We stopped in for dinner two nights of our vacation for a delicious meal. The service is outstanding and the food has delicious flavors. I highly recommend this restaurant

I'm so glad we came here. Panang curry was fantastic! I ordered Hot and that was really hot even for an Indian taste buds. Liked it! The decor is beautiful. And the guy who was serving us was super nice. The Panang curry paste was probably made at the restaurant. It definitely felt more homely. Also, I think they ground fresh coconut with the curry paste. Generally, you can tell when they add the store bought coconut milk on top. It was really good.

everything simply amazing! almost caught ourselves planning to eat there after 1 meal. everything is made to order, hot && fresh, flavorful and a huge serving! as soon as you order the turn around time is quick. its a holiday weekend so can expect why they were busy && thankfully they have a reset because on a day like we went it was needed!

Every time we visit Kill Devil Hills we eat at the Thai Room. It's so authentic and delicious. I especially love the veggies they use for their dishes, always fresh and plenty!

We stopped here for an early lunch and it was incredible. I'm a bit of a heat seeker so, I ordered everything hot! My mom and cousin tried the basil fried rice while I had Spicy Thai noodles with beef (pad thai) we also had pork dumplings spring rolls and summer rolls the drinks were delicious and refreshing

Thai Room's food is always delicious and consistent and reasonably priced! I could eat their pad thai, fried dumplings, and crab rangoon at least 2-3x a week! Service is always fast and friendly and it's a welcoming environment!

We were looking for an Asian restaurant and saw this one on yelp. We got there when they first opened and were greeted and sat right away. We ordered the satay as an appetizer. It was really good and I liked the mixture of pork and chicken. I have the basil noodles with shrimp. I got mine mild but it was a little spicy. Overall a pretty good meal.

[Coronavirus review] I ordered takeout, which was reasonably efficient and timely; mine was brought to me as I set on a bench outside. They did have a couple of tables set up for outdoor dining, but you'd have to be Johnny on the spot to snag one; the larger (and nicer) indoor dining room is currently off-limits, but sitting in a strip mall is better than nothing. They offer a vegetarian section, which they label as vegan to forestall any hidden fish sauce nonsense. I checked off the maximum spice level on my drunken noodles, and having seen pictures, asked for no broccoli. They delivered on both counts. It was a pretty serious burn; it might have dampened the overall flavor mix a little bit, but it would be hypocritical of me to fault them. Perhaps stepping down to merely "Thai hot" delivers a more balanced flavor. Still, the crisp snow peas were a highlight among the non-broccoli vegetables that remained. I was a bit miffed at having to pay to add tofu, and it seemed pre-fried and didn't quite take on the flavor of the sauce. However, the overall dish was steaming hot and a good portion size. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but to get legit fish-free Thai next to the beach was a win.

Fresh and delicious food. Tried the Sesame Chicken and Sweet & Sour Pork which were much more than the typical take-out fare.

This is a nice little place with a pretty complete menu. I struggled to choose. It would be quite pleasant to dine-in here but they are probably doing more carry-out. Ms T chose her usual Pad See Ewe with chicken. The chicken was dry and had not absorbed any flavor. It was missing that smoky flavor that comes with noodles fried this way. It was barely OK. I decided to try the Gai Yang Thai Barbecue Chicken. I received a chunk of very dry breast meat and a drumstick. Again the flavorings were not remarkable. This breast piece was dry, nearly inedible. I chopped it up and put some of the good soy based sauce that they provided and managed to eat it. The drumstick was not dry, but again was not flavorful. This came with vegetables that I really liked. I seriously do not think the rice was Jasmine. It was not fragrant. It was more like Japanese sticky rice. The Chicken with Thai basil was the best of the lot. I was concerned about too much basil, but ended up wishing for more. This chicken was better than the other dishes. We really wanted to like this food but were disappointed. We enjoy Thai flavors and they were sadly lacking here. The servings were generous. For us this is a weak three stars.

Reader, I was wrong - this soup was in fact Thai level spicy. I would go as far as to say it was instrumental in cutting my cold short. Cleared my sinuses up immediately. But the Thai food isn't even the best part about this place. They also serve fresh sushi, and the rice to fish ratio is exactly right, not just a bunch of rice with a little fish in the middle which is my ultimate pet peeve. I ordered a toro roll and not only was the fish super fresh, but the roll was well constructed. Ambiance wise this place is bright, clean and modern. Service was fast and friendly.
