I've been here twice now, once I ordered online and I dined in recently. It's a little quiet around 1 pm which I like because I don't have to fight for a place to sit or wait too long. Both times, I've ordered the lunch chicken pad see ew noodles and it's always filling and so good! You get the option of choosing an egg roll or wontons and the wontons are soo yummy! The staff is always super polite and courteous. Not a bad experience yet!

    Special Curry

I had the opportunity to try this new special curry, i was recommended by the team there. It was not on the menu yet, i dont have a name for it, but i was told it would be soon. The flavor is really y different from all other curry i had at other places. It was super delicious, if you love curry you would love it. I highly recommend if u get the opportunity to try it, there is two way of enjoying it. First would be enjoying just the way it comes and once you had enough of the way it comes. You mix the curry and rice together it will give you a different flavor.

    Kids pad thai and Eggrolls

Im so glad i tried this spot out. Ive been having an increasingly small appetite so ive been ordering kids meals. They have a great variety of kids meals here so I opted for the pad thai with tofu. Also upon checking in, i got a free thai tea which was the cherry on top! The kids pad thai was the perfect size for me and I also ordered a side of egg rolls. Both items came out piping hot and delicious. The egg rolls were crunchy and the plum sauce was amazing. The pad thai was really good too but was missing some important components of a pad thai such as peanuts, bean sprouts and lime. But I will ask for lime next time. The whole meal cost me about $15 which wasnt horrible. Overall, the food was great so im definitely coming back!

Legitimate Thai food should be fresh and full of flavor. Had a craving and thought to give them a chance. That choice resulted is a limited menu with seriously bland food. I appreciate it was cooked fresh, but when you order a medium spice for one dish and the other is mild, they were both plain. My husband had the chicken curry. I ordered the fried rice. We both needed to chili sauce to make it taste so-so. Have to give the credit for a clean place with friendly staff. This place is good for anyone who to eat. Authentic Thai? Not here.

    Shrimp with glass noodles

A delicious spot to get Thai food in 4S Ranch. Stopping in here on the way home to pick up some dinner was a great plan. I also want to note that even though they have no indoor seating there is plenty of outdoor seating. I ordered shrimp with glass noodles. They had quite a line of people waiting and a lot of to go orders. The staff inside had it all under control. I waited about 10 minutes for my food. It came out in a sealed paper bag with my receipt stapled on the bag. When I got home and opened the bag I pulled out my environmental friendly container and my food was still warm! Everything was delicious there were a lot of shrimp which is unusual these days. Lately, you only see about 4 shrimp. I kept finding shrimp and more the next day when I ate the rest. I will definitely be back to try their curry.

Visited Gor Gai today after not having had been here a while. Did a take out as they're open during COVID for to-go orders. Portions were great and price was awesome too! Dishes were well flavored! I cannot say enough good things about this place. We had a slight mixup with the restaurant giving us a seafood dish, when we're primarily a chicken/veggie kind of household. I left a voicemail for the restaurant, and they called back the next morning informing us that they would credit us an entree amount to the phone number we used to order with. Overall, satisfied with the food and the customer service!

One of my favorite things about this place is how easy it is. You order on the kiosk, grab a seat, and your food usually comes out within like 10-15 minutes. The inside has a lot of seating and even games like Jenga which makes it feel like a fun spot to hang out for lunch. I didn't interact much with service since I used the kiosk, but the worker upfront was really friendly and even brought my takeout to my table. This time I tried the Dynamite Crawfish Bowl and the Dynamite Fries. The bowl comes with crawfish, rice, dynamite sauce, eel sauce, seaweed, sesame seeds, and pickled radish on top. The fries normally come with sweet potato fries but I swapped mine for regular fries because I just wasn't feeling sweet potato that day. The fries were honestly kind of underwhelming. It was basically fries with dynamite sauce and only a few pieces of garlic confit, which was the part I was most excited for. They weren't bad, just really underwhelming. I honestly think the sweet potato fries probably would've worked better with the flavors. The crawfish bowl though was really good. The crawfish had this slight smoky flavor to it like it was lightly torched and they give you a lot in each bite. The rice was fluffy and cooked perfectly and the pickled radish on top helped cut through all the richness from the sauces. Everything worked really well together flavor wise. My only complaint is that halfway through the bowl the flavors started blending together a little too much and it gets boring, but overall it was still super satisfying and filling. Definitely still one of my favorite quick lunch spots in Carmel Mountain and somewhere I'd bring friends because the menu has so many good options. Their dessert menu also sounds insane so I already know I'll be back.

I don't really like the sausage since it was too salty in my opinion, but this tteok is actually kinda insane since it is just crispy enough on the outside and qq on the inside. The caramelized spicy/sweet sauce pairs quite well with the rice cake. This was maybe $5. Wings and Drums - 5/5 - I got the Yangnyeom and Spicy wings. I like how their wing/s drum's quality is consistent and they have this crispy skin and spicy sweet sauce with different level of spice (I think koreans like to add sweetness to most of their foods). I think Boncho is probably my top 3 fav kfc (korean fried chicken) spot. Overall Thoughts: Best Thing I ate: Everything here is pretty solid but the big drums is textually my favorite. Something to Improve: Make the sausage less salty there is plenty of flavor from the sauce alone but keep up the quality!

We ordered the Kimchi & Bacon Fried Rice, a Poke Salmon Bento Box, a Philadelphia Roll, and a Dragon Roll. The fried rice was fantastic, but the kimchi was easily my favorite part. It brought just the right amount of tang and spice that made every bite better. Now for my personal breakthrough... Growing up, I was never much of a seafood person. My partner has been slowly introducing me to sushi, and this dinner felt like another milestone. The Philadelphia Roll confirmed that I'm definitely a salmon fan, and the Dragon Roll introduced me to eel... which turns out I also really like. It's always fun when a meal changes your mind about something you've avoided for years. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and another huge bonus was simply finding a great restaurant in Poway that stays open later than most places. Sometimes that's exactly what you need after a long day. We definitely ordered more food than we could finish, but that's just another excuse to come back. Looking forward to trying even more of the menu next time.

But this visit I accidentally stumbled onto something that deserves its own review. I ordered a Soda Chanh Muối and a Cucumber Cooler. Halfway through the meal I decided to pour them both into one larger cup just to see what would happen. Y'all... I may have accidentally created my favorite drink on the menu. The salty citrus from the Soda Chanh Muối mixed with the cool minty cucumber flavor from the Cooler was ridiculously refreshing. It tasted like a perfectly balanced salty lemonade with a crisp cucumber finish. I honestly sat there wondering why this wasn't already on the menu. If you're eating here, do yourself a favor and order both drinks. Mix them together. Trust me on this one. The Bún Bò Nướng is still amazing as always, but I might have discovered my new favorite drink combination. 10/10 highly recommend

I've been here several times in the past; however, it's been quite some time since my last visit…read more Unfortunately, I don't see myself going again. I don't know if they've changed owners or what but it's nothing like I remember. Arrived about 5pm on a Thursday and there were a couple tables full, but thought there'd of been more. As the evening went on it certainly filled up so maybe we're an early dinner. Service was good, not great. No we're not ready to order 10 seconds after we sit down, and yes we're ready to order after 10-15 minutes. Helpful when you ask (like asking for the check 3 times), but not real engaging. Odd they have the robots to deliver food, but a server has to follow and put the food on your table (not a big deal, but kind of a waste of time/effort). Let me start by saying I eat Vietnamese food, but am no expert so take my comments with that in mind! We ordered the 'Classic Spring Rolls' and while it was listed, I was surprised by the pork and not sure I'd get those again. One thing that was a bit off putting for me was that the cup with peanut sauce has vermicelli and other things in the the bottom; I'm assuming to fill the cup, so they put in less peanut sauce. What hit was they just take the cups back from the last table, add some sauce, and whatever fell out stayed in the cup. I'm sure that's not it, but that's all I could think of. My wife ordered the VN1 (Hue Spicy Noodle Soup - Bun Bo Hue) and she commented it was anything but spicy and the meats had a texture that wasn't real appealing. I ordered the FR4 (Pan-Fried Rice Noodle Hu Tieu Ap Chao) with beef. The vegetables were cooked perfectly but the meat was a bit spongy, though flavorful. I mostly ate the fried noodles with the egg on top, the vegetables, but left most of the meat. Oh, and finally, it wasn't the most pleasant experience listening to a gentleman and his young child FaceTime with grandma on speaker phone a couple booths over for the majority of our meal. All in all for $60 (w/tip) it just wasn't our cup of tea and so sad from what I remember from several (many?) years ago.
