Super bummed writing this as this place used to be one of our favorites. They have new staff in the kitchen and the food just isn't the same. The last three times we tried it, it was not good at all. You order not spicy, you get spicy, order no peanuts, you get a ton of them, order extra sauce, you get barely any, extra noodles, you get less than half the usual amount. Three times we have had to just throw the food out as we live a bit far from main street. Tonight was the last time we'll go there. Used to love this place and the food, now it's just gross :( read more

The gentleman who I ordered from in person was super helpful and friendly. My boyfriend has cancer, and due to trying to give him the best chance at beating the disease, we both are vegan (NO DAIRY, EGGS, MEAT). The server was informed of our dietary restrictions, and he assured me it would be no issue. I ordered: *Spring rolls *Yellow curry *Drunken noodles (his suggestion) *Pad Thai The Drunken Noodles had tons of scrambled eggs in them. We called the store, and the front server apologized, saying there should be no eggs and that it was an accident because he didn't specify our order. Cool. No big deal. But it should have been taken care of by the establishment at no cost to the patron. We live on the Divide and just paid $12 + tip for a course we cannot eat. This is one instance, but I could only imagine how they rectify other order mishaps.. Despite that issue, the food was delicious. The food was decent. However, the customer service was extremely uncomfortable. It was a young woman who took long blinks whenever I took a second longer to think or asked a question. She made the effort to let me know I was a burden with her sighs. We stayed in Placerville for three days and never returned to this establishment. read more

2 for 2 on this place. Got to try the croquette (pretty average compared to competition) and the Chicken pad se ew, amazing flavors! Of course also got my spicy tonkatsu like last time and the consistency needs to be noticed, spot on! If your in the area, this place is a must! read more

Best Thai / Ramen fusion place in the foothills.

Excellent food. Drunken noodles and massaman curry were both very good. The drunken noodles especially had a lot of flavor to them. By comparison the curry a little less so, but I think that's normal. There menu doesn't explicitly list the vegetarian options, but states that most things can be made vegetarian, which proved to be the case for everything we asked about, and their tofu was quite tasty. It's a really tiny place, with only 3 or 4 tables, and to use the bathroom you have to walk right through the kitchen (don't know if they regularly allow people to do that, or if we got lucky). Terrible. First, let me clarify that the flavor of the food here is incredible. However, after coming here multiple time I have started to notice how inconsistent it is. Sometimes the portions are large, sometimes you are paying for rice with sauce. They are moving locations and today my food came with missing ingredients (my spicy green bean dish didn't have green beans, and the yakisoba didn't have mushrooms and was a mushy mess). I have a feeling they were low on ingredients due to moving, but they should tell their customers that their order would be completely different than expected. Go to Thai House in Cameron park. WAY better and great service. read more

This place is a family favorite. We try to eat out at/take-out from a local restaurant at least once a week to support our local economy. We're trying lots of new places, but find ourselves here a disproportionate number of times. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Even before COVID-19, seating was extremely limited. Delicious Thai food! We love the Tom Ka Gai soup, red curry chicken & chicken pho, which comes with all the lovely rice noodles, fresh basil (yum!), bean sprouts, hot peppers. Delish! Pad thai is also very good. We have 2 family members who are gluten-free, 2 who are not, and the staff here never mixes up any order. I've tried this place twice. The first time the BD to go. I asked for the drunken noodles without meat or bell peppers. Just noodles and onions and make it spicy. It came out with just noodles and onions. So, more like a pad see ew, right? It was of course bland. The second time I went to pick up. Man. It is small and HOT inside. They had the doors opened but no a/c, it was pushing 100 and the kitchen is bigger than the dining area so all that heat was just being pushed out front. But I saw one table there and another guy sitting outside eating in the blazing sun. So if you're a sucker for the sun, then this is your go to place in the summer. I think I ordered drunken noodles again. They once again did not make it spicy. But the taste was better because the basil was added. Ordered pad see ew for the kiddo and it was a great base. My Thai tea was a let down. Very watery, light in color, and barely any cream. The boba is nice but I want my full flavored full fat Thai iced tea that is common in all Thai restaurants. Being Thai, I listened to the employees in the back. Everyone is friendly and my food came out when it said it would. We don't always eat Thai at home. But when we get a craving for it we may come back. There's two Thai restaurants in town. One is closer and has an easy parking lot. read more

First time coming here...and won't be the last! I ordered the chicken drunken noodle, the vegetables were fresh and crisp, the sauce was very tasty as it had a tiny bite of hot to it but it was very, very good. I also had the mango and sweet rice. I'm not a huge fan of mango but this dish came sliced on top of the sweet rice which had a coconut milk sauce on it. The mango was delicious, not over ripe nor under ripe, simply perfect. I sat and ate my lunch inside the tiny restaurant. The cook and servers were friendly and efficient. Definitely will come back to try other dishes. read more

Ok so here we go. My husband and I went and ordered the pad thai with shrimp and chicken. Sooooo there were 3 shrimp which were saute'd separate from the actual pad thai. They had no flavor and were just placed on top of the noodles. Their were 2 small chunks of chicken and a big pile of noodles that tasted like they were tossed in ketchup. They didn't even put any peanuts on it. I was looking forward to peanuts! We also ordered coconut shrimp appetizer and that was excellent. I went back to work and other co workers said they loved it and maybe they were having an off day. Off day or not this wasn't a cheap meal and restaurants should be consistent all the time. read more

This is the JAM!!!! Oh my goodness, I have had lots of thai food in many cities, and this is up there with the best. It's a teeny little joint, but a great cozy space. I've eaten both inside the restaurant here and taken the food to go... and wow, I'm so very grateful for this place! Thai cuisine is one of my favorite foods and I am seriously so uplifted that this place does not disappoint. My expectations were not high, since this little space on Main has never been all that successful as far as past ventures go. But they nail it at Thai Noodle! It is so fresh and yummy and when you save the leftovers it's JUST AS GOOD the next day! I also had ramen here and it was great. I highly recommend the drunken noodles and pad thai, which I've done with shrimp. And they will also do most dishes without any meat, all veggie, even tho the menu board is mostly meat they'll sub tofu and veggies, no problem. WE ARE SO LUCKY to have this on Main. We were excited to try this new little Asian cuisine spot on Main Street. Greg and Minnie were very helpful when taking out orders. They were also very open to suggestions as this is a brand new location for them. I ordered the khao soi noodles which were perfect, and just how I expected. My husband ordered the tonkatsu ramen. He loved it. I'm picky with ramen, and I think they can improve on the broth a tad bit (with garlic and sesame flavor, was a bit "porky") but the noodles were cooked to perfection. Not easy to do. My daughter ordered the pho, and that tasted exactly how we expected. Yummy and simple. My youngest ordered the teriyaki chicken and rice. Something very hard to mess up, and they came out above average on that dish. Sweet, savory, grilled and flavorful. Ordering for 4 was a bit pricey, about $50, but will be an awesome date spot for 2. Welp... I really, really liked this place. I have it at least once a month. Or... HAD it rather. And perhaps this is on me, I should have asked, but... when a place says 'vegetarian', I think the entire dish is vegetarian. Not so here. Outside of the Shio Ramen, ALL the soups use animal broth. I have tried several of their ramen. Near the end of 6 months of chemo, I had a bone dry mouth and food had no flavor. I found soup the easiest to eat. This restaurant & their ramen was a godsend! Their ramen broth is homemade and full of flavor! The Spicy Tonkotsu & Tom Yum Shrimp Ramen are really good! I always had more than enough for 2nd day servings. On Doordash orders, I would ask for extra broth & would heat the ramen for breakfast, to help hydrate my mouth from sleep. So much flavor! My mom thought I was nuts, lol, but you do what you need to. This is a new spot in town, and I am very excited about it! It's really hard to find anything that resembles non-American food in Placerville, and the few spots that are up here normally aren't very good. This is a tiny noodle shop, with a couple counter seats and two tables. They also have a table outside if you happen to have a dog with you. Most of the dishes they offer are Thai based - nothing too crazy, I think they know the clientele of Placerville. They do have many of the main staples though. They also offer Pho and Ramen (can't speak to how good these are yet). We opted for shrimp pad Thai and Pad See Ew - pretty hard to mess those up. The kitchen is very small, so they got one dish out and then had to cook the other. It was only about 5 minutes between, though I imagine if they had been busy it might have been much longer. Everything was good! I was so pleasantly surprised. My pad see ew was pretty skimpy on the veggies, but full of chicken to make up for it. Good portion sizes as well. Best Thai I've ever had - no, but DEFINITELY the best in the area. Two water bottles and plates set us back $25. They do takeout, and take cards ($7 min purchase). Most menu items are between $9-11. They also offer Thai tea/coffee and boba. I am very excited to go back and try more of their dishes. read more

Yes!! Ramen in Placerville, are you kidding me?! And good ramen at that. Not as good as the places in downtown Sacramento, but this place was fast, not overly expensive, and had a great selection of ramen and curry dishes as well as appetizers and teas.
