Zero stars really. I hate to do this because I love to support black-owned businesses, but after what my family and I experienced today, I'm convinced they should close their doors. We came in from out of town for a funeral. We decided to go on a double date, hoping to enjoy some seafood based on the positive reviews and the fact that it was black-owned. How very wrong we were. It took over an hour just to get shrimp and grits and some fish sandwiches. By the time our orders finally arrived, we had all lost our appetites. The Catfish Bites were to include French fries and they were missing from my order. When I mentioned that the French Fries were missing. She apologize and told me it will be 15 minutes. At that point I am already late for clocking back in from lunch. I just was to pissed off the wait any longer. Very poor service. Very poor attitude. A small quiet shop with big plates. A serving of ox tails and rice was enough for two, I tried to push through and failed. The rice was delicious and the ox tails were a meal by themselves. The only drawback was that the flatware wasn't big enough to hold more and I didn't ask for some white bread. The whiting meal was just as good. The fish was fried well and flaky. This was true Gullah cuisine and not just a name to get you in. If your from the Low Country you know what I mean.
