As the name should have warned me, there is no resemblance to Thai flavor in the dishes we ordered (Green Curry and Drunken Noodle). After a few bites, my wife, a Brighton native who tried to warn me, said to our child, "Sometimes, you just need say to your husband, 'I told you so.'" The Green Curry does not appear to have any coconut milk but, instead, has a base made out something like cream of chicken soup or gravy. The Drunken Noodle is made with a strangely sweet sauce and has an overpowering amount of oregano (oregano?!?) Hats off to the staff, though, who had our meals made in 10 minutes. Glad to see a new Thai Restaurant around here. This area definitely lacks diversity in good food. Ordering is easy. You pick your dish, your protein, and your spice. I love that you can choose your protein and for the most part there is no up charge (just for shrimp). I went with the No Thai Fried Rice with the weak sauce (spice). It was the perfect amount for me. Just gave me a tiny little kick. The dish had large chunks of white meat chicken that was not over cooked. The flavor was amazing. My only complaint is that the rice was a little gooey. It seems like maybe it was cooked with too much water. My husband had Pad Thai. I tasted it. He had medium heat. That was too hot for me. But I'm a weakling. It was really tasty! I was thrown off because it wasn't brown or orange in color. The only complaint about this dish is that it was watery. The staff were nice and answered questions! I think they are worthy of a 4.5. The only reason I can't give a 5 is because the rice was too gooey and the pad Thai was too watery. Otherwise, excellent! Overall my wife and I have been very happy with this restaurant. Food is always good, but I have to say the service today was terrible. It took 25 minutes for two dishes ( Pad Thai and Sweet ,spicy chicken) for takeout. 4 people came in after me and got their food and left. On top of top of that I ordered no peanuts on the PadThai and there were peanuts. I got a half apology, not even sure there was an apology. Try this place on a whim after it was recommended by a coworker. I would also now recommend it for anybody that likes a quick Thai meal. The prices appear to be a bit expensive for the display of what you get, however the food quality and taste make up for it. The service at this location was quick and friendly. We will definitely come back again when we're in the area. We ordered the pad Thai and spicy chicken. If you're not used to some heat, I would recommend little or no sauce. I think you might be losing the flavor if you have no sauce, but it tends to be a little spicier. read more

Thai food is one of my favorites, so I was excited to try a new place in Brighton. What a complete letdown. I ordered the Pad Seeyu dish with chicken and medium spice. I knew right away when I got home that it would be underwhelming. It looked and tasted like plain noodles!! The sauce was so light that you could hardly taste a thing. I wish I tried this in the restaurant because I would have returned and walked out. Is that why the name is "no thai"? Is this just a fast food copy of Thai food?? I am shocked people are ordering from this place. I tried to get my teenage son to finish it and even he said it was bad (when he is hungry, he will eat almost anything). UPDATE SINCE PREVIOUS VISIT I came back with hopes to speak to the chef one last time before I made the junket to A2. To my surprise he was on the register. I explained I was the one from before requesting all sauce on the side for drunken noodles. I also explained how I really didn't like them the way he made them days earlier where the noodles when sitting in sauce for close to an hour at not appetizing at all. He agreed and made my order the way I requested. He also showed me how he put it in the container with egg on top which even looked better than the other locations. When I arrived home, the noodles and sauce was still piping hot. I enjoyed them thoroughly and ate it all on one sitting, which I never do. I appreciated his wanting to make my eating experience what I wanted which changes my previous perspective. read more

For anyone new to No Thai, be cautious when you choose your spice level; I love spice but still ask for a step down from what I would most places. We usually dine at the East Lansing location but since we were traveling decided to stop at the Brighton location. Seating is ample for a fast-casual option, the dining area was clean and service was very fast. We ordered the No-Thai Fried Rice with chicken, Pad Seeyu with shrimp, and Crab Wontons. All food was hot, delicious, and the entrees were large enough that we took more than half home and can have several more meals this week. A great value and experience -- would recommend. read more

No Tanx! i've passed by often but this was my first & last visit. i ordered the chicken green curry & found it quite flavorless except for the strong chicken taste (there was something off about it. yuk!) i'm used to a creamy coconut milk & basil green curry but this seemed to have neither of those, it was as if it was made with cornstarch. he had pad thai which i guess was okay, he ate it all. the portion of rice was extremely skimpy in both dishes. thanks i'd say they need to up their game in food quality, ambience & service...i wasn't expecting a cafeteria style restaurant and it was horribly overpriced! read more

As with all No Thai restaurants, because it's fast food, it doesn't taste as authentic compared to a smaller family-owned Thai restaurant. It's not gonna stop me from grabbing a drunken noodle to-go after a stressful day at work though. But I would go to a sit-down restaurant if I wanted to truly savor more flavorful Thai food. New to the corridor No Thai is tucked away behind Aldi in an unassuming almost hidden location. Despite the current pandemic situation the belly wanted what the belly wanted. This particular Sunday it wanted thai food. We thought we'd try this place out having seen the sign from G.R. so we called in an order posthaste. With the current lockdown newly in place the dining room was broken down and stacked along the wall. The restaurant looked spotless though...very clean inside. Service was friendly but not exactly fast, or punctual for that matter. They quoted me 20-25 minutes...it was closer to 35. Just an observation but no biggie. Overall the food was pretty good but on the pricey side for thai. My wife had a noodle dish, I ordered the sweet and spicy chicken and we also tried the spring rolls and the crab and cheese wontons. The noodle dish had good flavor but the sauce was really thin and didn't cling to the noodles. The battered chicken in my dish was fairly overcooked and dry. I found the chicken had really small thin pieces that held the batter and glaze really well but toughened from the fry. The glaze was delightful though. The spring rolls were AOK but they use the same dipping sauce for both those and the crab wontons which were over fried but had good flavor. I think we'll give this place another shot but out the gate it didn't contend with the local's favorite thai spot downtown. read more

Amazing food, great food quality. I've been here twice now, and I've tried the medium and yoga flame spice. The yoga flame is a great level for me, as it's not as spicy as your traditional Thai place. The spring rolls were good, and definitely use the duck/plum sauce to dip it in. I almost asked for a refund and left. I probably will not be returning. If you have time to wait, there food is excellent. My wife had he pad tai prepared at max spice and loved it. I had pad tai mild. It was very good but I wish it had a little more sauce. Overall great service, great food at a great price.
