I started my dinner with the steamed 'Chive Dumplings'. They were quite wonderful. For my entree I had 'Pad Khing', ginger stir fry, with the chicken. I upgraded my rice to the sticky rice. The ginger gave the dish a fresh punch, with the slightly cooked fresh mushrooms. At the suggestion of a fellow patron, I ate all the chicken, mushrooms, onions, peppers and ginger first, then take spoonfuls of the sticky rice and dipped into the fresh broth. It was so delightful. All I can use to describe the dish is fresh. The restaraunt was very clean, the staff was prompt, very courteous. My waitress had a quite thick accent, when I informed her I was hard of hearing, she slowed her speech pattern and when her answer to a question was obviously puzzling me through my lip reading, she tore a page ff her pad and wrote for me. Lot of us sat with empty glasses while eating until long after we finished. When food came out, all the pho bowls were luke warm. Considering how long it took it should have been hot. Only one plate of pho fixings were brought and we had to ask for more for the others. Once we tried the pho it was just barely average tasting. Better than waldorf location but still not great. The curry really surprised me. The curry sauce was poured on top and not mixed so it didn't look like much. After mixing it it seemed adequate but I would have liked a little more especially since the curry tasted good. There was a good amount of meat as well. The chicken salad was OK, but the chicken was burnt on the edges and was dry. Definitely disappointing in this. Couldn't return it since waiter disappeared til everyone was long done. Over all an extremely disappointing experience. Will suck it up amd make the drive to VA next time, even if it means waiting til next day.
