This place is weird. We stopped during Fall Arts Walk and you'd think they would staff up on one of the busiest nights in downtown Olympia. We were seated quickly, but there were lots of dirty tables around us. It took about 10 minutes to have our order taken and for water. Then, we waited 45 minutes for our food. While we were waiting, those tables were never cleared. At least 6 parties came in and were turned away. "Can't you clean those ones?" "I don't have time" was her response. She was the only one working the floor. Once the food finally arrived, it was really quite good. I would recommend the food, but the service left something to be desired. read more

Our family has decided that this is the best Thai food in the Olympia/Tumwater/Lacey area. The dishes are very fresh, and the owners are delightful. We've eaten in, and we've ordered to go. Favorite dishes so far: any of the curries (though the Tropical Jade curry is my personal favorite - love the fresh avocado!), the fresh rolls w/ shrimp, the Bangkok Noodles (Pad See Iew) w/ tofu, and any of the above (and other items) w/ tempeh. Cute, cozy place with attentive service and an extensive menu. Really good phad thai - excellent flavor, noodle consistency (nice & dry w some spring to it), and chicken done just right. Not dried out or rubbery as you often encounter atop phad thai. Tom ka gai was VERY tasty but lacked vegetables, with the exception of ginger chunks. Green curry was equally delicious, but they went a little crazy with the bamboo shoots. The dish was hurting for veggie variety. Dinner included some of the best brown rice I've ever been served in a restaurant, great texture and nutty flavor. Overall, a really decent find. read more

Let's be honest. The Thai situation in this area is pretty lackluster. I've eaten at pretty much every place listed and this is the only one I like coming to so far. Fairly priced. Decent-sized portions. The food is pretty good - veggies are always fresh and if I ask for it spicy, it is actually spicy. And for all the people complaining about there only being one server - suck it up. The staff is super nice and the restaurant business is hard enough without needing to accommodate for the relatively infrequent occasions that they are busy enough to actually NEED two servers. read more

This place has been one of our favorite Thai restaurants in town. Last night we went with friends, it was a little busy, but not ridiculously busy. We were a party of 6, so again not a real large group either. The experience was bad. Our food took nearly an hour to get, and once we did, it was like pulling teeth to get anything. We had to ask for silver, get up and bug the kitchen help for chopsticks had. One of our friends food never came when the rest of ours did, after a long wait we finally went up and asked, the food was sitting there, cold of course. They were absolutely clueless, they didn't even offer a sorry for the screw up. read more

Only reason I came here was to try somewhere downtown I haven't been to, now I know to never come back. The spring rolls are pretty good, and big, but doesn't make up for mediocre food. The green curry tastes like my mom's. She makes hers out of a can. The pad thai is IDENTICAL to" the taste of thai" brand box mix of pad thai from the super market. Why spend money on something out of a box and can???? I wanted to give this place a 2 but the service was awful!!! There was only one table and it took the server an eternity to fill our waters, never said thank you, your welcome, hi how are you doing and such, no attempt to be friendly whatsoever. And it's not like we were being rude, we smiled a lot and said thank you to everything. read more

Love love love there Pad Thai vegetable. Delicious flavor. Hard to find well made vegetarian Pad Thai. Thai Pavilion adds little chunks of tofu with the veggie PadThai mmmm mmmm mmmm!!! Their peanut sauce it delicious too! Make sure you check there hours of operation. They take a break in the day from 2:30 to 5:30 during the week. Not sure on the weekends. Try the lunch special. This rest changed hands about a year ago and did not change the menu, thank god, I love the east meets west and most of the other items on the menu!! I've never had a bad meal or service. i get take out from here often. their brown rice is actually a red rice that is fantastic. & they made up a curry that has avocado in it. it is my favorite! wonderful blend of flavors and they are so nice about adding vegetables upon request (i always ask them to add broccoli & red pepper & hold the big onions). love their willingness to accommodate my requests. yummy (& big) fresh spring rolls too. read more
