I am moving up my review because this place has been really consistent and quite delicious. The service from the owners are kind and genuine. I have not had any food that I do not love. As I work through their menu I will say their pad Thai and masaman curry is fantastic. The soups are also hearty and satisfying. I definitely recommend this restaurant. The portion size is fantastic for the price. The spice level is real here. 3 or 4 will treat you right.

Really good Thai here in Canton, and the only Thai restaurant in Canton as well. I tried the Shrimp Tempura, Thai Chicken Wings, and Drunken Noodles. The Shrimp Tempura was delicious! Perfectly breaded and fried to golden, shrimpy deliciousness! The Thai Chicken Wings were really good. The chicken was good quality and tasted nicely brined. They were cooked to perfection and I would order them again. The dipping sauce, however, was a little weird...it tasted like ketchup with a little bit of sweet, chili sauce. But I'd definitely get the wings again, I just wouldn't worry about dipping them. The Drunken Noodles were fantastic. I ordered them with pork and to a spice level of 3 out of 5. The spice level is correct. The 3 is a good medium with enough heat to make your forehead glisten...but not to cause big beads of sweat. The spice did not obliterate the taste and I could taste every delicious flavor complemented by the perfect heat. I have no doubt that if you like it SPICY, YOU WILL GET IT SPICY HERE. Also, the service from Phoung was fantastic. She was super friendly and a wonderfully hostess, server, cook. She did it all and did it with grace. Please let this restaurant get into a good groove before complaining about extended waits. She was literally the only person working the entire front and helping with the cooking and the food still came out in a relatively good time. Lastly...I hope she sees this...larb gai would be a great addition to the menu!

Why is everything sweet? I've had food from here 3 times. None of it has had much flavor, and sweet is always a prevalent flavor. I don't care for sweet except in desserts. Too bad. I would like to find good Asian food in Canton. Maybe someday.

    This place gets packed!

The food is amazing. I have been here 2 weeks in a row. I love spicy food. But spisy lever 3 is a bit of a struggle for me. I love the service. They are kind gentle and funny all in one! It is very enjoyable to experience some cultural differences. I like being a fly on the wall. The restaurant is a very clean and simple but tasteful design. People were waiting on tables by the time I left. I will come again.

My husband didn't eat more than a bite of the strange pad Thai they served him, swimming in some type of tomato like sauce.

Ordered pad Thai and drunken noodles. I've never tasted pad thai like this in my life and not in a good way. It tasted like it was cooked in a can of Campbell's tomato soup concentrate, very strange. The owner refused to come to our table so we could ask for something special for our son since they don't have a kids menu we just wanted noodles with some light sauce and beef. So when the (sweet) waiter brought out 2 bowls of plain boiled noodles and boiled pork she got mad at him for messing it up, but he was doing his best and her attitude was really rude. She spent 5 min taking the order of the ladies by us but refused to come help us with our order, is it because we are white? No other obvious reason. So it was a one and done for us. I reallllly would like to see a good Thai place come to Canton bc it's my most favorite food. Won't be back for another round here.

Teriyaki dish. I will not order again. He did not care at all but to tell me that they were not in the dish. Someone needs a new job.

We started with the gyoza and the tempura calamari (comes with a wasabi mayo sauce). The udon soup is huge and so worth the price. The broth is fantastic, toppings are awesome, the tempura you get was perfectly fried and came out hot. And if you need to know about the sushi rolls definitely get them, so much more filling and quality then I have gotten at similar places around the area. Ambiance is good. The outside you can tell it used to be a Waffle House, but inside they have some amazing decorations. The bathrooms are super clean, and for the lil ones they have some stuff running on the tv they have. Spend your money here, you will for sure be leaving knowing it was money well spent. For sure they will continuously get my families business.

So when we come to Kennesaw/ Barrett Pkwy area, the traffic is usually so bad that we just settle…read morewhen going out to eat over here and end up getting some mediocre mall area food. Today my wife and I were intentionally seeking out something spectacular. I found Soi 3 Thai Street Food here on Yelp (as one should do) and I felt good about what I saw, from the menu, to the pics, to the reviews. My god I'm glad we turned off of the main drag and came here. We were greeted and seated right away. We came a little early and it was not too busy. Service wise, our experience started off REALLY well. Our server was Tarik. This place better hang on to this guy. When I say it was the best service in 5 years in any restaurant I've eaten in lately, I am not exaggerating. We let him know that this was our first time in and asked for recommendations. He went through each of the sections with us and highlighted a few. He really knows the menu and that's increasingly rare these days in most restaurants. I landed on the Gai Yang Chicken which was a quarter chicken with both white and dark meat. This had the smokiest, garlicky flavor that I will dream about. It came with lettuce wraps, carrot sticks and the most amazing Nam Jim Jeaw sauce which was unreal. Fish sauce and fresh herbs and scallions. How could you go wrong? Tangy, herbaceous, a little sweet and salty. Pro move suggested by Tarik: Make lettuce wraps with what you get and dip it in the sauce. My wife had the Gaeng Massaman Gai. Hands down some of the best Massaman curry I have ever had anywhere. It was more brothy (is that a word?) than I've had, but a lot of times when you order this dish, the potatoes make it super thick. This was lighter with fresh potatoes and pearl onions that were sweet from the sauce, almost like grapes oddly enough. Really loved the textures of this dish. We had purple Jasmine rice which was excellent. The only slightly disappointing dish we had was our dumpling appetizer. Not a lot of flavor there and I would have loved a little heat in the sauce or the dumplings. Really not bad but I would have skipped that. The restaurant had a very nice vibe. The lighting was perfect for pics and ambience. Looked like it had a well stocked bar and many selections from wine to beer and cocktails. I absolutely loved this place and our experience and service was 10 stars! Will definitely ask for Tarik each time and we will be back. Run to this restaurant!

I really don't know what happened here …read more.. Against our better judgement, a friend and I chose this place as a back-up option since our first choice was closing for lunch orders. Admittedly, I was skeptical when I saw the limited menu and some of the options (I LOVE Thai food and have had variations in many parts of the world). BUT I was encouraged to know there were at least two vegan entree options on the menu. No. Never again. Not at all. The spring rolls were the most minuscule versions I've ever had. The casing was weird, to say the least, and the flavor was barely there. We ordered a broccoli entree to share. Check out the photos for yourself. WHERE IS THE BROCCOLI?!? My friend's meal was BLAND. My meal was better but the peppers were almost raw. The BEST thing we had was the roti. ROTI. At a Thai restaurant. The absolute best thing on the menu was roti?! No meatless curry options with ample veggies. Not one rice dish, served with veggies. Lots of chicken ‍. Lots of fish oil ‍. Roti was the best thing we ate. And don't even bother with the purple rice. Absolutely disappointed. The server was kind although our 2nd order of roti went to the wrong table - they gladly accepted it with no questions asked - because she was conducting what looked like an interview in between checking on our table. If you've read my reviews you know anything less than 4-5 stars is RARE. I honestly don't understand what happened during my experience at this restaurant but definitely will not be returning.

First, the staff is absolutely amazing. We called ahead to see if they could accommodate a table for 10 and they were happy to oblige. We got there and they had a table ready to go and sat us right away. The waitress was so sweet and really took the time to answer questions and crack jokes with us. Truly made us feel at home in their restaurant. The food was chef kiss! We ordered the shrimp tom kha to start and spicy catfish as the main course. Both were delicious and the spice level was just right. The spicy powder and sauce on the table added a little extra for those of us that tend to like a tad more heat. Other orders at the table: drunken noodles, green curry, red snapper, duck, fried rice, and spring rolls. Everything was so good we barely had any left overs at the end of the meal. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area. So glad we got the opportunity to dine with them!

What a pleasant surprise this locally owned Thai restaurant turned out to be…read more Erawan Thai in Cumming has quickly become our favorite Thai spot in the area. We met the owner during our visit, and she is incredibly kind and clearly passionate about her food. She personally oversees many of the dishes, and it shows in the quality. Up front, Landon handled our service, and he was excellent... friendly, attentive, and welcoming. He deserves a shoutout for the great service. We ordered gyoza and dumplings to start, and both were very good. The dipping sauce they serve is not the typical soy sauce mix you find at most places; it has a sweeter profile and paired perfectly. I also ordered the chicken Tom Kha soup (it's a coconut base broth) and it was outstanding!!! Earthy, full of chicken and mushrooms, and very flavorful. For entrées, my wife ordered their red curry with veggies and it was so good! Plenty on potats that combined well with the rest of the curry meall and rice, and I tried the drunken noodles. The noodles were cooked perfectly... not mushy, not overdone, but with a great texture and "snap." The portion size was generous enough that I actually had leftovers, which is rare for me. Desserts were another highlight. The mango sticky rice was excellent, very soft and well-balanced. The coconut cake was also fantastic, with a cream-cheese-style icing and a very moist interior. There are several Thai restaurants in this area, but we truly believe this one stands out above the rest. Great food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming ownership. One important note: Google Maps randomly dropped us off you at the wrong location. The correct spot is in the same shopping center as Papa John's off Peachtree Parkway (address shows 1595 Peachtree Parkway). Highly recommended for anyone in or near Cumming. It was very quiet with one other couple in the restaurant. We ordered the summer rolls with shrimp ($5.99), house Thai fried rice with shrimp ($15.99), and pad se ew with chicken ($13.99). We were told it would be about a 15-20 minute wait. There were plenty of open tables so we grabbed a seat by the door and waited. Our food was ready about 15-20 minutes later. We weren't asked about any sauces and the hostess left as soon as she gave us our food. The food was hot and fresh when we arrived back at our hotel. Fortunately, there were napkins and silverware at the bottom of the bag, but no chopsticks or spicy sauce. The summer rolls were unique to me, mostly lettuce and maybe one or two shrimp cut in half and served with a sauce with little flavor. The pad se ew was okay - plenty of chicken in the dish and some veggies too. Had a very mild taste. The house-fried rice had a very smokey flavor to it but lacked the authentic Thai spices we are used to. Tasted like plain fried rice from a Chinese restaurant. All in all, it filled our bellies but I probably won't go back.
