Cassandra should be fired...We have been dinning here for years and tonight we ordered takeout. We arrived to the restaurant and my mom asked Cassandra a question as we were double checking our order (we were the only ones in the restaurant). As my mom was writing a tip, I overheard Cassandra talking smack about my mom not even 5 feet away from us, and in the same room as a matter of fact. I let her know that we could hear her and that if she was going to be talking badly about customers, they should do it in private. She continued to disrespect my mom to her face and did not apologize. Her comment was "I'm sure you've ordered takeout from here before, so you should already know". Not impressed with service! Food is yummy. I'm eating the pad Thai and miso soup right now and i really like it. Not sure what other people reviewing this place expect. The pad Thai sauce is thick and yummy, the noodles are cooked perfect, the dish tastes fresh and the service was fine, the food hot and fast and that was with the 4 mile drive home, and it's cold outside! My standards for food are pretty high, and i'm a pretty picky eater. The other really nice thing... i didn't ask for chop sticks, soy sauce, or any other condiments; i thought about it, on the way home and thought i was going to be disappointed, but they were in the bag! Finally! Someone who actually thinks about what they're doing! The sad part (minus one star) is on a Saturday night, they say they're going to be open until 9, and I was there before 8:30, and was told all that was available was "to go" orders, and nothing fried as they had already closed the fryer, which is good in a way because i can't stand it when a restaurant doesn't clean the fryer... problem is they need to advertise service until 8:15 or 8:20, or keep the kitchen open until the advertised time. If you have to let one of the waitstaff go home early, and get slammed at the end, people understand... if you turn customers ($$$) away because it was slow before 8:30, people don't come back and then you end up closing the doors for good. Which is going to be our loss because i don't know where else to get good Thai food in Cruces! read more

Decent Thai food, especially considering the lack of amazing restaurants here in Las Cruces. However, about 50% of the time we order takeout, a part of the order is forgotten. This is inexcusable. I LOVE THIS PLACE. I go at least once a week. I love their pad thai and green curry with chicken! Whatever it is I order that day, I always end my meals with mango sticky rice for dessert! The only reason I'm giving this place one star is because giving negative stars isn't an option. Let me say the food is great here! Which is really sad, because the staff is a nightmare! Save yourself the trouble and order it to go. The staff is very unfriendly and not attentive whatsoever. I've had several awful experiences with the staff. I had ordered an extra side with my meal and the waitress forgot it. She asked if we needed anything else and I simply asked for my side. Ermelinda, the manager, rushed to her side letting me know that they are servers not servants and if I was going to act like that I'd need to leave. Act like what?? Another time I was eating here with a large group of people and someone spilled their drink. We immediately started cleaning it with our napkins and asked our server if we could have some more napkins. She came back with a few napkins and said "clean that up" very rudely. Another time my friend asked if the sweet n sour chicken was grilled or breaded and the server responded with " Does this look like a Chinese Restaurant?" The food is really good, but it is unfortunate that the staff treats their customers this way. I've never been to any restaurant that is so unfriendly and to be quite honest mean. Hopefully the owner or someone in charge sees this, so they can do something about this. Its safe to say I won't be returning. We arrived to Thai Delight at 8:15 tonight. Upon entering, we were not greeted or even acknowledged. This is only the second time that I have been there, and I had decided to give it another try. The place smelled like purple Fabuloso. Not appropriate while a business is still open. The hostess grabbed menus and walked to the table and again, no acknowledgement. Like I was supposed to know to follow her. Then she mumbled some words which I assumed were to follow her. Then she walked away. She came back a few minutes later and took our drink order. It took her a while to come back with them. No words again. After sitting for another 10 minutes of watching all the staff clean, we decided no to give our business to them. Their menu also states that 18% gratuity will be added if separate checks are requested. My assumption for this odd policy is that it must inconvenience them to be like any other normal establishment. We got up to leave and told the waitress that we were going to eat elsewhere. Her response... "Okay." I don't think that I will give this restaurant a third try. 2 strikes is enough. read more

Having just tried renoo's on the other side of town I decided to try this place to see how they compare. First I noticed both Thai places had weird things on their menu, like jäger schnitzel. I think I liked the atmosphere at renoo's a little bit better, but honestly I don't care if the food is good. Here I ordered the Tom Gha Kai and the pad Thai. The Tom Gha Kai was pretty good and comparable to most decent Thai places out there. I have never seen celery in this soup until I ate here and renoo's however... Thought that was kind of strange. Tasted pretty good though. The pad Thai was decent however had little tiny pieces of chicken and peanut ground up very finely in it. Thought that was kind of weird as well. Again the taste was decent. Service was decent as well. Still better then any Thai resturant in El Paso. So between renoo's and this place, they pretty much have the that market on lock down for a 300nm radius. read more

Great lunch today! The service was top notch and the restaurant was very clean. We had the pad thia and it was great. Should have gotten the hot version as we ordered medium and it wasn't quite spicy enough. Also had the soup, chicken and it was the best we have had in a long time in any restaurant. This is good thai food. In this area there are two thai places and the other one is horribly bland. If you like spicy - get the red curry and ask for it thai hot! if you are a real chili head, order it double or triple thai hot. It will knock your socks off! read more

Second time going to this restaurant. Took the family this time, they loved it! My girls were not feeling adventurous so they ordered the chicken BLT with fries and nearly ate everything - rarely done unless they find it tasty:-) Hubby had the curry - he was thrown off by the separate bowls (rice and curry) but loved the flavors. Outstanding Thai food. Can choose spiciness from mild, medium, hot or Thai hot. Choice of protein - chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, tofu. Great spring rolls. We did take away and even though we picked it up quite a while before we ate dinner, everything was still warm. Spices and flavors were perfect. Very reasonable prices.
