My order came out quickly and piping hot which I absolutely love! The soup was a little more sour and spicy than other Tom Yum soups I've ordered, but it was still delicious and I savored every spoonful. The spring rolls were fried and went well with Sriracha. Love this place but have to drop a star. Went yesterday and they ran out of the thin noodles I like..I don't prefer the others. I was really craving the food too so I opted to get regular noodles..kind of disappointing. I would have felt better with a discount for inconvenience but, probably shouldn't have ordered at all. Also , last time I went I asked if they had shrimp chips...they do but they charged me $4 for a bowl...that's a bit much. I could understand 2 but 4..no way! Should have asked. Ugh! read more

This place used to be really good, but today it sucked. I haven't been in awhile and wish I didn't go today. Egg drop soup taste like salty dish water, my daughters noodles with brown sauce made her sit in Home Depots bathroom for about 45 minutes with diarrhea and my mom felt nauseous the rest of the day. I see the not so good reviews on here, but I have to say my take out was great. Since I got takeout I can't speak too much about the service, but the food was great. I got tofu pad thai, pad see ew, and chicken and cashews. Everything was super delish especially the pad see ew. This place made it with skinny noodles, I've only ever seen it with wide noodles so that was a little different but very tasty. It's definitely not a high class joint, it's an order at the window type of place, but I'd definitely be interested in eating in and seeing if the food is even better right off the stove top! read more

Called in for a carryout order--was greeted with just a "Hello." I wasn't even sure I had dialed correctly! It was a very short, almost rude interaction--I guess I'm used to some prompts like "What type of meat? How spicy?" I had to offer those details on my own once there was some awkward silence. So my pad see ew came with thin noodles--I should have looked at a menu before I order because I have never had it come with thin pad-thai like noodles, I was pretty disappointed. It tasted pretty okay but as the next day's lunch (which really, Thai food is some of the best leftovers ever)... it was not good at all. The dark sauce became kind of clumpy too once reheated. Mediocre Thai food at best. Didn't have enough traditional Thai flavors I've been used to eating. Food: Chicken Fried rice - flavor was lacking that Thai taste and was a bit oily Chicken and broccoli with brown sauce - was tasty, but again, didn't have that Thai flavor I'm used to... Perhaps missing some or too little Thai type of soy sauce (thai soy sauces taste a bit different from regular type such as kikkoman). Hot and sour soup - nothing special. Same as any I've gotten at Chinese restaurants Service: Though this is mainly a takeout place, with only enough space for 2 tables, we ended up eating at there. Food is good- a little more peppery than Thai I've had in the past but this is not necessarily a bad thing. They technically have a few tables inside but most people get takeout. During peak hours the wait times can be very long- wish they would expand but maybe they are happy with the way it is? Staff have always been friendly and courteous, even when it's obvious they are extremely busy. Generous portion sizes. Recommend for takeout and asking upfront how long it will take. read more

I've been going to this Thai food establishement for well over 10 years now. The #36 (medium hot) every time. I can't even branch out and try new dishes here. I get the same thing every time. As for dining in, you can sit yourself at one of the 4 tables if they're not already taken. Otherwise, carry-out is really your best option. Grab a menu, plop down in one of the vinyl chairs, watch as the Thai chef whips it up before your eyes and before you know it, your eating some of the best Pad Thai you have ever had by the dumpster in back or, back at the office, or home. I ordered mild vegetable pad Thai carry out, which was pretty good. The vegetables were plentiful and fresh. Portions were generous, but I thought it tasted a little too lemony-maybe because there wasn't enough spice to balance it out. I might try medium spice next time. Bad... Really bad. If other reviews compare this to authentic Thai food they have no idea what they are taking about and must enjoy the taste of plain noodles with oil. I wanted to like it and tried simple standard options in pad thai and drunken noodle. Pad Thai was 2lbs of plain noodle, no chicken, egg, bean sprouts etc. Drunken noodle was defiantly cooked in the same batch as the pad thai no difference. A coconut soup was sour.. Painfully so and was all onion. The building looks sad and rusted and the food does as well. Major disappointment, better or even decent options are available elsewhere. read more

I like this place! I have been going there regularly for a few months now. The owners are very friendly and the food is always made fresh when you order. I usually get the Pad Thai, Pad Khing, Drunken Fried rice, and potstickers (dumplings). Note: Their "Hot" is the hottest spiciness I've had anywhere, so if you're not used to eating raw ghost chiles, you should stick with the "medium". We ended up here after finding out the hard way that the Thai Cafe in Howell was closed until November 4th. Arrived only 25 minutes before closing with a party of 7, and the service was courteous and fast, and the food was quite excellent. We love Thai and have eaten it at every possible place in the Lansing area, and many in the the Detroit area. I had Pad Thai Beef Med-Hot and found it delightful, others in the group loved their meals also, including fried rice dishes, curry dishes etc. We are so happy to find that this place is a dependable source for good, comforting Thai food, convenient to the freeway. read more
