this thai place was excellent! we went herb home thai before and had to leave after looking at their prices. I had the pad kee now and the spring rolls and the tea. the spring rolls were very fresh and filling- great quantity. the peanut sauce with it was very delicious! the pad kee mow was really good and tasted authentic! it was a little spicy but in a good way. the tea was really good too! the only thing to note is that the location is a little hole-in-the-wall-y and i was scared to go in. but after j got inside the environment was really comfortable. the service was a little underwhelming but it seems like a small family business and i was more than happy to understand and support it. great restaurant i hope they continue! read more

This is my boyfriend & my favorite Thai food in Central CA. We always order the yellow curry, tom kha, & tom yum -- They're phenomenal. My mom wasn't the biggest fan of their wonton soup but it's a Thai restaurant, not a Chinese restaurant. I knew there was a good thai restaurant in town after searching Yelp. However, I couldn't find it. A woman at a nearby store pointed me in the right direction. Blink and you'll miss it. Looks like a big warehouse from the front! The owner told us that they had been there for 25 years and it was the locals' secret. Friendly staff and nice interior. Very clean and cozy. The menu had so many things to choose from. Ordered hot tea, but it tasted like fish mint (seriously, yes that's real stuff). This was definitely not Jasmine tea. An acquired taste that I could not get used to. Husband and I split Tom Kha Soup (Large in a hot pot) ($7.95). I don't like mushrooms so I was ready to pick them out. The soup was FULL of mushrooms, but they were delicious!! I was fighting him off for them. The soup was slightly sweet, rich and full of lemongrass, galangal, lime leaves and big slices of chicken. It was awesome. Next up was pad thai ($8.95). The noodles were soft, sweet and had a light taste of peanut. It was different from the pad thai that we have had, but it was very tasty. Had two large shrimp mixed in as well as chicken. Very fresh and the portion was generous. We left with full bellies and good feelings from this little gem. Only downside was that I got a MAJOR MSG headache for the rest of the night. Bummer! Anyone sensitive to MSG, consider yourself warned. Husband had no ill effects though. Probably not going to be back in Lompoc anytime soon, but we totally enjoyed this place. read more

The new owners have done a good job with this place! They have Pho now and it is different than the other Pho in town so a nice change. Good crispy egg rolls. Fresh veggies all the time! Prices are very reasonable! Thai iced tea another thing to try. Asparagus shrimp, pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles are favorites of our family and a must at the table every time we go! Best restaurant for Thai food like mom used to make (if your mom was Thai). The reason being is that a wonderful Thai aunt cooks for you with love! The food is wonderful and one day I will get to all the dishes on the menu. Right now it's hard not to Just order off the white board! Each dish I've had (about half the menu so far) has been delicious and has made my mouth sing and my tummy hum with happiness. The food is flavorful, fresh, and lovingly prepared. The spice level can be customized to your liking and I've heard people ask for ingredients to be added or left out. My husband loves the food as much as I do. We eat here often when in town and dream of it when we are home. My favorite dish might be the Pok Pok, but everything I've eaten so far is praise worthy. Love this place, service is awesome, food is awesome, and I'd eat here every night if I could! I highly recommend it! Go, you won't regret it Update: Aunt is gone, new owners as of Friday 2 March 2019. So far it's not the same. But given time it may be ok. No more pumpkin curry. No more crying tiger. First time ordering from this place. I got beef drunken noodles and cream cheese rangoons. Noodles were overly tossed, so they stuck together in tiny pieces. Didn't taste any flavors in the sauce, only a hint of spicy-ness. Tasted like something cooked at home by someone following a recipe book they bought. The beef had no flavor. The cream cheese rangoons were pretty good though. Crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside. Their sweet and sour sauce is of water consistency, which I didn't like. Panda Express's rangoons are still better though, and cheaper. All in all, I should have listened to the reviews about how management changed and food quality has gone downhill since then. Under new ownership, give it a try. I hadn't been here for years but my son encouraged me to try again and I'm glad I did. I've been there twice now and there weren't many patrons. I had the chicken satay and fresh veggie spring rolls. The spring rolls were delicious, flavorful and super fresh! They had lettuce, carrot, cucumber, Thai basil and rice noodle and a really nice peanutty sauce. The chicken satay was all white meat. Cooking white meat can be tricky, it can be very tough and dry. This was delicious and juicy. The spices were flavorful but mild. I enjoyed the vinegar cucumbers. It paired well with the chicken. This has become my wife and I's favorite Thai place in Lompoc. As long as you stick to the Thai dishes and not meander over to any Chinese dishes, you should enjoy the food. We normally get either pad Thai, drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, red curry, chicken satay, crab ran-goons, and/or fried dumplings. Always comes out great. I'm on travel for work staying at the Embassy Suites so just looked on yelp to choose a place close to our hotel. Wasn't expecting much of this place, but it did have good reviews on yelp & the sign did say first Thai place in town or something like that. My co-worker and I were both very impressed with the Tom Kha soup (I think that's what it was called, the one with coconut milk). We each were going to order a small bowl and the waiter recommended us just getting the big bowl of soup to share. We were so full with the soup, we could barely eat our main entrees. I've had plenty of Thai food and even traveled to Thailand twice now, but something about the soup here really impressed me. Could be because it was a cold day up here, so the hot flavorful soup felt good :) Another couple was talking about this special dessert they only get a few months out of the year fresh mangoes from Thailand with coconut sticky rice, and the owner had specially told them the mangoes had arrived. Quaint little resturaunt hidden around the corner near H street. Went here with my boyfriend and had their chicken Satay, Spring rolls, two sides of white rice and hot tea. We split this between the two of us and it was the perfect amount of food. Thw chicken satay was delicious, moist and full of flavor. It came with the best penut sauce I've ever had and a lil cucumber. The spring rolls were incredible, usually I find spring rolls to be refreshing but kind of bland, however these were full of flavor, I could really taste the basil in the rice wrap and came with more of the yummy penut sauce. The white rice was plentifull and only a dollar a side. The little lady who helped us was sweet and all in all it was the perfect rainy day date. Oh and the price was right. The little town of Lompoc sports four Thai restaurants. Two of them are reasonably well-hidden, and this one is the most well hidden. All four have good food but most folks in town consider this one to be the best. I haven't heard of anything that they do not do well. In the past their quality went badly downhill, but after a short closure they reopened with excellent food again. Still, if you look and look and look and cannot find this restaurant, feel free to select any of the other three because all four are good. read more
