Our group of 12 had a fantastic dining experience. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The salmon bites were the clear favorite appetizer. The Surf and Turf was the standout main course. We highly recommend this restaurant. Reservations are highly recommended due to its popularity.

Staying the night at Best Western in Sante SC 8/13/25 Front Desk person stated her favorite was Captains Quarters, She gave us a few menus to compare, I said we had a wonderful dinner there a couple years ago! So we knew it would be good ! tonight our waitperson was NANCY - if you need any questions regarding- spices, Salads etc ASK for Nancy ! I couldn't make up my mind between chicken Parmigiana or Broiled scallops.... Nancy said the scallops were fresh and superb! We wanted a salads Nancy Recommended the Pecan/bleu cheese .... SHE WAS SOOOOO RIGHT! Hubby had the prime rib ((( cooked to a perfect medium rare !!) ) I truly wish this restaurant was closer to home (( Florida )) It is so worth seeking out !!!

Could have been a little crispy around the edge and thicker cut! The service was awesome and the ambiance was point on. The reason for 3 star was the prime was good but lacked flavor.

Dining at Captain's Quarters is definitely a local hangout and seems to do a solid business. My server Lisa got me set up with a beer while I decided on dinner. I went for a cup or the clam chowder and the fried seafood platter. The chowder was OK, not very thick but a decent amount of clams. The seafood platter is huge with two slabs of haddock and a good amount of shrimp and oysters. The breading used is light and doesn't overpower the seafood. Overall the dish is good and well worth the cost. Overall good food and service.

Staying at the hotels across the street - came in with High intentions for a meal - wasn't disappointed at all - seared smoky sausage and tender chicken are dotted through fragrant, Creole-spiced tomato rice and tender vegetables. A must * Very good, toasted almonds on top of swain added a unique texture / almost crunch to the crab which came with dips- New England clam chowder It's a classic combination of clams, onions, celery, or salt and rice Very pleasing * My server LISA was amazing - listen carefully when she tells you the specials this is very important- Was my entire meal - thanks again

Atmosphere is about 40 years old, food is mediocre. The salad was similar to bagged and the bread was similar to Walmart.

I did not ask for bacon , they put a ton of bacon on it. I picked it off . I hope I wasn't charged for that. It was a $25 lunch. It was a big burger & lots of fries. I had the other half the next day. o would recommend this place. The entire menu looked amazing . the service was very good . I called it in & it was ready in 10 minutes.

I ordered the turkey which included stuffing two sides, salad or coleslaw and dessert. I even had leftovers . Here are the pros and cons would definitely go back. First, the coleslaw was fantastic. The turkey was with juicy, but could've used a little more seasoning, but overall very good. I chose the sweet potato casserole, which didn't have any marshmallows and the pineapple casserole which I had never heard of before instead of bringing the pineapple casserole. He brought me mashed potatoes instead, which were fantastic. He did bring the pineapple casserole which was just very strange. I chose the berry crisp for dessert which seem like it was just pie filling with a crumble on the top. After my meal came, I realized I did not get any rolls or bread when I asked they had cornbread . Was just curious to why I wasn't asked if I wanted a cornbread with my meal. I also noticed that the website menu was a little bit different than the one at the restaurant. The website indicated soup which was available, and there were a lot more sides indicated on the website.

We were just passing through Santee SC for an overnight and sought out the Prime Rib dinner at the Lake House. It definitely did not disappoint! All the wait staff were super friendly and helpful. They pride themselves on scratch cooking (as do I!). Be sure to save room for dessert and plan on not being able to finish it. I gotta say, the OMG Carrot Cake just might be the best carrot cake since I got married so many years ago. Each slice is 4 layers tall and so massive that it's served on a dinner plate.

RVers are a "captured audience" since onecan walk from his or her RV to the restaurant. This is quite convenient. As well, the restaurant is located in a scenic environment. These are the two big pluses. As stated earlier, offerings are not tasty. They are way overpriced for what is delivered. One in our party had Yaya's cut of steak for 35 bucks. Take a look at the picture below and ask yourself a question: would you pay 35 bucks for this? The taste was not there. The portion size was not commencement for the price. Salads are not delivered as salads, but rather a bed of greens slathered with so much dressing that one can barely taste the salad at all. This place is a huge disappointment and a waste of your dollars. Don't bother stopping by.

Justin was our server and he actually greeted us outside. We did not wait more than 2 minutes before someone greeted us at the host stand and actually apologized for making us wait! As we were walking to our table, we noticed the fireplace going and it had real wood! It was so cozy! Justin approached us not long after and offered us to order drinks. We ordered waters, wine, and beer. So the last time we dined at Cracker Barrel was almost 11 years ago because we became deathly ill. The last time, I do not believe they served alcohol so we were surprised seeing it on the menu. Our drinks were delivered quickly and Justin offered us to order dinner. Hubs ordered the Country Fried Turkey with mac and cheese and hashbrown casserole. I ordered the Country Vegetable Plate with green beans, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, and hashbrown casserole. Justin came back later and informed us there was only enough hashbrown casserole for one of us so he said I could order a side salad for no extra charge-sweet! Our food arrived not too long after and the salad was massive! Very fresh too! The Hashbrown casserole was good, everything else was okay but not magnificent. When we went to checkout, there were people taking way too long while their f'in kids were causing havoc in the store so we paid by using the QR code on the receipt. Our check was $45, which was pretty decent for 2 meals, 2 beers, and 1 wine. Oh but there were charges for getting apple butter and having a mix of biscuits and cornbread- was not aware of that when ordering. The bathroom was as clean as it could be but definitely needs to be upgraded. Best part of all, we did not get sick! We will be back if we are in the area again.
