Very disappointing. This is the worst Thai takeout I've ever gotten. $50 and threw away my entire order. read more

The food was really good! The server was very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area was quiet. We ordered the chicken called Volcano something. It was sweet and spicy. The papaya salad was good I wish it was more spicy though. The eggplants with chicken were also really tasty. read more

Came here after work and ordered the tom yum soup, pork larb, and a basil beef stir fry. They were all average in taste. I also ordered a pad see ew to go-- it was okay. I prefer it with chinese broccoli but it was still alright. I also asked for a fried egg on top which they did not deliver on. -Thai Tea was pretty good -The waitress was really nice and food came out pretty fast -Restaurant opened later than a lot of the other restaurants in town too, so that was good read more

Went for lunch today. Staff was friendly and attentive. Lunch portions were generous. We were able to split the food which was nice to be able to enjoy another dish. Food was delicious. We will definitely be back. read more

So we come here to this gem Often, but it's mostly takeout. Today we dined in for a friends birthday and it was 10/10 absolutely amazing. Customer service was on point and they were very tentative to everyone. We had a number 7 for appetizers, and pad see ew, and a #37 for dinner. Between 3 of us it was enough for left overs. They don't normally sing or anything for birthdays I don't think, but Miguel was so accommodating and sang with us to help our friend feel extra special. We're going to be coming back here always. Sadly I got a new phone and do not have the amazing photos :( read more

Favorite Thai restaurant in Modesto. Can't think of anything I'd rather be eating while I am enjoying their food. read more

This place is great! I always order to go. Love their food especially their pad Thai and fry rice. I have them make it spicy as I love spicy foods! The staff is really friendly and they are always happy to make some excellent recommendations if you are unsure what to order. Best Thai food in town! read more

We spontaneously went for dinner at the Thai House when our first choice restaurant didn't have availability. It was a gift to us that we didn't get in to the other place because the meal we got was fabulous! The restaurant was busy even though they were to close in an hour. It didn't stop good service and food that was brought out fast! We got the Tom Kai soup and requested it to be a little extra spicy. The soup was some of the best we've ever had! The spice was perfect! Throughout the meal, we could tell that this place is a local favorite because they were also busy with call-in, to-go orders that were being picked up. The lady who was running the front counter and helping with expediting was super nice! She must be exhausted but you wouldn't know because she still took the time to talk to people and recommend different dishes. read more

I wanted to like this place so bad! I was very very disappointed in customer service & quality of food! I recently located to Modesto, and this was down the street. Tonight I ordered the pad-se-ew and it was.... well, EW! There was sooo much OIL! My food was drenched (see pictures). Aside from that, my husband waited almost an hour for our food. Apparently they forgot about our order and tried to quickly make it. In the process burnt ALL my veggies! I will never return here! It was such a waste of money. I couldn't even eat it all because the overly oily situation was making my stomach hurt. RUN VEGANS, RUN! Don't be fooled by their knowledge of vegan food, it was horrible! read more

Walking In, they were pretty busy. Got seated quickly. Inside seem clean. Needs to be a little brighter inside. Food was amazing. Really taste like home cook meal. Only reason why it's not 5 star. One of the thinner sister kept talking to one table for over 10 mins. Well there was two table waiting for so long. We almost walked out. But the other sister came and took are order. Definitely bomb ass food. And Definitely server need to keep an eye on making all customer happy and taken care of, before chit chatting so loudly Would definitely go back. Hoping for a better experience next time read more

5 stars for large Thai tea. Service 4 stars-very friendly although not greeted when coming in. Food: Ample serving of cucumber salad but lukewarm. Pad Thai mushy and had raw egg odor. Penang with seasoning that was off, tasted like it was a powder. We just did not get the authenticity and full flavors typical in most Thai restaurants. 2.5 stars. eg EATS read more

I'm stuck between 3 and 4. Here's the breakdown: They know the term "Vegan" and are super accommodating. The spring rolls were different than most spring rolls that I've had at various Thai spots. We had two tofu dishes and a Pad Thai. While I liked my tofu dish, my husband thought his had too much vinegar. The Pad Thai was ok, didn't have a lot of the toppings that are typically on Pad Thai's but it was a noodle dish and I love noodles. The place Is pretty dirty, honestly. There was food and dirt all over the walls and while we ate we kept getting whiffs of urine from the bathroom. Not sure if I would visit again if I'm ever in town. read more

Thai house is the best Thai food, hands down. Satay, Wings, Spring Rolls, BBQ Pork, pick anything off the menu. They haven't done me wrong. My favorite is panang curry with chicken. Spicy basil fried rice, curry fried rice, Pad Thai. Play roulette with the menu! It's great. Support local business! read more

Went there for the first time on Thursday and it is delicious. Super quaint place but overall friendly and warm. The food is customizable and there is variety! Will be going there from now on. Fairly priced and delicious. read more

The food was delicious. We got the fried rice, pad kee mow, pad Thai and red curry steak dish and it was all phenomenal. My brother came with me and he was pleasantly surprised how delicious everything was. Recommend to anyone that is looking for fresh flavors and great service. read more

Always the best food and service. Classic flavors, excellent quality and staff! The duck curry is the best!

I love this restaurant. I went for the first time about a month ago and was amazed by how accommodating they are. [My mom and brother are vegetarian and I am vegan] The second we asked them to substitute our meat with fried tofu, they immediately started asking us questions about their ingredients. The employees have full knowledge of what their food is made out of. They even made suggestions as to what we can modify. Which is a breath of fresh air because many restaurants just tell me, "I don't know it comes premade" and they don't even try to go back and check the ingredients on the labels. There are two questions I always ask myself. 1] Would I come back? (Yes) 2] Is it a place I can bring my carnivore friends to and know they will enjoy the food? (Yes) read more

Thai House - Love this place - Thai Near Me - Modesto, California

I am so happy with discovering Thai House restaurant! My Cucumber salad was fresh crisp and not too sweet. The Keang Panang curry was amazing! I know I will be back. They are only doing curbside delivery during these trying times and I wholeheartedly support them following the rules and regulations designed to keep their customers and themselves healthy. read more

Their pad thai was perfectly sweet, salty, savory, and nutty! It came with a lemon wedge which we didn't even need to use. I would definitely get this dish again, as it was in the top 3 pad thai's I have had. The pad kee mao was also quite good, but I do wish it had more flavor. I loved the amount of basil in the dish, as I've found some restaurants do skimp on it. I was also a little sad to see there were literally only two chunks of cooked tomato in the entire dish. The restaurant is taking COVID seriously, and are doing curbside pick up. Just call when you get to the parking lot and they'll bring your food out to you! read more

Best Thai food in town. Amazing pad ke-mow noodle, Pad grapao and Pad se ew with chicken. Dessert is the best: coconut ice cream with sweet rice. Amazing customer service. There is a reason we have been eating here for 18 years. read more

For my opinion is the best Thai I've been here in Modesto. They are very consistent when it comes to their food. Amazing people too.

Excellent food, absolutely phenomenal. We ordered our favorite Thai staples (Pad Thai and Pad Ma Kuer) and these were probably the best we've ever had. The restaurant was relaxed and casual, we immediately felt welcome. Our server was polite, kind, and was very helpful when we asked about the iced tea they served. (It's amazing btw) I'm so glad we stopped here. read more

We've been here multiple times and I'm asking myself why right now. I think we end up coming here once we've forgotten how disappointed in our meal we are. We ordered chicken satay and the keong panang curry with a side of rice. The chicken satay were average and the peanut sauce was probably the worst we've had and we eat a lot of Thai! We asked for the curry without carrot and cucumber and when we got home the curry had those vegetables included. It's also probably the smallest curry takeout portion I've ever gotten at any restaurant. At other restaurants this order would have easily fed two adults and for the $23 we paid I still ended up making a little something else for dinner to fill my husband and I up. Overall super disappointed and hopefully this review reminds me- and others to grab something else a little cheaper and more filling for dinner. Covid protocols- the best part about the takeout was that the restaurant has you call on arrival and they bring your food out to you so there is no one entering the restaurant. read more

Yes, yes, definitely recommend this establishment. It's family owned, and the ladies who cook the food are the real deal. Not to mention front if the house is great, super informative, polite, and funny. My entire family loves to come here, and we will continue to support. Just be careful with the spice level, their spices is authentically spicy!!! read more

Thai House - "Fresh Spring Rolls" Where is the basil, meat, cucumber or mint? Literally a tiny bit of ground chicken, rice noodles and old lettuce. - Thai Near Me - Modesto, California

Anyone know how this place is still open? The shrimp tastes as if its gone bad, the rice is over cooked to paste, the curry tastes like chicken bouillon, the squid is rubber and the peanut sauce is just watered down jif. The plates came out dirty, and for the prices they skimp you at every corner. If I weren't with company (who share the same sentiments) I would have left after that first bite of spring roll. Go ANYWHERE else, even McDonalds would be a more enjoyable experience. I hate to leave such a bad review and be seen as one of "those" people, but... I am in shock. Sometimes one dish isn't so good, but its rare that no dish is even edible. read more

Awesome service and great food. The food is always fresh. The service is always pleasant and quick.

I was disappointed by the fresh spring rolls. They use a different type of lettuce that I'm used to, or they cut up the lettuce too thin. The sauce is not the sweet peanut sauce that I like. The pad sew yew was good. I like the beef strips they use in the noodles. Ordering to-go is quick. The restaurant layout is open, not intimate. The place is spacious. I probably will not go back, but service is quick and friendly. read more

Probably the restaurant with the worst customer service. We entered the restaurant and sat there for 20 minutes. The woman proceeded to take the orders of all of the tables except for ours. She then proceeded to take 4 phone orders. Even after the phone stopped ringing she never came to the table. She never acknowledged us during the visit and just proceeded to head to the back. We ended up getting up and eating at the local sushi restaurant across the street. This is not the place to get Thai food, their service is absolutely horrendous. read more

My favorite restaurant in the Modesto area! I cannot eat gluten, and they are very good about catering to that. It always turns out so good. The owner, I believe, is super helpful and nice when it comes to helping me with my food allergy. It is so nice to be able to eat Thai food again! Super relaxed restaurant as well. read more

My travel softballer wanted pad Thai and she felt if she eats it she can hit the ball better. So whatever works for this hard working teen we will try. Food is good now a days because most kids don't want to eat as they have their phone feeding them mentally. LOL. This place is located in a nice location off to the side of a bigger parking lot so bend around the corner and you'll see it. We called in our food and they were amazing on the phone and helpful. The prices were great and the portion and the price were perfect. The taste must have been good because she finished it before we got back to the hotel, which is only 15 minutes away from where the place was located. So it had to be good. It could've been more, however I'm not sure how you can quantify the portion size unless you are the owner and thinking price and operational costs etc. The service was great from start of order on phone to entering the restaurant doors and leaving. Try this place out if you are ever in town. read more

The food was REALLY GOOD! The waitress is super straight to the point, but I love that! She's very good at conversation, so be sure to talk to her! I would highly recommend this place as I have been going here since I very young, like kid young. Pros: Great food Great service Actually uses masks and stuff Cons: None, but if you get your feelings hurt easily, you may think the waitress is rude (but she's not, I promise!). read more

The food was nasty. Very bland and flavorless. Not real Thai food, I was really disappointed with the pad Thai and spring rolls. The red curry needed salt and flavor. The service was mediocre. read more

It was quite when we arrived but I am not sure why. The tables were set like a formal dining room but the prices were low to mid range while the food was better then that. The fresh rolls are sizable but bare. They could use some carrot straws and mint. But we had no problem finishing them, so there is that. Most places I ask for medium and get mild. So the first time out I went big with vegetable Pad Ke-Mow, hot. It was Haaaawt... but good the heat built but never covered the flavor. I will vial it back next time but that is me. If you like haaaawt! they have it. The tea is Thai and plentiful. We ordered chicken fresh rolls and two veggie entrees so the server came back to double check the fresh roll order. It we were vegetarian that would be a plus but it was appreciated. It shows they care and so did the rest of the service. So far the best Thai I have had between Modesto and Turlock. I will be back but for something in the medium range. read more

The food was delicious. My favorites are pork bbq( very soft and so addictive with the sauce on the side), garlic rice and pad Thai. It will satisfy your Thai craving. The staff was very friendly and provides quality service. Malay (the owner's daughter was amazing and smiles all the time). I highly recommended this restaurant with 5 stars rating. read more

Let me just say the food is good here. The service was terrible today! It took them almost an hour to bring the food out! I watched a couple walk out of there after 15 mins of waiting for someone to take their order. We could hear the workers taking tons of phone orders while customers just sat and waited. Very disappointed with the service and staff! I wont be coming back if my hungry. Come if you don't mind waiting an hour for your food. What really got under my skin is nobody came to see if I wanted more water or give me an estimate of when the food will be out. read more
