I'm SO excited that Arlington finally has something comparable to Panda Express, but honestly, at about half the price! When we opened our boxes of food we unanimously agreed we should've just done one combo for us to split China Bowl is such a great find. The food is packed with flavor, especially the meats. There is plenty of sauce, everything tastes fresh, and the noodles are SO good that I could honestly eat them by themselves. The service was super friendly and efficient, and another huge plus is how QUICK everything was. You can get a really good meal without waiting forever or spending a ton of money. If you love Panda Express but want something more affordable, flavorful, and fast, definitely give China Bowl a try. I'm already looking forward to going back for the family read more

I kept hearing about this restaurant from the Arlington foodies group and decided to check it out. I been here 3x and gotten different things all 3x times. I tried the broccoli beef once, and the meat was tough; it tasted like it was overcooked. The Beijing beef I tried once was tough to chew but it did have the spice and flavor. The lo mein noodles were oily and had no flavor. I think it was the second time i went; the food I got was so oily that it had a thick film of fat the next day when I ate it for leftovers.. The first time I went was for dine-in, and the place was not busy, but they still tried to rush me to get my order done. When I was sitting down and eating, I heard a worker tell another customer, "Yeah, let us know if you wanna sample or try anything before you buy it" I wasn't given this type of customer service when I was up at the counter. Nope, we're not going back to China Bull Express, especially not to the newest location in Pantego, TX. Here are the reasons: 1. The serving sizes, in direct contrast to the various ads being run on social media, are NOWHERE near as large as we were led to believe. 2. Lousy customer service. Last week was our second, and sadly, our final visit. Servers were rude and extremely pushy. Instead of helping us decide on our menu items, they continued to demand what we wanted, despite our obvious indecision. I don't care how good the food tastes, or how affordable the prices are, if you run deceptive ads, or provide poor service, we're not returning. No, when it comes to Chinese takeout, we'll stick to our go-to of Skillman Wok. As the old adage goes: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me". read more

Definitely recommend this place!! So much food for your buck. The meat was flavorful and fresh. The noodles were soft. The veggies weren't rock hard. The steamed dumplings were so soft but well cooked. The smoothies were good too - perfect way to end the meal. We fed 3 adults and a baby for $35. The staff was friendly and even offered samples so we could try different entrees. We'll be back!! read more

Love, love, love this place! Everything was fresh and hot from the eggrolls to the Lo Mein. I ordered combination Lo Mein which was hot, fresh, and well seasoned also I made it spicy which it made it much better for my liking. The eggrolls were pretty good as well nice size and full of filling as well. The service was good the guy that took the order was nice and patient. I don't know how long the place been there but it does look new so hopefully they stay there for awhile. read more

Very small selection. Tried Orange & Hong Kong chicken, butter potatoes, cream cheese ragoon, and spring rolls. The rating is based on the flavor (actually lack thete of) of the food. Orange chicken had a mild orange flavor. It taste more like chicken than orange or spices. Hong Kong chicken was the same as orange chicken, but worh no orange flavor. Rice had absolutely no taste (seasoning/spices) and the noodles were the exact same. The cream cheese ragoon was not the thick creamy texture or taste that is at the buffets, it was more greasy tasting and a very small amount inside. The spring rolls disnt have any flavor unless I dunked them in sauce. The butter potatoes were amazing! Prices were good. But I wont be back. I pay for flavor, not a heavy plate. read more

This place truly surprised me. When I say it was so good it was sooooooo good I loved it and it's #1 for best Chinese food in Arlington!!!!!! The food tasted so fresh and it was dripping with amazing spices and flavor. I can honestly eat the noddles all by themselves they were so good. It was hot and fresh and they give you so much I couldn't finish in one setting but I have more than enough for a late night snack and lunch. The smoothie is amazing as well just like I like it. Saw this place when they were remodeling it in the old Dairy Queen. When I saw what it was I basically figured "oh great, another chinese place." But I saw that they did bourbon chicken in one of the pics and reviews looked good so I decided to give it a try. Actually have been a couple of times, first was bourbon chicken. I remember getting this in the mall food courts back in the day and loving it. The version here is pretty good, but it has the same problem, it can be kind of dry. I got fried rice with it. I still enjoyed it, but with the inherent dryness, doubt I will get it again. I thought the fried rice tasted like everywhere else, which means it was fine. I got an eggroll to check out and while good, pretty sure it was frozen, but the portion size of it was good. Which brings me to the portion sizes. Yes, they are pretty big. I ate maybe half of the bourdon chicken and rice. Then ended up tossing the rest later on. I know people seem to swoon over this kinda thing, but I honestly I don't need more than one meals worth. However, if you like leftovers, or, you can split one meal between two people. I was getting the one meat combo, feels like you get a couple pounds of food, lol. It's a lot. Second time I got the cajun chicken, something I noticed on first visit. This stuff was really good. Not super spicy, which was okay, not overly sweet. Once again it was a lot, but not as much as first visit. I finished off the chicken cause I was starving, but didn't make it through all the rice. I Like this stuff. Prices are right. One meat combo is $10. Cheap. Food seems pretty fresh. Nice people, fast service. Not sure what someone else was talking about but I think there are at least ten or so entree choices. For a fast food, everything ready to serve place like this, that seems like plenty of choices. Both trips I was in and out in less than a few minutes. New place finally opened and we've needed a good Chinese quick serve joint. It's very good. They totally remodeled it and cleaned it up. No DQ remnants. The food line is hot and is in small pans so it gets replenished quickly. Got 2 2item combo plates to go; portions are huge and prices competitive. Mongolian beef is very good and not stringy like many Chinese take out joints. Hong Kong chicken is tender fried chicken with a nice sauce. Orange chicken very good. Just wasn't my cup of tea. I got a #1, Mongolian beef with fried rice. The entree serving had beef, an equal portion of large white onion chunks, and 2 carrot slices. The beef was flavorful, just not much of it. I don't like white onion so that was almost half the entree that I put aside. I would have appreciated more vegetables but looking at their menu later, saw that onions are the primary vegetable used, so for that reason this place is really not for me. The container was quite full and the fried rice was great! They gave me a couple of free spring rolls which were good. I thought that for fast Chinese food, the meal seemed fresher and higher quality than Royal Panda. The value was great, at around $10 so I would recommend based on freshness, quality and value. read more

I had the orange chicken, black pepper chicken, shrimp fried rice and an eggroll. The orange chicken had too much vinegar, the black pepper chicken was dry and tough, I paid $2 extra for the shrimp fried rice and it was very dry and the rice was either undercooked or left over from the day before. The egg roll was the only thing I would go back for, but I can get the same one at Sam's or Costco. read more

We ordered beef, lo mein, and a combination chicken lo mein. Very greasy and the beef was very tough. It was like a low-grade beef.
