Small restaurant in a strip mall with big flavors. Service was fast and the food was good. Overall very reasonably priced and good portions . They do 1 to 7 stars on spice so I tried the 7 stars on the Panang and it was mild for what I was expecting. Ask for individual dishes , the Pad Thai was good but on the sweet side and the chicken satay was spot on. This is the one in Akron/Fairlawn. My granddaughter loves this location . Very seldom swamped with people the food is quality. My go to is always Pad Tai. But I have ventured to other dishes. They have dishes my husband likes. Their Tai Tea is authentic as is their food . Not easy to find but worth it. read more

Visited Rice Paper with my daughter and mother recently. Upon arrival, it was quiet and we were seated immediately. We were given menus and our drink requests were taken. My mom and I requested tea, which was perfect. As an appetizer, my daughter requested edamame, which was also perfect. For lunch, I requested crazy noodles, my daughter, pad thai, and my mom avocado curry. A short while later, our meals were delivered. My crazy noodles were superb. Just discovered this place tonight. Had to make a couple extra turns to find it, but well worth it! Small place, parking can be a bit tight. Good service, was amazed at how fast our order came out. My wife liked the Pad Thai, brought home the leftovers. I had Under The Sea - good portion, my fave seafoods, also lots of veggies, and the spice level was just about perfect. This is a beautiful little restaurant with a very humble and friendly owner, unfortunately I wasn't able to dine in being she's not able to retain the staff required to operate consistently, so at this time the restaurant is take-out only. I arrived in the Akron area mid afternoon on a recent Sunday and was looking for a sit down restaurant close to my hotel, after reading the reviews and looking at the photos I changed direction and decided to order takeout - the drive was less than 3 minutes from my hotel and I arrive earlier than the 20 minutes she stated when I placed my order and my food was waiting for me when I walked through the door. I can just imagine how good the dine-in experience would have been after meeting the owner and chatting with her for a few minutes - the food was absolutely amazing I ordered it Thai Hot which translates to level 5 here and it was perfect I will say I've eaten much hotter but this will light you up so don't take my statement that it wasn't hot because it was, but more importantly the flavors were incredible as were the textures. Well I hope this place survives during these troubling economic times because it will be on my short list of favorites that I will return to whenever I'm in the area. Lunch today at Rice Paper in Fairlawn, OH. They have an extensive menu including items you would expect to find at a Thai restaurant. I Tried their Country Style Pad Thai. It is supposed to be the spicy version of the regular Pad Thai. I could definitely have handled more spice. The nice waiter brought me some chili flakes. They added a nice kick. It was very good, and a nice portion for a lunch size. I took my leftovers home. Keep in mind before going, this is not a large restaurant. Limited seating that's rather close together. Might not be suitable for those who want to social distance more. If that the case I suggest you order take-out. You definitely want to try this place. read more

Wow! That's a good place to start when speaking about my experience here. Don't let the outside plaza appearance fool you, this is a wonderful restaurant with excellent food - and being a (picky) vegan, having a whole section of the menu to choose from is amazing! The waitresses are quiet and sweet, and I only got to the bottom of my water glass once - not mad, however, since there were only two of them taking care of all the dine-in customers, answering the phone, and handing takeout orders to those walking in. My mom and I got two different things, so we could try both (she's a vegetarian), and although I liked mine - the Tofu Tamarind - a lot I think I liked hers - the Tofu Royal - a bit better. The sauces were INSANELY good on both though! Also the Spinach Potstickers were jaw-droppingly amazing, I think I could've eaten five orders as a meal! Next time I want to try the Pad Thai... Glad it had three times as much chicken as the entre. Pad Thai - As I remembered from last time, perhaps worse. Not much flavor: very little sauce, though a little spicey (thank goodness). The flavor was bland. There were two shrimp and about a half ounce of chicken pieces. Certainly insuffucient protein - and this was the dinner size. Dinner was a disaster. Never again. Go two blocks south to Pad Thai Restaurant. Pad Thai Restaurant: some dishes a little pricier, but you get what you pay for. Rice Paper Restaurant: you don't get what you paid for. read more

I ordered the Country Style Pad Thai and she had the Pineapple Fried Rice. Both were easily the best we've had in the area. We usually don't finish a whole plate, but it was so good we ate everything. The inside was clean and has a nice look. I took a guest who was visiting from Thailand, Bangkok area, to Rice Paper for lunch. The server was Thai and he had a nice conversation with her and ordered for us. He LOVED Rice Paper and said it pretty authentic...very close in taste and style to back home. I had take him to a Thai restaurant in Tremont and one in Chicago as well, but Rice Paper blew those away. The lunch portions were substantial. We will be back! read more

Visited this restaurant yesterday after dining here plenty of times. It's been awhile since I've been here & I'm not sure what changed but we were disappointed in our food. First, they changed it so you no longer can get a lunch portion & are forced to get the dinner portion. It's not listed on the menu & noticed it on the door, as you walk in. I think it should be written on the menu. The pad Thai was sweeter than I remember & the noodles were stuck together. Every time we've gone, there is a blonde Asian woman who works there. She never does anything...meaning, she doesn't seat people, bring out food, take orders. She just seems to sit at the register. Not sure if she is the owner or manager; I should have asked. Yesterday, she was sitting up in her seat, with her eyes closed. Then she proceeded to the bench, grabbed her blanket & went to sleep in the dining room!!!!! My husband & I were appalled. If they are this laxed about how their employees behave, how laxed are they about other things? I don't think we will be returning here after that. read more
