Pad Won Sen chicken level 2

This is the go to Thai spot in Arlington. I love this place. Pad Thai level 2 perfect all the time til they start knowing me then theu slowly kicked up the spice now im eating level 5 spice. Spicey with flavor. Not just burning you. My all time favorite is the Pad Won Sen here. Perfect flavor, some place too much fish sauce, some place too salty. This perfect texture for the glass noodle. Always a good spot to have brunch with colleagues, chill environment, right ambience for a small date.

Yellow curry - a little weak

First off, I would rate Thai Basil Leaf 3.5 stars, but since that is not an option, I round up. We went here for dinner on a weeknight since we were in the area. We were seated right away as the restaurant was mostly empty at the time (it was early for dinner). Our waitress was friendly and not overbearing, which was nice. We ordered the spring rolls to start, and they were really good. A bit too much cabbage, and said cabbage also needed to be chopped a bit finer, as it resulted in strings of cabbage coming out of the roll when one bit into it. The flavor was good, though, and they were definitely hot and fresh. I ordered pork pad thai for my meal and my husband got the yellow curry with chicken. We also ordered the ginger shrimp because I wanted to have options, lol. I ended up eating all of the ginger shrimp and taking home the pad thai, which was a little bland. The ginger dish had lots of umami, but was a tad on the salty side. Husband liked the sauce so much he put it over his rice after he finished his curry. The curry was good, but lacked the depth of flavor one expects from a Thai curry. We also each could have gone up a notch on the heat, they seem to lean towards less spicy, which is unusual for a Thai restaurant. We finished with the custard and sticky rice, which was super yummy! A great way to end the meal. Overall we felt that the value for the money was ok, as Thai Basil Leaf is a little less expensive than other Thai restaurants, but I still think it should have been a couple dollars less per item, as the portions were smaller (except on the pad thai) and the quality was a little less. We probably won't be back since we don't live in that area, but if we did live around there we might come here occasionally.

I kept seeing this place when driving by and always wanted to stop in and try it. It was not too crowded when i came in, the service was very quick and my waitress was very kind. I ordered thai tea and two appetizers; fried tofu and shrimp lettuce rolls. The peanut sauce was delicious, tofu was a bit oily out of the frier but still very good and the sweet chili sauce they came with was also good! I didnt try any entrees but the atmosphere was very calm and sweet, i would definitely recommend if you like thai food!

Let me start by saying, they do not currently offer any lunch specials so disregard that menu. The restaurant is pretty small but clean. I had a quick lunch so I ordered to go and the wait was about 10 mins so not bad at all! The flavor was great although a little salty. I will be back!

My daughter recently moved to Arlington. We love Thai food, so we decided to try this neighborhood restaurant together. They didn't disappoint. Fresh ingredients and very good curry. It is in front of a HS so keep that in mind if you go during lunch hours. Reasonable prices.

Massaman curry w/ chicken

We love to support the locals and have been meaning to try this place for a while. We are so sorry we didn't go sooner - what a find! We especially love that we can bring a bottle of wine. The ambiance is really nice, with flowers on the table, newish furniture, gorgeous walls, pretty curtains, NO clutter, and overall very clean. One server was working the front of the house alone but doing a decent job. She was polite and efficient, even with several tables of diners and a few to go orders popping in while we were there. The fresh salad roll was crunchy, and the peanut sauce thick and rich and delicious. We ordered a cup of the Tom Kah soup and were surprised by the size of the dish. The soup was very good. We ordered a spice level 3 (scale of 5) which was too hot for me but my husband thought it was perfect. The two curry dishes were also very good with sizable portions and thoughtful presentation. We finished off the rolls but took home half of everything else for another meal. At $48, worth every penny; we'll be back soon!

So delicious! I had Larb with chicken and it was amazing. So flavorful and perfect. He had Pad Thai and was equally pleased. Highly recommend!

Food was good, depending on the day the spice level will vary. Thai tea is a bit on the bland side.

Super! It was easily the best Thai I've had in DFW. The Vegetable Delight (w/ chicken - level 3) was a knockout.

Place sucks. Both my dishes laad naah and yum nua was not good what so ever. Food is made for people who don't know real thai food.

Good food and good service. The portion of the rice is way to small. I finished my rice when I was just half way through my curry

I got the egg noodle soup with bbq pork (with shrimp & wontons!) that was clearly made fresh and served straight from the pot. It was flavorful with plenty of bok choy and reminded me of a grandma's homemade cooking. The gentleman who took my order casually chatted with me for a bit and was kind enough to bring the food over to the table I was sitting at. Some of the best homemade food is from the hole in the wall places - in this case a food court - so don't let it intimidate you. Just try it.

No one was present as soon I walked up, but as she came around the corner she acknowledged me right away as she was taking food to a table. She repeated my order to make sure we were on the same page and I noticed if the modification wasn't in the computer, it was written on the ticket. The ambiance - it is located inside Ben Thanh's food court. So it's an open cafeteria like the mall food court. I got my food to-go. However, I did see a couple ladies eating and everything was served as if it were a restaurant (they had a hot pot) I wasn't being nosey or anything, lol! I will return!
