I asked for a kids meal since it was my first time there and didn't want to spend a lot of money. When I asked for a kids meal the guy behind the counter looked confused or plain just didn't want me as an adult ordering a kids meal. I should have took that as a hint the whole experience wouldn't be great. He then denied me a pita chip that came with the meal because "you ordered an extra topping" and charged me 2 dollars for a pack of hard pita chips. The rest of the meal was very average and not worth the bad customer service. Ordering a few chopped up tomatoes shouldn't get me charged 2 dollars. read more

When they first opened, the portions were generous and the food was delicious. However, I've noticed a significant decline in the quantity of their meat over the past few months. The most disappointing thing is that they have become incredibly stingy with the meat. They used to give you a generous amount of shawarma, but now they only give you a handful of pieces. They obviously fill up the bowl with rice and sides to make up for the lack of meat. I've also noticed that the portions have gotten smaller overall. The bowls used to be overflowing with food, but now they're barely filled to the top. I am disappointed that Mezeh has gone downhill. I used to love their food, but now I can't justify paying for such a small amount of meat. I would only recommend Mezeh if you're looking for a heavy rice meal with light meat. Otherwise, there are much better restaurants in the area that give you more bang for your buck. read more

Simplistic menu (choose a meal type ($7.50-9.75) base, protein, toppings) and highly customizable according to diet (vegan, vegetarian, etc). Your meal is prepared in front of you assembly style. This feels like a middle eastern version of chipotle. Flavor are authentic for the most part. Service is good for what the type of restaurant. Ambience... did I mention middle eastern chipotle? It is fast flavorful change of pace for the area. The only thing I personally dislike is the sorry excuse for bread. The food from this chain is always good! This particular location is definitely not the best location!! Each time I went, the workers are very, very stingy with the food! They give all the greens you want but when it comes to everything else, it's literally a half scoop!! Excited that Mezeh has finally opened in St Mary's county! Staff was very friendly and ordering is relatively straight forward. I love having the options available on the side. The app won't let you order from here yet (7-31-2020) but I'm sure it will soon. We got a family meal deal, which we noticed on an email after signing up for the app. It was $40 and was a huge amount of food. I could have gone FIVE stars as everything was excellent. Not sure how it has 4.5 stars, it's honestly not that great. We ordered 4 different meals all straight from the menu, no extras and no exceptions, it wasn't great. We tried this place for the first time yesterday. We came for lunch and ordered the Shawarma Heat bowl and the Very Veggie bowl. The employees were very friendly and helpful while ordering and creating the bowls. The bowls were huge, so much food and so filling. We loved all the fresh ingredients. It was perfect! I love Mediterranean food so I just had to try this restaurant. My first impression was it was very spacious clean and they were following all Covid protocol. The staff was very helpful with placing my order and the line moved very quickly. If you like Subways, Chipotle or Pieology, you will like this place. You get to select your toppings as you move through the line. From your choice of starch, veggies, protein, sauce, garnishes. Tasty and great value. Came in for the first time and Elmer and Hector helped me out. Hector gave great recommendations and was super friendly and patient. I got half falafel, half vegetable kefta and I liked the kefta better. Falafel is not the best, and the pita would've been better warm. Ordered two dinners from Mezeh via Doordash. Received only one of them. When I called Mezeh, they refused to help me; told me I had to communicate with Doordash. They were extremely rude about it. In the end, my wife and I split the one dinner we received, after paying for two dinners. For what it's worth, this is not the fault of Doordash - they only deliver what they are given by the restaurant. If they had been nice about it, apologized for the inconvenience, tried to at least help us get our 2nd dinner, I would have been satisfied. Instead I am livid. Will not do business again. read more
