Crying Tiger Surf & Turf

The steak was perfectly cooked, and tender. It's got a slight teriyaki typeglaze on it with the spicy lime dressing on the side. That dressing is amazing and I kind of wish they had brushed that on the steak when grilling it. Maybe I'll ask them to do that next time. The shrimp were perfectly grilled. Very tasty! This definitely worth the price. Probably the most delicious, tender, ribeye you will get in Santee for $23!

One of the best authentic tasting Thai places in the middle of nowhere. We ordered a whole bunch to share. They brought plates without us asking. Beer is cheap! Domestic and even imported. Try the singha, it's their national beer. Highly recommend the Tom yum soup, the papaya salad, the basil eggplant and the fried tilapia with 3 sauces. Everything was fresh and delicious!

Don't judge a book by its cover. Does need a little refresh outside and then however the food and service were fantastic and I only ordered appetizers. Cannot wait to go back for an entrée. This will definitely be one of my go to recently relocating to the area. I had the basil eggrolls, crab ragoons (as always, no matter where you go less Wonton more filling) and the chicken satay. The peanut sauce was the best I ever had. Will be back

Delicious food. The restaurant is not fancy but we were so impressed with the food. We shared the tom yum soup and the vegetable green curry. The Tom Yum soup was so outstanding I would go back just for that. The service was great and friendly. We had come in twenty minutes before they closed for the night but still they were so welcoming and didn't not rush us at all. We stopped in there while driving north and I hope to stop there again when we are driving back home.

These were absolutely delicious!

My personal preference for eating out is coming here. I have tried just about the entire menu and haven't found a dish I didn't like so far. The service folks, Nong and Rachel, are very keen on getting the food out ASAP, and the kitchen cooks up the best food in my opinion. I also like the seating that is available, and I love sitting at the little bar when these seats are available.

Larb mu (pork Thai salad).

Excellent food and very quick service. We really enjoyed our meal and found the entrees, specialties, and appetizers to all be very tasty and well presented. The restaurant is small but well appointed and made for a relaxed dining experience. They are typically closed between 3 and 4 so it took a couple of tries to get the timing right but it was well worth the effort. Shown is the Larb Mu (pork salad). It was fabulous.

Eggplant stir fry with tofu

This was an unexpected find while traveling. I arrived at 4:55pm and there was only one other car in the parking lot so I was apprehensive about dining there but so glad I tried it! By 5:15 the restaurant was packed and the service and food was delicious. I started with jasmine tea and fresh rolls with tofu-yum! Then had the eggplant stir fry that was a good portion and very tasty. The other diners were very friendly and it seemed to have as many travelers as locals. Highly recommend!

The food and service were great. The AC wasn't working correctly so it was just so hot. However, the food was fantastic.

Hello, we have been patronizing Clark's for nearly 8 years and compared to many establishments…read morewe've visited throughout our lifetime Clark's has a FEEL none can match. The food is exceptional and has surpassed any expectation regarding cuisine we've experienced in many different restaurants. Regarding staffing, no words can express the sincere professionalism, courtesy, kindness, friendliness, warmth that is received with each and every visit. Namely Danny (irreplaceable), Mark (irreplaceable), Donna (irreplaceable) Melvin (irreplaceable), "Field" (irreplaceable), Jamie (irreplaceable), Olivia (irreplaceable). If we have forgotten anyone, please forgive us but I am POSITIVE they too add a sense of class and elegance to this fine establishment. Our only concern and disappointment is the newly appointed manager by the name of "Lance" who by our personal observation does NOT relate well with the staff and communicates with them in a disrespectful and abrasive manner. He exhibits mannerisms more suitable for a fast-food establishment. In our opinion he is definitely NOT qualified as Clark's material. We considered never re-visiting Clark s restaurant until he was no longer on staff, however staff insisted we return and not let his temperament dampen our experience. For those who frequent Clark's, please continue to patronize this great establishment and enjoy the unique FEEL and AMBIANCE that makes Clark's the beautiful place that it is..... To the owners we wish you blessings and continued success!! And it was a honor and pleasure meeting both Mr. Mrs. Clark in person.

I had the other half the next day. o would recommend this place. The entire menu looked amazing . the service was very good . I called it in & it was ready in 10 minutes.

Captains Quarters is just across the street. Yelp showed great reviews and the menu was super appealing. Mix of seafood, steaks and just good home cooking. It opens at 5pm for dinner weekdays. We got there about 6 to a pretty large crowd already. Apparently the locals know . Gypsy was our amazing server. Sweet and super knowledgeable. She's this places best advertisement. She had great tips on the whole menu. She was spot on for the red sauce. Chicken parm was perfectly tender. Sauce was like Nonnas. Recommendation to do the shrimp blackened was perfect. Way too much food for sure but she did warn that we would not go home hungry!! Beer was cold. Wine recommended was perfect and did we mention Ms Ellie? Ms E is an amazing young lady who stood watch on the whole dining room. With a hawklike gaze she quickly recognized a table needing bussed or a chair needing straightened And didn't need a prompt. Her quick action ensured table turn times were super Low. Please recognize her hard work. She's making everyone money!!! We stopped by to show her our appreciation on our way out and she lit up . Two big meals. Beer and wine and I was embarrassed how small our bill was. What a great bargain and great find. We booked the same hotel for our April trip so we can come back here!! Justin was our server and he actually greeted us outside. We did not wait more than 2 minutes before someone greeted us at the host stand and actually apologized for making us wait! As we were walking to our table, we noticed the fireplace going and it had real wood! It was so cozy! Justin approached us not long after and offered us to order drinks. We ordered waters, wine, and beer. So the last time we dined at Cracker Barrel was almost 11 years ago because we became deathly ill. The last time, I do not believe they served alcohol so we were surprised seeing it on the menu. Our drinks were delivered quickly and Justin offered us to order dinner. Hubs ordered the Country Fried Turkey with mac and cheese and hashbrown casserole. I ordered the Country Vegetable Plate with green beans, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, and hashbrown casserole. Justin came back later and informed us there was only enough hashbrown casserole for one of us so he said I could order a side salad for no extra charge-sweet! Our food arrived not too long after and the salad was massive! Very fresh too! The Hashbrown casserole was good, everything else was okay but not magnificent. When we went to checkout, there were people taking way too long while their f'in kids were causing havoc in the store so we paid by using the QR code on the receipt. Our check was $45, which was pretty decent for 2 meals, 2 beers, and 1 wine. Oh but there were charges for getting apple butter and having a mix of biscuits and cornbread- was not aware of that when ordering. The bathroom was as clean as it could be but definitely needs to be upgraded. Best part of all, we did not get sick! We will be back if we are in the area again.

The place is spotless, modern, and has a really comfortable vibe. It is a bit pricey, and if it were just a little cheaper, I'd probably be in there every other day. The soups were quite tasty and the vegetables were all bright and appetizing. I'd go back again happily, but not as a group. If you have more than 4 people, consider an alternative location.
