What a great find of a massage studio! I had a Groupon for this massage and had scheduled an appointment in advance. I opted for the Thai combo massage and boy was it an amazing massage. This little Thai lady, couldn't have been more than a hundred pounds soaking wet, beat the crap out of me, and pulled and pushed my muscles to the brink! I felt amazing right afterward and just a little sore for a day or two. I will definitely be going back as their regular prices are reasonable and they know what real Thai massage is and how to do it properly. I have chronic pain, mostly lower back but sometimes other areas of my body and she was able to fix and take care of most of my issues, but I will most certainly be back to have another massage soon. I love all things Thai. Thai food, Thai gold, Thai movies. So of course I love Thai massages! Thanks to Groupon I had the pleasure of a 60 minute Thai traditional massage and Thai Foot Reflexology. For newbies informational purposes, Thai massages are involve a blend of assisted stretching, deep tissue and Swedish massage modalities. Customers are fully clothed and given Thai traditional loose pants to wear as well. The massage session begins at the feet to enhance blood circulation during the session. Eventually the massage therapists works up towards the head. At times you will be encouraged to turn over from your back, front, side (both left and right) and then sitting position as every part of your body is worked on. The therapists will not only utilize her hands during the session but also knees, elbows, and arms. For example during one particular modality, I held my therapists' hands and arms while she used her weight and knees to fully stretch out my back. Trust me, it is not as painful as described. The foot reflexology was not too strenuous. During this modality the massage therapist massaged my feet at various reflex points and using herbal lotion to soothe any pain and release blocked energy to improve my circulation, lymphatic and stimulate internal organs. Best of all, I dosed on and off during the reflexology! Once the session was complete I was offered tea or water. I gladly accepted tea to further help my body stave off illness with antioxidants. Overall I would definitely come back for another Thai massage at Thai Healing House. The staff was friendly. My therapist, Kwan, was joyful and easy to talk to which helped ease the comfort process during the massage. If you've never had a Thai Massage or have had one but can't find the right place...you dont need to look any further. Tukta has a petite frame, but DO NOT let that fool you! She knows exactly how to work my body to get all the knots out. My upper back was so tense it felt like a rock. I've been here twice now, able to take advantage of the Yelp deal ($80 for hour long Thai traditional massage with deep pressure). Both times I left feeling like a completely different person. Now, this is not a "relaxing" type of massage IMO, but it gets to the root of all your aches and pains, even if that means deep-diving into your joints and being pushed and pulled around like a puppet. My body felt so stretched and rejuvenated afterwards that any pain I experienced during the massage was worth it. I would recommend not coming here if you have just gone hiking for a good stretch of time beforehand, as I made the mistake of doing. My pain was just more acute than it would have been had I been laying around on the couch watching Netflix (motivation to do nothing?? :)). But in all seriousness, the massage therapists are very thorough, communicative of any issues going on in your body, and ultimately give excellent massages, which can be tailored to your personal preferences. read more

I've built up a fair amount of tension and stress since my last massage (years ago) and decided to go here after checking out the list of massage places near me. Well, mission accomplished. Shout out to my masseuse Darin. Darin was thorough, and always asked whether the pressure was too much or if I was ever in pain. The target areas I wanted relieved were certainly focused on, and areas I didn't even know were that coiled were, well, uncoiled. The pressure was somewhere between "feels just right" and "kinda hurts but in a good way," and the result is a lack of tension I haven't felt in forever. I have been seeing Tukta on an off for over 6 years. I love her dearly and recently started seeing her again for my regular 2 hour massage. Other comments here are true, Tukta is petite in frame but works your body by going through the full Thai routine. I have followed her to what is now her 3rd location. I will go to no one else---she is the best. Thai massage is not for everyone. Folks who like yoga, pilates, etc will love this as I often refer to it as "assisted yoga." I work out regularly and the increase in my flexibiliy is almost immediately evident aftewards. You lie on a thin mat on the floor on your back to begin with. She will work each leg individually along with some flexibility and stretching for your hamstrings. Arms are also worked individually. Flip over face down (she'll provide you a pillow) she works your back and shoulders, then back over for shoulders and THE BEST scalp massage you could ever wish for. Who else would benefit? Runners, cyclists, and folks looking to improve flexibility. I find this type of massage relaxing. Do not go for less than the 2 hours----it's just not worth it. read more

I believe all the good reviews on this place, but I may have been unlucky. The masseuse was relatively new (arrived from Thailand only 2 months ago). I get Thai massage frequently from many establishments, and I am familiar with Thai traditional and aroma massage techniques. But every move she made was strange. She would press on my wrist and arms with her elbows or some boney part of her (I was face down and couldn't see). At one point she pressed my forearm muscles sideways with pressure, then they slipped, causing extreme pains (still hurts after two days). Her stretching was also very different, unlike other Thai massage I received. From the beginning I asked her to focus more on the lower back, and she replied 'lower back' but received very little attention there. Other five star reviews are from many months ago, so it appears that I got unlucky getting an untrained masseuse with little knowledge about Thai massage. read more

I likened it to partner yoga, but you get to be the "silent" partner as your body is pushed and pulled and stretched for healing. You're fully clothed (they supply the comfortable outfit if you're dressed for work) AND no oil is used so you're not all slimy when you depart. The masseuse was very kind and initially asked a ton of questions regarding my problem areas and still managed to find the little kinks and tight muscles I haven't mentioned. She asked a fair amount of times during the massage if she was applying too much pressure, which is very considerate compared to other places I've been to. The warm essential oils she used were very calming and relaxing. Towards the end of the session she offered me advice on pressure points I should target at home to improve my lower back pain. I was concerned that an hour would not be enough to heal my overworked body but it turned out to be more than plenty! I get monthly western massages so when I saw this on Living Social I figured I would give it a try. The massage itself was good, so I understand why others are giving it four stars. I can't, however, solely due to the administrative staff. I used my Living Social deal a day late. My fault, so I expected to pay the difference between the "discount" price ($55) and the "promotional" price ($80). Instead the receptionist insists that the promotional value is $115. Even after I show her on the voucher she essentially tells me I'm lying. After arguing with me they offered to lower it to $90. At this point I wasn't going to argue over $10 and just said fine. It is an excellent example of being penny wise and pound foolish, however, as I won't be back. I get a massage to release stress not get more. Lily was super nice and even at the end of the massage showed me some daily stretching exercises that would help me. All the staff are really nice.
