Just like most the reviews say this restaurant was our absolute favorite place to eat in the Provo/Orem area. It pains me to say it but the other night after eating there I was violently throwing up within 2 hours of coming home. It destroyed my stomach for an entire week after that and every time we drive by now my stomach churns. This is the second time we have visited Thai Hut in 2 weeks. The first time I ordered panang curry with shrimp and really enjoyed the delicious flavor and would definitely order it again. Tonight we had pork pot stickers, fresh rolls and Khao Soi noodle curry dish. It also has a delicious taste and interesting crunch with fried wonton strips and chicken. The wait staff was courteous and helpful, we took her advice to order Khao Soi and glad we did. The owner, Sang, came to visit and was very kind and thoughtful. We also tried the mango rice dessert. Oh my goodness it was the best thing I have ever tasted! We will be back as this is our new favorite place. Our friends ordered pineapple curry and Sweet and sour chicken. Worst Thai food I've ever had. Took 3 bites and couldn't eat any more. the pad Thai tasted like spegettios. And the cashew chicken was just not on point. This honestly was not Thai food. I have never left a meal uneaten this was a first for me. I am about 90% positive they had chef Boyardee in the back cooking the food. Very disappointed with my experience. Best Thai in Utah Valley for sure. We love Thai and have been to several places and Thai Hut is not only very clean with a modern atmosphere, but service is great and very friendly. The food is very authentic, thoughtfully prepared, and has a finesse that other places frankly miss. Yum! Wonderful service! Wonderful food! We got the mango curry and the kao soi(a northern Thai curry noodle soup). The kao soi wasn't super authentic and mango curry isn't an actual Thai staple but both were delicious and rich and had lovely spice blends. Very nicely prepared food that the kitchen was more than happy adjust to our liking. The staff was pleasant and quiet helpful without being intrusive. Prices are reasonable and in my opinion low for the quality. And I must say that it was nice to sit in a restaurant and have a nice dining experience. Truly good Thai! Fantastic flavors. We got the chicken satay to start out, and the skewers had a deliciously crunchy texture on the outside, with a peanut flavor a bit unlike what I've had before. Definitely recommend. For main courses we got avocado curry and the lemongrass chicken. Awesome curry flavor - my wife and I were split on the avocado chunks; she liked it a lot, and I think I'd go for a meat next time, it was just a little too much warm avocado for me. Wife had some credits for Uber eats. Tried out the pad Thai for the first time and it was GREAT!!! Noodles were fresh and the seasoning and flavor were covered through all the noodles. I've had other Thai places and some places did not have enough flavoring covering the noodles soo I'd be eating plain rice noodles. THIS WAS NOT the case for here, it was FULL of flavor. This is as good as any Thai food in Provo. We ordered the food to be delivered, so we have not eaten at the restaurant and seen the renovations - but the photos look very clean and modern. We ordered Massaman and Pineapple Curries and some coconut shrimp. Both were delicious! The Massaman has a bit of a peanut-y taste to it, but it doesn't dominate the dish. The Pineapple was a bit sweeter and taste similar to yellow curry - with the addition of chunks of pineapple. We got spice levels is 1 & 2. Neither were very spicy, and that's coming from someone who do not like spice at all - I may even prefer the 2 spice level. The shrimp was good if you like coconut, which luckily I do. It is shrimp coated in coconut flakes with a dipping sauce. We look forward to eating Thai Hut again! read more
