All of the food was delicious, the staff was super friendly and fast, and the atmosphere, while not necessarily setup like a typical restaurant, was comfortable. They had great music playing the whole time, too! Highlights: Panang curry with beef, tofu triangles, and tom yum soup read more

Thai Elephant Restaurant - Lanang Panang Curry, Thai Iced Coffee - Thai Near Me - Cleveland, Ohio

The server was extremely polite and welcoming, which made this a great experience despite the mediocrity of the food. The appetizers were way better than the actual meal. We loved every appetizer we had, especially the tempura shrimp. But three shrimp is definitely not enough. They should make it six and increase the price. We both got the red curry, and it was mediocre at best. The consistency was watery and the flavor was not as pungent as I'm used to having with Thai curry. This is unfortunate since it is a Thai restaurant and the curry should be on point. I would come back and try something else only because the appetizers were so good and the server was so kind. read more

Tasteless Panang Curry beef. Interior was undergoing major renovation, and was a mess.

Food and service was amazing. Not sure why more people don't know about this gem. If you're a fan of Thai, then I highly suggest this place. read more

raw food within order I ordered pad kee mao not raw kee mao. This is upsetting when I usually choose you guys for this dish get it together just because a 3rd party service is used doesn't mean quality shouldn't be matched to in person dining. read more

Summer Rolls were so old and rice paper wrappers so dried out as to be virtually inedible. The contents was bland and too little dipping sauce provided. The General Tso's chicken was at best a 5, lacking the crispness you expect from this dish. Overall, very disappointing. I would not order from here again. read more

The server was very polite, welcoming, took our order and check in a timely manner, and made water check ins throughout the meal. The fried gyoza were good, but unfortunately the Pad Thai was pretty mild (bland) in flavor, which is great for some people but I like a lot of flavor. I couldn't taste any tamarind or fish sauce :( read more

I wanted chineese for dinner I usually get sesame chicken but I decided to go for the pad Thai this time the one good thing bout this place is that it is open later then most chineese restaurants which is great this is the first time trying this restaurant its next to a few bars on Lorain but it's pretty quiet to be honest the inside is what you would normally see in a restaurant nothing fancy the guy that did the order was very nice and soft spoken overall the pad thai was very good I added yum yum sauce which made it that much more tastier I would recommend and give this place a try if you in the area or just looking for something to eat. read more

Thai Elephant Restaurant - Pad thai - Thai Near Me - Cleveland, Ohio

Use to be our go to for Thai but last few visits has been disappointing. Not sure what happened. Today, the medium spicy tom yum soup had no flavor at all.. it tasted like mildly spiced water with undercooked veggies and the pad thai I requested to be medium spicy was very sweet and not spicy at all. read more

Impeccable service and wonderfully cooked food, need I say more? The restaurant itself has a cozy vibe and is very clean. read more

Thai Elephant Restaurant - Mango bubble tea, honeydew bubble tea, and strawberry bubble tea (from left to right) - Thai Near Me - Cleveland, Ohio

We ordered through Chownow for delivery (Order #230959336) and we ordered a Basil Roll, Tom Yum, Pad Satay and for good measure a General Tsos to mix it up. The Tom Yum soup was good, but everything else was pretty rough. The Basil Roll was delivered as a giant broken log. The Pad Satay had zero peanut sauce (kitchen trying to save a few dollars?), and the General Tsos was thai-hot soy sauce and chicken. Not sure if the place had a bad night, or lowers their quality of standard for delivery at times, but this is not good Thai food. The cost isn't cheap, so I really encourage others to spend their money elsewhere. read more

Thai Elephant Restaurant - Fresh/Summer Roll (Basil Roll) was delivered as a giant broken "log." - Thai Near Me - Cleveland, Ohio

When I arrived the door was locked. A sign and a doorbell. Hmm. What the heck. I hit the button. And within two minutes the lady arrived. She goes to get my order and after ten mins. She comes back. Oh. Did I forget to mention that it was 28 degrees out. Street Parking was completely packed due to bars in the area. I had to wait in the cold. This place should reconsider keeping people in the cold. The food tasted good. I ordered veggie fried rice and Tom Yum soup. The rice was cooked good and the soup tasted great. The right amount of spice. I really enjoyed it. But my problem is. I won't go back as long as it's cold outside. What a shame. Since the food tasted good. read more

Every time I've eaten food from here, it's been delicious! We got takeout and it was done right on time. We ordered online, which was easy. I got the massaman curry with noodles, which was absolutely delicious. My husband got the crispy chicken basil rice, which we said was good too. read more

My rating for Thai Elephant's food is 4 stars. I did delivery through the Yelp app, which is really Grubhub. My rating for the delivery is 3 stars. A couple of Fridays ago, I had driven from Markham to Cleveland. I checked in at the hotel and didn't feel like driving to grab some dinner. I wanted a quiet evening at the hotel without being behind the wheel. The last time I had ordered dinner through the Yelp app was in Anaheim in 2016. To me, ordering is a treat. I don't do it often. I tend to be either on vacation or on a business trip. Thai Elephant had a favourable rating. I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the following items: - Fried potstickers (five) - Steamed dumplings (eight) - Thai-style fried rice with chicken I had ordered at 7 pm. I got confirmation in a e-mail saying that the estimated delivery time was 8:15 pm. Cool. Roughly twenty minutes later, the estimated delivery time was changed to 8:30 pm. I was okay with it, although I was getting hungry. 8:30 pm came and went. The delivery person showed up at 8:45 pm. I was relieved and hungry. I thanked him for the food and went to chow down. Frankly, I feel that placing a dinner order and waiting for nearly two hours to get it within a major city to be an exceptionally long wait. The food here, on the other hand, was delicious. With the potstickers, you have the option of getting them fried or steamed. I went with the former. They weren't fried to death, which I appreciated. You got a decent amount of chicken and cabbage in each potsticker. The potstickers came with this amazing sweet and sour black soy sauce mix. It made everything extra tasty. I also ordered what were dubbed dumplings. I got them steamed instead of fried. They looked like little scallops with a thin wrapper holding the ground pork and onions together. They were okay. They also came with that special sweet and sour black soy sauce. After dipping each dumpling in this sauce, they were yummier. The Thai-style fried rice was amazing. You got a lot of chicken breast meat. Frankly, you got a generous amount of everything. I ate it all. I asked that the onions be held. I looked at the photo and it looked like they were huge chunks of onion and I didn't want to ward off the world. Sadly, the folks also cut out the green onions, which I wanted. Anyway, it came with peas, carrots, and fried egg. This dish was super tasty. I especially loved how yummy the fried egg came out. I highly recommend ordering this dish. Perhaps when I am back in Cleveland, I will dine in this restaurant instead of doing delivery. Other than the horrible wait time to get my order, the food made that issue and my hunger pangs fade away quickly. (396) read more

Got takeout from this unassuming spot in a Lorain Avenue strip mall...but their flavors were an unexpected surprise! We ordered a variety of appetizers and mains to share...crab rangoons, Summer rolls, shrimp red chili (a chef's special) and massaman curry with chicken. Here is a rundown of each dish: The crab rangoons were crisp and served with a sweet and sour sauce that complimented the dish well. The Summer rolls were huge and came with a plum / peanut sauce...it was like having a salad in a roll! The shrimp red chili was delicious served with onions, green peppers, carrots, mushrooms, cabbage and a sauce that was both sweet and spicy. The massaman curry was spiced nicely and made creamy by the coconut milk; the chicken came mixed with potatoes, onions, carrots and crushed peanuts. We also got two small containers of white rice that allows you to build out each plate. All in all I would definitely order from here again...great flavors, prompt service and reasonable prices. read more

Well originally I wanted to try the famous polish boy sandwich but the restaurant was close for dinner. Since I saw Thai restaurants around Cleveland this one was the only one that was open for dining and surprisingly the owner is Caucasian and not Thai. Anyways do come here cuz the food is actually delicious and actually less expensive than eating Thai food in Chicago. Anyways I ordered a interesting red curry their version where they have crispy fried chicken next to tofu Tom kha so far looks delicious. Do come here now that pandemic restrictions are down read more

Nothing too special inside, however the food makes up for it! It was our first visit and we tried the crab Rangoon, thai style basil chicken, and pad peanut; all dishes came out quickly and had wonderful flavor. The servers were very friendly and attentive. They served large portions that included white rice. Would return and eat here again! read more

Ordered food for pick up. Be forewarned not to arrive early. Due to covid they are not letting anyone in the building. Everything is passed through the door. It was cold; around 28°. Not too happy about that part. They could have allowed people to come in for carry out. I ordered the pad Thai and coconut soup, both with chicken. In both, the chicken a little on the tougher side as if it was over cooked. The soups vegetables were al dente, but was not bad. The broth was fabulous. The noodles for the pad Thai was good also. Overall the food was very tasty. They lost a star for having to wait outside and one for the chicken. Staff was friendly. read more

Not a bad place at all. Although I've had better Thai food elsewhere, the portions were decent the taste was pretty good. Ordered the Pad Thai. I will probably try something else next time. But for my first time there I thought it would be a no brainer. Not sure what it was lacking in taste but like I said I've had better. I do like their menu. Plenty of choices and I like that you can pick your protein from meat to tofu. And your degree of spicy heat. Living in the area, this will be a go-to place when ordering out. They were also very nice. read more

My food was late to arrive. I ordered the crab Rangoon and it ended up being egg roll wrappers wrapped like egg rolls, not very fried. I got chicken drunken noodles. The chicken was pretty dry. read more

I've eaten here half a dozen times and the food is excellent. It's fresh and tasty, and they actually give you a decent spice level if you request it. The yellow curry is my go-to but the noodle dishes are also good and the house special fried rice is a must try even if fried rice isn't your regular Thai meal. I love the crab Rangoon here although it is not the typical version - I assume because it is homemade. It's not in a dumpling format, it's in the style of a fried spring roll and the filling has a great creamy and green onion flavor. The sauce they serve it with is not a thick red sweet and sour but also more of a thinner spring roll sauce. I also often order fried tofu as an appetizer although it isn't on the menu anymore, but they always happily make it. I completely understand the frustration in the low reviews based on the fact that they weren't letting customers inside the building during the pandemic - which was odd since the place is very long inside and they could've accommodated take out with social distancing, but perhaps they had special health concerns that I can't begin to presume. It was also odd because in general they've been very friendly people, not standoffish. However, those reviews are still typically positive toward the actual food and they are OPEN FOR INDOOR DINING again now! (Although I would say that they really need to reconsider the interior layout - they. built a sort of half walled off living room/family room in the corner of the dining room, complete with couch, recliner, blankets, and television. It is quaint, I suppose, reminiscent of old school Asian restaurants that had a nook for children to do their homework. ) I also appreciate that they do third party delivery services even though I know that small restaurants like this get absolutely killed financially on those. read more

I'm in Cleveland for business and just wanted some good food in my room- I ordered from Thai Elephant at 7:20 my food arrived at 9:15 ... and it wasn't Uber... two drivers cancelled because the food wasn't ready.. finally one waited and I finally received my food at 9:20 ... clearly I could have eaten a horse as I was so hungry.. the pad tai was dry with ZERO flavor, the Tom kah soup equally had zero flavor I asked for hot sauce, which would have helped their tasteless food- but it was not included... I couldn't even finish either item ( I always order 2 in case one is bad ) don't order from here read more

This restaurant was okay. I would not say it was exceptional comparing it to other Thai restaurants. However, they do offer free refills on their Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee which is great since it only costs $2! I ordered samosas which looked more like empanadas (see photo). They were filled with potatoes only. Overall it was not a bad experience but rather just an okay one. read more

We got the pad see ew and pad kee mao. No major issues here besides vegetables not being cooked consistently

Love the food, best pai Thai noodles, terrific curries. Be careful ordering too spicy!

Been wanting to order some pad Thai for lunch which is usually pretty early in the day for me. I placed an order on Grubhub and when I showed up to grab my food, the place was closed for the day. Next day I show up 15 minutes after they opened and the staff had just arrived said they wouldn't be able to make any food for a while. Why open at 11 if you won't serve food until 12? I was excited to try the food it looks good and the restaurant is very cute but after two attempts I will not be coming back. read more

It's a hole in the wall resto gem ! We were passing by Cleveland from New Jersey on a road trip. We had a taste for authentic Thai food and found this place. The crab rangoon were savory - had to add another order cause it was that good. The waiter / owner recommended the crispy fried rice and it's a must. The general Tso's chicken was crispy, fresh and flavorful ! Definitely will come back if we ever around this neck of the woods. The service was also impeccable. Don't judge the looks of the interior cause what matters the most is the food. read more

After multiple takeout meals over the years, finally ate in for lunch and was impressed. Easily some of the best crab Rangoons I've ever had - more like a mini spring roll than typical fried wonton shell from most Chinese spots. Then I got Tom gum soup with noodles - wow like a Thai version of pho. So good, I think I've found my go-to lunch meal read more

Pleasantly surprised with this place. We ordered delivery (Uber eats) on a Sunday and it came within 30 minutes. I had the Pad Thai. I asked for it to be medium spicy and they made it just right!
