Ordered for work one day and the pad Thai was one of the best I've had! Will definitely order from there again.

I'm teetering between 3 and 4. My partner's meal was deemed salty (crispy pad Thai), while I thought mine was solid (rama). Big portions, clean environment, plenty of delivery and carry out happening and reasonable price. Service could have been a tad friendlier, but I'll chalk it up to the bulk of business happening as delivery and not being able to shift gears into serving. read more

We just left, the sampler was yummy. The crab Rangoon was like none I've ever had. But the pad Thai had this weird smell and sweet taste that threw me off sooo bad that I couldn't eat it. The server came and immediately removed it and brought the check without even asking what the issue was which made me wonder how many times that's happened. read more

My favorite local place to order Thai takeout from. Don't think they're offering dine-in right now d/t the pandemic. I always get the pad thai w/ chicken and the crab rangoon, and it doesn't disappoint. Trying to find a place to park the car to pick up my order is a pain though, as it's near the intersection of North and Western, which can get crazy. If parking weren't an issue I'd definitely frequent this place a lot more often. read more

This is a 3.5 stars bumped up to a 4 because you can't give half stars. We ordered take out during the pandamic. They were well set up for this. We ordered and got an estimate of when our order would be ready for pick up. Pick up was easy peasy. It was already set up and ready to go sitting on the table. So I just found my order, grabbed it and headed back to the car. But then it makes me think...what if someone just walked in and grabbed an order that wasn't there? Either way, it worked out for me. Some signage that you should just pick up your order would've been appreciated...I wasn't sure of the process and just assumed, toss out a thank you which they returned and then left. The portion size. It would last you 2 meals if you're not super hungry and 1 meal if you're super hungry. The food: Shrimp pad thai - the flavor execution was there and tasted just awesome, but the noodles were all broken, yet not exactly mushy Chicken egg roll (2 in one order) - delicious, didn't fall apart, stayed crispy TLDR: definitely worth checking out for some tasty thai food, good for take out, will to check out other dishes read more

Their food is excellent. Five stars for that. Portion size is also very good. Staff is friendly but terribly overworked. The same person handles all tables as well as a bustling takeout business. The phone constantly rings, and the online orders' alert is nearly continuous. So of course service suffers. I felt bad for him, but also our table service suffered. Not his fault but still affected our experience considerably. Still highly recommended. read more

Delicious food and the staff is very nice. I would recommend this as a place for a casual encounter with friends for a local meal

10/10. Cheaper to order direct vs the apps for delivery. It is always worth it, and service is always top Notch read more

Not the best, not the worst! Thai food for people in a pinch. We ordered delivery. The Crab Rangoon, Woonsen, and Pad Thai were all okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. I've had better; I've had worse. It's very middle of the road for me here. Only strange thing was for the delivery boxes, Thai Lagoon used Applebee's containers. A little weird. read more

This place offered delivery and pick up. The pick up was seamless and very safe. I got the Pad Thai with tofu and it was great. There was just enough sauce where it didn't feel like my noodles were swimming in a lagoon. The portion was also great for the price! My friend got the green curry and was also super satisfied. The decor also looked very cute. Would definitely come back! read more

Used to be a go-to for solid Thai. Quality has gone downhill dramatically. And when a Thai restaurant can't handle Pad Thai, it's over. The last time, the Pad Thai had some overdone egg pieces. This time, I got the Udon Pad Thai, and first, it was like soup, so much that the oil had spilled out the sealed lid and had one giant overdone egg (pictured), which makes the whole dish taste overdone. When I called the restaurant, the lady was like "Oh, I'll talk to the manager. Bye." *click* I had to call back to find out that meant they're comping that dish. No replacement. No real apology. Especially right now, restaurants should be making an effort. Apparently Thai Lagoon has given up. read more

Just left Thai Lagoon. The food was good, the service was HORRIBLE! The ladies inside were screaming at the Spanish cook to just cook, shut up and do his job, after he told them we needed a refill! These lady were Crazy right! Super rude service! read more

Ordered delivery pad Thai, Namsod salad and sate. Food was very good. Will try dining at restaurant next time!

Ordered delivery and it arrived fast and hot, so that is always a plus. It was packed well and came with chili sauce, also a plus. Pad se ew and green curry were great. Curry had an underlying kick and plenty of veggies. Unfortunately, something is very wrong with the pad Thai. We rarely even order pad Thai but it sounded good tonight. I'm not sure what they're up to with it? It almost tastes like it's just doused in bbq sauce???? Seems like they're trying to play a trick on people ordering a "safe" noodle dish. It's completely inedible. Also, base prices do not include a protein at all. So what you think is $12.50 ends up being $14.50 without any upgrades. Won't get dinner from here again. The good doesn't outweigh the bizarre. read more

I'd like to start off by saying I'm no food snob critic and am just a dude that enjoys a good meal. I've lived in the area for about 3 years now and have tried a decent amount of the restaurants in the surrounding area. Thai Lagoon has always been great in my humble opinion me. The food is good, sure it's not some spectacular, lavish, Michelin star restaurant but the portions are just the right size, the food tastes great (big fan of the Panang curry) the people are kind and quiet which gives the space a good vibe if you're dining alone or with a friend or two. The cost isn't outrageous like most places are becoming. When I eat out this place always comes to mind, and if I'm home on a rainy day and want to pick something up quickly so I can get back to binging whatever show I'm watching, this is the place! Never waited longer than 20 minutes from the minute I place an order to the time I pick it up. That's a 5 star in my book. read more

I love this place. My friend ordered in for a gathering and everything was amazing! The chicken wings, the noodles, the rice... you name it! The awesomeness was... Well seasoned Excellent texture Extremely fresh With quick and appreciative delivery, it's all you can ask for! :) I would definitely give this place some business, but since I'm not in their delivery area, I will be driving to pick it up and becoming a regular customer. I appreciate the freshness most of all. They are definitely busy enough that they don't need to sell old food. read more

Ordered from here many times. Quick and pretty good for price. Servings are pretty big -- there are usually leftovers. Crab Rangoon: pretty standard but good Pad See Ew: household favorite. Sauce is tasty Pad Thai: I always get it with chicken. Slightly sweeter than pad thais from other places. Panang Curry: this will leave you full and satisfied. Tom Kha Soup: not as flavorful as I was expecting. More citrus-y taste to it Yellow Curry: love ordering this dish. Sauce and veggies are good. read more

Food was extremely salty, noodle dish was-pure salt, Tom kah soup-salty! The only saving grace was the Crab Rangoon which ended up being the main dish read more

I dined in here while waiting to attend a concert in the neighborhood. The pad thai was not memorable, but the crab rangoon was the best I've ever had, best in the city of Chicago. For that alone, I will be re-visiting/ re-ordering. The wontons were large, crisp, hot, and fried to perfection. The filling will savory, sweet, and had some mild chunks in it. Overall, I just felt that they were perfect. read more

I LOVE THAI LAGOON!!! I've had almost every Thai restaurant on the westside and all of them fall short of Thai Lagoon. They give so much meat and such big portions. I love them. The only problem I ever have is that their takeout ordering line is too busy or they turn off uber eats once in a while because I'm sure they're too busy. Love love love them. I recommend the Pad sie ewe and Panang Curry. read more

Good Thai. I'm going to use a Zen approach to this review...er, what is the Yin-Yang...? Is that Taoist? Whatever, close enough. I'm probably not sophisticated enough (or perhaps it is my pallet that lacks sophistication), but from what I've read from Yelp none of you ass-hats are any more 'sophisticated' than I am. Long-and-short, this is very good Thai food, and their curries are great! Is it the best Thai food, the most surreal experience and will remind you of being in Thailand. Well, I've never been to Thailand, so I'm in no position to comment. I would venture to say that it will not make you feel like you're in Thailand. But you can be in Chicago and eat good Thai food. Like I said...yin-yang. My mom went to SE Asia 4-5 years ago...her traveling companion had severe, explosive 'lower gastro-intestinal issues' for a couple days. So maybe Thai Lagoon is a few steps ahead of 'authentic' Thai food as it won't turn your rear end into a volcano. You want Thai food? Great! They'll give you Thai food! You want a life changing experience? I would recommend Alinea (and why is this straw-man pretentious foodie I've made-up in my head on Yelp?!!?!?!). I would imagine you're on Yelp because you want solid Thai food in a pinch. Good...get Thai Lagoon... What was I saying? Oh yes, solid Thai food. Added bonus: exceptional re-heat/leftover potential! Good place! read more

God Awful! Don't order Thai food from here for delivery. I ordered Thai Basil fried Rice, Shrimp Drunken noodles and Thai spring rolls. I am not order food here again. Let's start with the review. The Thai Basil Fried rice - was not cooked or prepared properly because the "RICE" was not cooked well.. If you messed up on the rice then the entire dish is messed up. The Thai Spring rolls were the traditional and not the fried ones.. i figured all the places are similar with "Thai Spring Rolls" as Fried egg Rolls The Drunken noodles with shrimp was overcooked. The noodles were not prepared properly. The driver got lost and its only a 1mile away from the house.. This was not the Thai Food experience I was looking for. Will find another Thai restaurant. read more

We came here when in town and the lunch special was great value for money. Pad Thai, miso soup, and egg rolls for under $10 was the best!

I think it's pretty good. The crab rangoons are very good. It's better in person than for delivery. Comfortable seating, not just a delivery place. Pad Thai is respectable, I want to try the currys next time. Everything looks good. read more

Must try their lunch special pad Thai I like with tofu . My sister gets fried rice with chicken .both are pretty good

I used to give this place the benefit of the doubt when they made mistakes (missing an ingredient listed in the entree, forgetting items, bad quality of something we know they have done well with in the past)...but I think I'm done with that after I got my curry that looks like a soup. 3 stars... Edit: I'm 95% sure they sent me Tom Kha soup and added like 8 spinach leaves and beef read more

I am leaving this review to express my gratitude and satisfaction with this restaurant. I ordered a delivery yesterday, which was absolutely perfect. I ordered Pork Green Curry, Chicken Gyosa and Thai Iced Tea. First of all, the delivery was on time and very professional (considering our pandemic situation). Later, when I opened my package, everything was packed individually. Not a single thing out of place. Very impressive! :) Food! Absolutely without question the best Thai I had in a long long time. I love Thai food, and I'm always ordering from diferente places because I always feel let down by the food I get. Not anymore! Surely, I'll be ordering from this place constantly. The Green Curry tasted fabulously fresh! And the Gyosas was flavorsome and well done. Everything was hot, except my iced tea, that one was iced cold. ;) Just like everything should be! I'm looking forward to try more items. Thank you guys for such a delicious meal! Yum-Yum!!! Definitely a Wicker Park gem. read more
