The first time I came here I was instantly struck by cupid's arrow on the red curry! Also the pad see eww was really good too. I have been having cravings for their curry ever since. Bummed. The spring roll was good, not great. The peanut sauce, like it came out of a jar. The Pad Thai, is supposed to be made with tamarind paste, fish and oyster sauce and GARLIC as the central ingredients. Lime and palm sugar round out the flavors. This was god awful. Tasted like tomato sauce. Literally could have been bad spaghetti with bits of bland chicken breast instead of meat sauce. No seasoning at all on the chicken either. GROSS. hI asked for medium heat, but there was zero. Also zero cilantro or green onions in it. I actually tried to add some soy sauce to try to make it edible. (No salt either.) Alas it was a total fail. Not even fido would eat the chicken... I guess I have to make my own...Still haven't found a good Thai place near Poway. Spices Thai Cafe in Escondido and Siam Nara in Mira Mesa are my go to places in that order. Otherwise I have to go all the way to San Diego? Nice little Thai place I found near my hair salon after a hair cut. Place was clean, had great customer service and the food was fresh and no frill Thai food. I like the fact that their salad and appetizer was sized perfectly in their little appetizer plate. They offer daily lunch special, which was reasonable. I opted in trying their pad Thai chicken lunch special and was pretty good. Only needed a dash of lime and there you go it came together with scallion, fresh bean sprouts and crushed peanuts. You can let them know how spicy or not spicy at all in terms of spice level. This is located in a small strip mall in Poway so parking can be a challenge but I was able to find parking at the time. Excellent Thai restaurant! We ordered for delivery so I cannot speak to the restaurant location itself, however the food was excellent! I ordered the massaman curry (mild spiciness) and my husband ordered the panang curry (medium spiciness, so I could try it also) and both were excellent. I found the medium spice level to have quite a kick but still enjoyable. I also appreciated that accommodated my request for no potatoes in the massaman curry. Both curries had a good amount of meat and the portion size was fairly large, so it was a very filling meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant for good quality Thai food! read more

Love this place! Delicious flavors. Let's start there. The Pad See Ew shrimp was totally boss. I mean the shrimp were done perfectly. I was shocked. The flavor of the Pad themselves was really delicious, almost slightly smokey and very aromatic. The Tom Yum Gai was noteworthy because it was NOT the exact same recipe you find for TYG in every other Thai place. This one actually has a unique flavor profile. I got the Tom Yum "Thai Spicy," but would actually call that a medium spicy to my taste. I got the Pad "spicy" and found it to be mild. So generally I wouldn't be afraid to add heat here since they tend to go pretty light. They are afraid we can't take the heat, I see how it is... ; ) Special shout-out for amazing service here. After driving by this place so many times I decided to give it a try. When I walked in and saw that the place was empty that should've been a sign of what I was about to experience. Ordering was easy I got the fresh Spring rolls it came with peanut sauce and then I ordered the popular pad thai, all this was ordered to go. The fresh spring rolls were fresh and the peanut sauce was nice which is why I gave them 1 star. The other dish which should be something they know how to make very very well was absolutely disgusting everything was mushy I got the vegetarian version and the vegetables had no crunch to them the noodles looked like they had been cut with scissors and they were cooked so much that they were falling apart so no noodle was more than an inch or 2 in length. It was more like a soup because the entire dish sat in 2 inches of sweet and sour sauce which made everything taste worse on top of the texture the flavor profile was meager and pathetic. I've been looking for a new place to try and after reading all of the reviews I knew I had to try it. 1st thing I noticed it's that it's pretty small inside , I would imagine during lunch and dinner it can get pretty packed in here . I planned on going with the pad Thai lunch special but the waitress said I could get more for just a dollar more. I'm glad I did because even the regular size serving seemed a bit on the smaller side . It was pretty good but lacked some flavor , wasn't horrible but def not the best Thai I've had . I did other the cheese cream wontons and they were so amazing , wish I would have ordered more of those haha. The soda comes in a can and it's expensive so beware of that , no refills . Came here for impromptu dinner between appointments. I had Tom yum soup with shrimp. Very spicy (that's how I ordered it), with a ton of mushrooms, slightly on the tomatoey side which was different and good. I randomly chose this spot because of the good reviews and placed my order for pick up straight from the Yelp app. My usual Thai dish is pad see ew and I almost always order it whenever I try a new Thai spot for easy comparison. While the flavor was good, the noodles and chicken both seemed slightly overcooked. Not to the point of making the dish bad but it didn't feel like it reached its full potential. Still hungry after eating. Actually, had a second dinner later on bc I was stil One thing to highlight... simple menu and nothing too crazy. Staff was nice and place is clean.
