This place is the only place in the Greenwich Ave area that has actual Asian flavors. They are also the only place in miles that makes food spicy. Really spicy as you want it not as they think you can tolerate it. I've had all the standard noodle dishes and they are shockingly fast (like under 5 minutes fast). Best Thai Food in Greenwich/Stamford area! I love this place. First the service is fantastic - amazing wait staff and manager! Second, food is great (they are very vegetarian friendly). Third, decor is nice. Food wise - drunken noodles are fantastic (I order it with no fish sauce, extra veggies and tofu, and add brocolli and an extra egg...i also love the mango curry with tofu...in fact all their curries are good but this one especially. The only thing i wish is that like many NYC thai restaurants, I wish they had "faux duck" for vegetarians. read more

The food here is so good I always over eat and then have to workout more the next few days to makeup for it. The food was fantastic. A bit less spicy than you'll usually find in Thailand but this style is what you'll find at most Thai restaurants in America. I had the papaya salad, which was amazing. The green curry was cooked to perfection, though some more heat would've made me a very happy guy. The Tom yoong goong was excellent. First time that I've eaten at Thai Basil and was very happy that I decided to try it. The drunken noodles were very tasty although I wish that they were hotter. Must admit that it was my fault for the milder flavor. It had 3 peppers on the menu but I requested that it be toned down. I guess the Greenwich clientele thinks that 3 stars means very hot. Not. I love Thai Basil! Not only is the food delicious but the service is awesome too! They are all kind and attentive and make me feel right at home each time I come there with friends. I always order the Green Curry Chicken and it's too die for; I eat Gluten Free and never worry when I'm ordering there b/c they know me. The one star is for the fast delivery. That was the only good thing about this place. The food is awful. I ordered pork dumplings, they seemed like they were old and were dry. I also got the Chicken in Peanut Sauce. The chicken was very chewy, the peanut sauce was bland and runny and the vegetables were under cooked. I only ate a few bites before throwing most of it out. Take Out time was good. Food was just OK. I ordered wonton soup, it was full of green veggies - different then use to. The drunken noodle I ordered was so spicy the skin on my lips burned for hours after. Way too much and couldn't enjoy. Pricy for quality does not match. I won't be returning. read more

Food was incredible! Very authentic, staff was amazing and friendly. We stopped at this small restaurant on our way up from Long Island, NY, and it was definitely worth it. She told me that I should have called for curbside service as I parked across the street. I grabbed my food and drove home. Once, I was able to eat the food was great! Tasty, savory Thai food -- consistently delicious -- lots ginger, garlic, lemon grass flavor! Our favorites are the duck spring rolls, Twin Lemon Grass Shrimp & Chicken, Green Curry Chicken and Mango Chicken. We usually have it delivered and the call-in order is always received quickly and efficiently. We are so lucky to have them nearby to call on for a rewarding dinner at the end of the week. So -- an update -- I recently called the restaurant for a takeout as I have done a number of times (in addition to eating in the restaurant at least once a week over the past few months). I was immediately subjected to a lecture from whoever answered the phone about how I didn't tip the driver the last time. I said I always tip drivers and tip well in the restaurant (both true) and that I am a very good customer. She kept going. I said perhaps I forgot one time (?) but she really shouldn't be talking to me about this. Didn't stop, wanted to prove the point. I even gave her some advice about how to manage customers (I have clients myself). She kept going. Needless to say, I didn't complete my order. Nestled in Greenwich, CT just a mere 15 minutes from my home is this delicious establishment. More than reasonable priced for its neighborhood. The staff were more friendly without being even remotely hovering or pushy. Service of beverages was quick, followed by appetizers. You had the right amount of time to enjoy your appetizers before your main course was presented. The food was served at the perfect temperature and was full of flavor- neither under-spiced nor over-spiced. The ingredients were fresh (we enjoyed veggies, chicken and an array of seafood). Overpriced for mediocre food. Ordered online and waited 15 minutes for the confirmation email, but nothing so I called the restaurant to confirm they actually received my order. The person who picked up took my information and put me on hold to look into it. A few minutes of holding and another person picks up and says "Can I help you" so I have to repeat the whole story. They finally locate my order and tell me to come pick up my order in 20 minutes. My order was ready when I got there but the red curry I ordered was nothing like as described in their menu - bamboo shoot, eggplant, bell pepper and basil. I got No bamboo shoot or eggplant. I did get plenty of chicken, actually too much to compensate for the lack of everything else, snow peas and three slivers of red pepper. I also ordered Crystal shrimp roll with 1 very thin piece of shrimp. Also I got brown rice instead of the default white which is what I wanted. Overall the food was mediocre but definitely not worth $45.90. Extremely disappointed. read more

Best Thai in Fairfield county. At first glance the menu seems a little limited until you realize that most dishes can be had with any of four or five different proteins, tofu is my favorite here, but if you want vegetarian you should specify since many tofu dishes also have fish in them. read more

I drove all the way from Ramsey NJ to this place about 38 miles. Not a big deal for me to do that for good food. We choose this place as it was recommended by a friend. Wife and I both love spicy foods and especially Thai. We have been to plenty of Thai restaurants in the area and in NYC. The service was great, and the people working there were very nice, but the food was OK not that great authentic taste I'm used to. We ordered the Tom Yum Goong , this was So So Green Papaya Salad , this was excellent Red curry Beef, the beef was a bit rubbery Pad Thai Chicken Noodles, this was way too sweet Green Goddess spicy steamed fish, was not spicy at all and a bit over done. Over all, I guess So So, I have had better. May be the tastes have been modified to please the local crowd. read more

The food is really good here. Some of the better Thai in the area. They have a lot of great sounding entrees. We tried Pad Thai, drunken noodles and the beef salad in there most recently. What can I say. We love our noodles! They are very accommodating. I like spice, the wife doesn't. They adjusted her dish perfectly.
