We had a couple drinks at Frank's Place and placed our order. 15 minutes later, it was hot and ready. My car smelled so good that my mouth was watering. He ordered the Cantonese chicken, which was good but kind of basic. My stir fried chicken and veggies in ginger sauce were better--and the veggies were so fresh and crisp. You may have noticed, but there's a garden behind the restaurant, and they grow a lot of their own produce. The star of the night was the veggie Egg Foo Young, which I'd never tried before. I saw photos of it online and had to try it. Wow. Egg Foo Young: where have you been all my life? I feel like I'm going to have a new food hyperfixation because this was absolutely delicious and fresh, and I've never had anything like it before. It was a very thin, very crispy omelet with veggies folded in, and then it was covered with a flavorful brown gravy. There are so many other things I want to try, and I can confidently say that my partner was right. It was worth the drive, and our food stayed warm even after a pit stop for beer on the way home. Our meal at Chin's was a reminder of just how good Chinese food can be when it's just not chicken nuggets covered in a sweet sauce.

Served in a round plastic bowl, the lo mein had soft noodles tossed with soy sauce, soft shrimp (cleaned), cabbage, and sprouts. The golden fried rice had a mix of carrots, peas, onions, and small roast pork pieces. The egg roll was filled with shredded cabbage and minced ground pork. I always order the same thing because it's so delicious: vegetable lo mein, general tso's tofu (still not sure why this specific tofu is the general's ‍), vegetables in a delicious brown sauce that sometimes spills in the bag because it's so much in the dish. And their fried donuts, omg they are so good!! But don't get them! They're bad for you! I'm always greeted politely and kindly. The service is stellar. I wish they had a bigger dining area so we could sit down and eat in the restaurant. The ambiance is giving "we are no longer accepting customers in our dining room". Hopefully, they will open it up after they understand we like being around them and their food!
