was very good. It did make me feel uncomfortable that an eight year old girl was operating the counter. read more

The food portion was way less than what other Thai places offer. All the curries were watery and oily. It was mostly vegetables and less curry. The service was slow but still good. The place is too small and can only fit one large crowd. Overall, for price we paid it was expensive compared to other popular Thai restaurants and taste was subpar too. read more

We have lived in Wildwood for 5 years and just tried Thai Bistro for the first time tonight.... I cannot believe we didn't go sooner!!!! Our waitress, Elizabeth, was on top of it, kind, knowledgeable, efficient! The restaurant was clean and food made fresh to order! Absolutely outstanding, fresh, authentic Thai food. Everything made to order with fresh quality ingredients, down to the crunchy cucumbers that were perfectly seasoned. We had miso soup and about 6 other dishes and every one of them was a knockout. BTW, I am from west coast and a snobby eater. This little place is worth finding. read more

Great service, a warm welcome, but (with the exception of the sesame balls) underwhelming food. The crying tiger beef salad had a very nice piece of meat, good sauce, but not enough "salad". The Panang chicken curry had lot of fresh veggies (good), but the sauce was very thin, a bit too sweet and not enough coconut milk richness or lime punch. No Thai basil in either dish. The sesame balls, however, were amazing! Perhaps there were other dishes (such as any of the noodle dishes or soups) that would have been better. I have eaten here a handful of times since moving to the area. It's always been just ok, but tonight's meal was actually disgusting. The crab rangoon was rancid - filling completely sour and spoiled, I ordered a cashew stir fry with chicken in which I got about three pieces of chicken and no cashews, not a single one. We ordered drunken noodles with pork with a spice level 2, no flavor or spice at all and the pork was so over cooked it was hard to chew. So disappointed and I definitely won't be back. read more
