Really good, clean food! This is a great spot for mixed diets, ages, abilities, and bodies. That sounds specific but our party included large-bodied people, older folks who are hard of hearing and looking for some healthier options, some adventurous foodie types, and VEGANS! The variety of this group makes it almost impossible to please everyone. Corolla Bowls is the answer to our dining problems! In addition to an inclusive menu, the restaurant is beautiful. The word "bowls" conjures up counter-service fast casual but the space is elegantly decorated and tasteful with full service/cloth napkins/attractive dishes, etc. Definitely date-worthy. I'll also add: the wait times at most restaurants in Timbuck Too get pretty out of hand during the summer. We were seated almost immediately every time we've come here. read more

Place is very clean and food was good! Came in around 4:30pm and was sat right away. The only thing that would have gave them 5 stars. The veggie tempura was overcooked and cold. The General Tao's chicken was also cold and could have used more sauce but was still tasty. Overall I'd recommend! read more

I got a tofu poke bowl and it was excellent. The tofu was perfect, the vegetables were fresh and crisp, and the rice was amazing.

Food was absolutely delicious. Service was great but they were understaffed when we went so they weren't great with drinks (or making them at the bar). Also very cute inside! read more

After eating all over the Outer Banks this week, Corolla Bowls was easily the standout. Honestly one of those places where after the first few bites you already know you'll be coming back again before vacation is over. The food was ridiculously fresh, packed with flavor, and the portions were actually satisfying instead of the overpriced tiny servings a lot of places around here try to get away with. The service was just as impressive. Our waiter was genuinely friendly, quick, attentive, and made us feel welcomed the entire time instead of rushed like most tourist spots. The whole place had a great atmosphere and felt clean and well run. If you're in Corolla and debating where to eat, skip the gimmicky tourist trap restaurants and come here instead. We were here in off season and all looked quiet, but we went in here and got a fantastic meal regardless of everything else nearby being closed. The food was delicious, we ate from the lunch special menu. There was a bar for drinks and nice seating as well as nice decor and vibe. AK and staff were amazing the last time we were here a couple months ago. Food was fresh drinks were even better. He introduced us to some local beer from breweries that were not even open yet. 3 of us went for lunch. We got two spicy tuna Poke bowls and 1 chicken pad Thai. It was all delicious and we would go back. I wouldn't call it a cheap lunch but I am ok paying the price for quality ingredients and good food. I tried my husband's Poke and I got the pad Thai. They were both amazing. I will say often the spice on Poke bowls is some type of spicy sauce cut with mayo to make it creamy. This one was not, it was quite spicy which we don't mind but might not get the spicy version next time. Service was pretty good but we were one of maybe 2 groups dining in. Surprisingly, there aren't many Asian food options that I could find in the Corolla area. Stumbled upon this place by accident while walking around Timbuk II. This was a welcomed change from pizza, burgers and BBQ. I ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl which was extremely good. Highly recommend giving this place a chance if you're out this way. read more

Very fresh, excellent service. My daughter and I ordered take out and sat outside by the stores at the picnic tables. She had Korean and I had Poke. Both were amazing! Too bad we don't live closer, this would be a regular stop. The ones taking our order and running the floor were so kind and carried on great conversation. Was here in Corolla for an annual vacation. Would like to stop back, but mostly encourage others. Oh, btw, mine was gluten free and I needed that for my intolerance. Great meals, great place! read more

Eating here was an experience. I ordered crab ragoon but it had no crab so it was a cream cheese rangon. The service was horrible. First multiple tables were served before my party and when our server finally came, after we waved him down, he was rude. Then after waiting 20 minutes for our food, 2 people of our party of 8 got theirs. Then like a slow trickle from a leaking faucet, the other people in party started getting their food one. We were finally happy that our food arrived. But the problems continued, my vegan sister ordered vegan noodles but got fish noodles instead. Then I had to flag down a different server to get the check because our original one never came back to the table. It took another 5-10 minutes to get it. He took my sister card but forgot to run it. My husband and I stopped in here for lunch. We were greeted by a very personable man behind the counter who took our order. He came to our table a few times to ask how the food was. The chicken is ground chicken, which I though was very good. What you see on top is an egg. Very Asian. A little heat, but not too much. You could add more heat. Came here for lunch to break up a long day at the beach, safe to say we were pleased. I had the spicy tuna poke bowl and was satiated. The tuna had the perfect texture, the rice was incredible, and the vegetable toppings always were a fun surprise party in my mouth, with the perfect amount of spice. Our food was served promptly, but we did have to wait on my sister's chicken satay, but that's ok.
