Wow this place is great. Fast service and great food. I'm happy this place upgraded their to-go boxes from styrofoam to the black plastic containers. Most restaurants are starting to carry these. I always order the chicken fried rice with fried egg. Now here is the reason this place gets a 5 STAR. I have had eggs in different ways: boiled, scrambled, poached, sunny-side up, over easy, fried, etc. but never have I had a deep fried over easy egg. I don't know if that is already common but that was my first and I am definitely coming back for the egg. read more

My boyfriend and I ordered food from Thai 2 Go for the first time last night and we will never be eating there again. My boyfriend bit into a huge piece of plastic while taking a bite of his spring roll. We were absolutely disgusted. I called the restaurant and their remediation was to give us 15% off of our next order. After discussing further, they agreed to refund the approximate $5 for the spring rolls. Menu is not on a board for everyone to read, like most to go places do, instead they like to make it difficult and have you hunt for a foldable paper menu from somewhere near the order counter. Strike two. I ordered the Thai2Go Curry (thinking that the house special is the way to go). I got a mess of veggies and my choice of meat piled into a small bowl that is low on liquid (the Curry I assume), with the prerequisite mound of rice on a separate bowl. Veggies were cooked ok, but no curry liquid in sight. OK, found the liquid half way down my bowl of veggies. I paid $8 for raw-ish veggies and meat. Hmmm! Skip it, go to Jimmy Johns next door if you can't get to Thai lotus nearby on Cedar Springs. read more

I ordered the green curry to go and when I opened the container you couldnt even scoop any curry bc there was literally not enough liquid. There were about 5 tiny slices of chicken and a ton of bell peppers. This was for a full priced entree at $10, talk about skimping.... Today was my first day back here in Dallas and in the rush of unpacking all of my things after being gone for three months, there was no way I could be bothered going to the store or to get something to eat. I'm always down for trying to new delivery places, so after a quick Yelp search, I discovered Thai2Go. The whole menu sounded awesome, but I eventually decided on a dumpling appetizer and the Panang Pla, grilled fish topped with their homemade curry. Both were awesome - but I do have one little gripe. The fish (which was delicious) was in a bath of the curry sauce, along with red and green bell peppers. Bell peppers are the one vegetable I'm not crazy about, and it doesn't mention them on the menu. Regardless, the fish was delicious and the bell peppers weren't too overpowering of the yummy curry. Dumplings had a crispy skin, great filling and were served with their homemade soy sauce, which was awesome. I'd buy that stuff by the bottle if I could. Definitely the best Thai delivery around, and totally respectable Thai in any competition. read more

I'm loving Thai 2 Go. A friend brought me here for lunch several weeks ago and I've been coming back almost every week since. The place is not that large, but bright and open. I'd recommend getting there a little head of the lunch crowd. Otherwise, by noon time, there's a line to the door and they cook to order, so it can take up to 20 minutes to get your order. But if you have the time it's worth the wait. They cook everything to order and using fresh ingredients and spices, so everything has really great flavors! The Green Curry is awesome! I generally order this with chicken which has been great. On the heat level, I usually go with a seven, spicy, but not overpowering for me. The Thai Fried Rice is another one of my favorites. I've had it with both chicken and beef. Definitely one of my favorite Fried Rice dishes from any restaurant I've visited. Once again, you can get the spicy level you prefer. The Basil Chili Noodles are remarkable. The fresh vegetables with the garlic chili sauce is heavenly. Awesome Thai where you get the spice level you'd prefer and fresh...I'm loving it. read more

I've ordered delivery here several times and dined in as well for lunch and dinner since I live and work less than a few miles away. I can tell you now the wait time for delivery is MUCH longer. I have to start calling even before the kitchen is open at 10:30 to get my food delivered by 11:30 or else I'm screwed and won't get to eat til close to 1. Thai 2 go is excellent for very common dishes like pad Thai, fried rice and tom yum soup. It is not however a place to order pad see iew, noodle soups or other authentic Thai dishes. I found those to be a little on the plain side and the noodles they use in the soups are the same noodles they use in stir fry which is odd. As far as dining in, Thai 2 go is fairly small with light decor in bright green and black colors. The staff is always friendly and very accommodating. This is a decent lunch spot if you work/live around the area. read more

Great little Thai place that delivers! This is not by any stretch the best Thai I have ever had, but it IS one of the better Thai restaurants I have visited in Dallas and is by far the best that delivers. I judge a Thai place by their Pad Thai - a staple that every place should be able to do right. This is very good Pad Thai - not oily, fresh veggies, and the perfect balance of sour and sweet with just a touch of hot. The green curry was good as well - the chicken was very tender, and the veggies were fresh and still a little crisp, though I like a greater variety of veggies in general. If you like your Thai on the hotter side, you'll need to specify, as the default here is pretty mild. This is definitely a must try if you live in the delivery area (less greasy than Thai Lotus) and has become my fave lunch spot for weekday lunches, since they are located less than 5 minutes from work... and they even deliver to my desk for those days when you just can't get away. Found this place through Restaurant.com and decided to try it out since it isn't that far away from where we live. This is clearly more of a take-out restaurant, but still ok to stay and eat your food there. The service was the problem with this restaurant...the one woman at the counter seemed uninterested in being friendly and helpful and they brought one of our entrees out before our appetizers - what??? Ordered for a lunch meeting and it was not a good experience overall. 1) My company orders from them all the time and they deliver; it was MY first time ordering from them, so I called this morning to confirm and was told that yes, they do deliver to my company's headquarters. However, when we placed the order around lunch, they said it's too far and that they don't deliver here. We are a large company who orders from them often, so this was a surprise to hear. However, we had already gathered orders from 6 people and didn't have time to switch, so we ended up having to send someone out to pick this up. (When we got there, they explained that they only have 1 driver right now, so they don't deliver during peak times. But they did NOT tell us that when we called the first time; if you're a company that offers "delivery" as a service, then that should mean delivery is always available. Peak times are the same every day; there's always going to be a lunch rush, so any restaurant should be able to plan for this adequately. 2) We provided them with names for every dish hoping they would write them on the lids. They didn't; instead, they wrote the item number from the menu (e.g. "E9", "S6", "F1", etc.). So when we got back with the food, we had to take even more time to open up the menu, look up the name for each dish number, then cross-reference with what everyone had sent us for their orders. It was not set up well. 3) Just as a final point of confusion, there was one little tub of sauce/dressing in the bag, but we had no idea who it was for or what dish it went with because it wasn't labeled at all. All in all, the process felt disjointed and like there was very little attention put in to the experience of the customers ordering. It did not make our lives easier and in retrospect we would have been better off eating here at the cafeteria or just having them cater. read more

Lunch rush is crazy!!! I ordered ahead ,on line. Made for a quick pickup. The food is always great. The Thai tea is to sweet. Just my opinion... most people probably like it like that. They aren't really personable when you walk in. It's very rushed and just get the job done. Which isn't bad I just like to be greeted. I can understand when things are a bit crazy you get overwhelmed ,no time for pleasantries. The coconut soup was full and robust with flavor. I ordered the veggie which was loaded with all the vegetables. Non spicy but they included a small container with the additional spice for heat. They didn't give any rice... I guess I should have ordered some. I like to add rice with my soup. Next time I'll know. Very good overall! read more

The food here is delicious. The service is satisfactory. Some of the staff come off as abrasive and harried, almost as if annoyed with having to deal with customers. The pad thai is delicious. However, I don't suggest ordering to go, if you can help it. The dine-in portions are much larger, especially since they use a two-compartment container for to-go orders. You're cheated out of a lot of food this way. Try the sweet sticky coconut rice. Pass on the basil rice and the satay, as their peanut dipping sauce is the consistency of water. The meat mixture for the lettuce wraps is sub-par. The manager, Siam, is the only redeeming crew member. Great customer service. read more

Very pleased with this Thai restaurant! I used to live within walking distance (what i saved in gas went right to the food costs) and ate there frequently. They are very speedy and have the food ready within 10-15 min tops. The pineapple fried rice and basil fried rice are my favorite. The basil noodle dish was also good- but be careful as the spiciness can shock you. Whenever they ask "on a scale of 1-4 how spicy" I always say 2, as its usually spicier than we expect. My fiance loves the pad thai, as i'm sure a lot of people do. My biggest disappointment is how expensive it is for 2 people- even just taking it to go. Two dishes will easier run us at least $20. Granted, the food is very good... I like to keep the price point around $15 at most for fast food if possible. read more

Late lunch at what turned out to be the closest Thai restaurant to my office. Had a laksa size bowl of Tom Kha Gai (chicken) soup with rice noodles. And a side of Thai ice coffee. The food was decent and the Thai coffee had that authentic taste I always look for. The restaurant is in a new building with simple but contemporary European decor. Overall experience was good. When I called on the phone to ask what the specials were previously someone answered and said, "It's what they always are." - RUDE I ordered a cashew chicken and a basil chicken meal. Max, I believe an owner, is very nice and friendly, but others are not. That's a main reason I stopped going there. UPDATE for 2012: In my previous review, i had given Thai2Go only 3 stars because of their lack of knowledge of gluten-free options. However, I'm so so HAPPY to report that they've made improvements in this area =) !! They now offer a special gluten-free sauce for their stir-fry options and are much more knowledgeable about which dishes are gfree and which aren't! By the way the taste is still just as fantastic! Great food, quick as lightning delivery-took them exactly 10 minutes (yes, I counted: 598 seconds) from the minute I put down the phone after my order and them arriving with my hot food at my doorstep. Granted they are not more than a mile and half away from where I work, but whoosh! I had the basil chili noodles with tofu, and it was tasty, hot and just right with the spices. The veggies were well cooked and it was not too oily either. I also liked the quantity-neither too much nor too little. I think its the best Thai place in the area. This restaurant offered delivery at the Dallas Market Center during a large trade show which was a huge convenience. They have a lot of traditional Thai items on their menu, the food was good and prices were very reasonable. I ordered from here twice during the span of 5 days, both times the driver quickly delivered and the food was much better than anything they offered here in the Market Center. I was very satisfied with the convenience and quality of the food. Staff is also very friendly and easy to talk to on the phone, you can also just submit an order online easily. I had the Pad Thai, and Pad Woon Sen. Both dishes were great in flavor, with generous portions of chicken. Place is decent at best, nothing to rave about here. I ordered the basil fried rice chicken and it was average at best. For seven bucks and change it was sort of what i expected... i think the adage: "you get what you pay for" would be most appropriate here. The chicken was a little iffy, almost a bit funky in smell and taste but certainly not spoiled, but clearly didn't seem too fresh. The rest of the veggies and rice were ok... looked mostly frozen stock though. Instead of fresh chillies which you'd normally see, it was chill flakes that gave the dish the heat. I also usually see ground peanuts on this dish but sadly that too was gone missing. So, for the price it was what it was ... if you're looking for a gourmet thai joint this is clearly not for you. If you seek a quick, cheap, quantity over quality place then this my friend is a hit. read more

I would probably give it a 3.5 star in terms of tastiness. However, for the price in this area of town and the quantity (including veggies and meat) I bumped it up to 4 stars. The price is what you would expect to pay for Thai food anywhere else but uptown Dallas ($8 a dish vs. your $12 and up a dish) I ordered the green curry with chicken, pad thai with tofu, and basil fried rice with chicken for pickup. They told me it would be ready in 20 min. and I came 20 min. later and it was ready 2 go. We ordered the dishes 2.5 to 3 spicy and each dish had a spicy kick to it except for the pad thai. The pad thai could have been a little spicier. In terms of taste, the dishes were WAY better than Wai Wai Kitchen but not as good in flavor as Thai Lotus or Toy's. But you get what you pay for I guess and in terms of Thai for carryout to eat on a normal dinner day, this sufficed. I'm going to try it again in a week or two and if the food is consistent, this will probably be my to go place for carryout Thai food. read more

I like ordering from here. We live really close but the delivery is amazing. We usually did take out but it would take like 25 mins no matter the time. Every time we do delivery it is like 20 mins. The first time at 7 pm on a weekday it took 22 mins from me calling to me walking back into the apartment from getting the food. I like getting the Salad Rolls and the Dumpling (steam). The Salad Rolls are very crisp and evenly dispersed. The dumpling are so flavorful. For a main I like getting the Pad Woon Sen which has a lot of meat, crisp veggies and the noodles are so yum. My boyfriend likes getting the Basil Chicken, now that dish is hot and I don't do hot but he swears by it. The only thing we don't like from there are the Thai Tea and Thai Coffee but we are not sweet people. We like or tea and coffee on the bitter side. Defiantly check this place out read more

Manager sent his delivery guy back to house with a big to-go helping of green curry free of charge and with 10 mins of calling. Food gets a solid 4 because it tastes authentic but curries and soups were a little watered which I'm guessing it's from needing to stretch the food due to high demand but everything from the spring rolls, papaya salad, pad thai were on point. read more

I really wanted to like this place. It only had a $10 delivery minimum... so I was going to plan using it based on my first experience. The Thai Salad (Beef) was a small portion... but the price wasn't that high either, so I can deal with that. I ordered a spice level 3 on that and it was the hottest possible....more like a 4. The beef was way overcooked and I prefer mine a little medium-rare. But, if done properly the marinate should have softened all the steak pieces. My entree I ordered was the pad see eew. I ordered a spice level of 4 and I didn't think it was even close to being the spiciest. The portion was good as well as an even mix veges. I was expecting more.... but I'd like to try the Pad Thai next time after reading other's good marks on that. For this area of Dallas... Thairiffic is hands down still the best, so I'll probably stay true in going there as an ongoing thing. If anyone has any other comparable places, I'd be open with those suggestions. I'm not big on coconut milk based sauces, so most noodle dishes have spicy ones... but not opposed to trying other new things other than coconut mile creations. read more

OK, my first Yelp review! I waltzed in here, having VERY little experience with Thai food but a true love of spicy food, and ordered the Thai Style Fried Rice and asked for Hot, EXTRA Hot! The man looked at me skeptically and kindly obliged, warning me that it would be very spicy. I am not disappointed. At all. The food tastes good, has a great mix of flavors, different veggies, and packs a satisfying punch in the heat department. I ordered the thai tea and basil chicken special. Thai tea was sweeter than Hershey chocolate. I wonder what they put in that. I ordered basil chicken as 7/10 hot. in a normal thai restaurant, it would be medium spicy. However it seems like they understood it at 7/5. Also there was practically no chicken in the dish, it was 1 part minced chicken and 1 part chilies over rice. Therefore, my experience was not that great. However, the girl who took the order was nice and warned me about the my order being too chili. read more
