Well, so when my daughter asked for our stepmachine for her birthday, I ran it over to her, as it was practically new because we both had been unable to do see it. She enjoyed it two days and it broke on the tension knob which I thought I might get from the company that made it. I was not able to get through to the company. I thought I would call the store and see if they had anymore, explaining I had given ours to my daughter for her Birthday and it broke. I could not reach the company that manufactures it, and wondered if we could get it replaced. They also had no parts, but would exchange it if I wanted to drive over to Atascadero. It was a great deal and I had time to get it before they closed at 9 pm. They took the broken step machine and I paid the difference of $20 for the newer model they had in stock. Her Birthday present was immediately upgraded! And yes, I will continue to shop at Big Five Stores as I have for 30 years because their customer service continues to be superior. Thank you Mark and staff!

I hopped on the Monterey Sheriff's Department website and saw that Uncle Ed's offers an online course in addition to their in-person classes. I paid for it, started right away, and was pleasantly surprised. It was super informative and nowhere near as dry or monotonous as I expected. I finished the material, passed the online test, and got my certificate. When I contacted them about the live-fire certification, they responded immediately with available dates and let me pick what worked best for my schedule. On the day of the range test, I caught the tail end of their in-person class and was blown away by the difference between Uncle Ed's and the original place I went to. I almost regretted not taking the whole thing in person, but doing it online was a lifesaver for my work schedule. Once class wrapped up, we headed out to the range. Jake went over all the ground rules clearly before we started. During the live-fire test, both Jake and Tracy were incredibly patient, helpful, and friendly. We all had a great time and shared a few laughs. You could tell they genuinely wanted everyone to feel comfortable asking questions without any judgment, and they were truly invested in helping everyone pass. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. I'll definitely be back for my next renewal, and I'm already looking into some of their advanced classes. Huge thanks to Jake and Tracy
