Awesome experience all around! Knowledge guides that actually care about the animals as well. We booked a sloth encounter which is my daughter's favorite animal. It was amazing from start to finish! We'll definitely be back to take advantage of the other tours and experiences they offer. Suggest wearing rain boots as the ground can be muddy. We learned a lot about animals that have always interested us and can't wait to visit again!

I worked here for approximately 2 weeks in 2022 and can tell you the place is terrible. First off, when I worked here the owner has horrible employee conditions. Everyday I was scheduled to arrive at 8AM and the owner knew that it was an hour drive to get to work. With traffic included I usually left home at 6:50 to arrive on time. On the day I quit I was texted at 6:55AM and told I would be opening with another employee at 7AM. She gave 5 minutes notice and expected me to make an hour drive in 5 minutes. She also was continuously toxic to everyone there and would straight up bully everyone there. Second, the animals at this exotic park live in horrible enclosures, bad conditions, and poor diets. This place is the definition of animals in cages. The bears diet was more of a diet for a toddler and consisted of cereal and marshmallows everyday. They even have a Toucan which lived in a cage about the size for a conure. I talked to another employee explaining that they need a lot of room and that the bird looked ill and was clearly visible by the cracking and peeling of his beak. I then said it was most likely diabetes because of the poor diet. Which the other employee responded with "yeah that's really weird we had a previous toucan that died of diabetes." I was also never paid for my time here due to the owner continuously putting off giving me the W-4 forms. I do miss all the animals I got to work with, they were such amazing and impressive animals. It was really a dream job turned into a nightmare. In my review I have also included a picture of 2 adult leopard tortoises and the enclosure they were kept in, as well as the toucan mentioned above.

I had a wonderful time. My tour guide Gwen was wonderful. The wolves, bears, anteaters, sloths, wildcats and monkeys were amazing!! This is a more personal up close experience than you would have at a typical zoo. I'm very glad I went! What an amazing experience! Be sure to get there about 5 to 10 minutes before the appointment time. Bring a large cold drink because you may be in the sun for awhile.

5 stars all around! We had a great time and all were entertained- 2 adults and 2 boys ages 4 and 9. I love how they do guided tours- make sure you check the site and sign up beforehand. It's not a place to just show up to. They are very organized and the limited group feels intimate where you learn a lot from the guide, get to see the animals up close and pet some of them. Some are in enclosures and some roam free! We saw some really cool animals such as porcupines, wolves, pigs, a vulture, monkeys and apes and different exotic cats. Our favorite were the capybaras! They are so cute and one was friendly and loved to be pet. We also got to see them feed some of the animals. It was a super experience and the staff is wonderful. Bonus: they don't try and upsell you with a snack bar or gift shop! It's all about the animals. The tour was very prompt- 90 minutes. I would go again and even look into the parties they do.

This place is fabulous!!!! Who knew that ten minutes away from me would be this amazing place where you can get up close and personal with so many different types of animals. Very responsive to questions via email and booking a tour was a breeze. It started and ended right on time and Gwen was a fantastic guide....so knowledgeable and patient in answering everyone's questions and handling excited little ones. She made everyone feel welcome and it really felt like a VIP zoo tour. Highly recommend this to anyone!! The tour meets at the chained part of the fence with the animals painted on it. Easy peasy parking along said fence and simple to find. Worth driving to even if you live further away than I do. Be ready to pet some animals, learn a lot and have some fun!

We have been to this place several times this year. In February we booked a session called the Reptile Encounter. It was a small group with less than 10 people and you get a lot to know about reptiles - mainly snakes. They take approx 5 out of the habitat and pass them around, you can but you don't have the opportunity to touch them of let them hang around your neck. We have also booked the Basic Tour twice which mainly gives you access to almost all their other animals. You can get pretty close with some of them. We learn more and more every time. You need to book the event you want online - they are always at the same time slots every day of the week. You can see what's available and what the costs are. Due to COVID-19 some of the encounters are currently not offered. They do not do general admission with just showing up. Parking available curbside.

Smile, yes I'm handsome.

Had a wonderful morning at the park taking the tour with Gwen. She was never rushed and encouraged questions. The animals are well keep. We also did the sloth experience which was so cool! Safety is explained early for the sake of the animals and humans and opportunities are available for touching because you know we all want to touch. Gracious host and staff. Highly recommend coming out and visiting.

We had an Absolutely Awesome time with all the Reptiles!! The Kids were so excited to be able to handle and observe so many cool critters!! An Awesome Time was Had and some Great Memories were Made!!

Baby porcupines!

Where do the animals come from? Are they rescues or purchased? My school that I teach at does not support actual "zoos."

I know that a lot of their animals are rescues. They're very good about giving every animal a companion so they don't have to live in solitude, which I'm sure has resulted in some purchases in order to complete the family. I believe some of their…

Initially when we came in, we thought the $26 admission rate allowed us to also interact and feed the animals. However, it was actually an additional $30/person on top of the admission rate to do that. So in total (with taxes/fees), it came to around $130 for two people to get the entire experience of coming in and interacting with/feeding the animals. However for us it was worth it! For anyone looking at the negative reviews of others experiences not being able to interact with animals, perhaps you could consider coming in earlier during the day (we came right when they opened at 10am). We were told by staff that for some animals they are more active in the morning since it's their feeding time and by the afternoon they are already resting/hiding. Within a 1 hour timespan, we were able to interact with the sloth, anteater, capybara/cavy, penguins and birds. There were less people in the morning so I think that also helped. It was overall so much fun!! Being able to come in and see the animals up close was so unique and incredible. Every single staff member we met was also amazing and friendly. They were so knowledgeable and you could tell they really cared about the animals. I also wouldn't take it personally if they didn't allow us to interact with the animals, that's most likely for the animals well being! It's already stressful enough for them to be in that kind of environment! Would highly recommend visiting and paying extra to interact with the animals if you can afford it!

I use my chest carrier but I seen a lot of wagons and strollers. It's a lot of walking, dust, sun and flies so prepare if you traveling with small children. Venders all around with refreshments and it's also an arcade cafe with food and drinks. I wasn't a fan of the pizza but the funnel cake line was in the sun and I have a month old. (Wasn't lol) The party room was basic with tables. You provide everything. Cake, table cover, party bags, drinks and you can buy pizza. I assume a crew member or animal costume person would come out and sing... but no I only went in the aquarium to let my baby see the turtles, sting ray and fish. (Funky) lol. Then we sat in the party til it was over.

I stumbled across this magical place only because we were on our way to check out Old Town Spring. I'm thought, oh a cute little botanical garden, let us stop by. WRONG, 2.5 hours later and I was in complete awe in how beautiful and breathtaking this garden was. So peaceful, so many beautiful different plants, trees, flowers and nature walks. We only saw the botanical garden side and didn't have time to do the other side which was across the road but the garden alone, if truly appreciated, was 2.5 hours to do. We will definitely be back and cannot wait for next month nice the weather is more chill to come back to see the butterflies, cardinals and all kinds of species. From riding a train around the farm to petting goats to running around on a huge playground, this Farm is an all around good time! Pros: Activities: This place is packed with all types of things to do. There are several animals you can pet (Goats, Llamas, chickens, Cow, pony's and many more. There's a train that goes around the whole farm (included in your admission) and you can ride it as much as you want. They have several spots throughout the facility to reserve for birthday parties . There a HUGE mound of sand for the kids to have fun and a big playground. Plenty of places to take great photos! Location: I dread the words "It's off 1960" because this stretch of road has horrible traffic and some spots are not the best areas to be around but this spot is an excellent location. For all my golf folks, Tour 18 is right across the street ‍ Cons: Price: For a family of four (includes a 16 month old) we paid $80.00 plus food for animals for a total of $89.00. I know everything has gone up recently but I was a little blown away by this price. I would've expected a little more animals to pet or even some outdoor games to make up for this amount. Parking: Get here early or you will be parking in the "additional" parking spot which is a mowed field. Nothing against a mowed field but it isnt close so be ready to walk a little. Overall we will come back again this year since our kids had a blast!! If you're in the area give this farm a try.

Old Time Christmas is definitely more on the lesser known side as the crowds are very manageable. As the name implies, this place is a Christmas Tree farm so you'll see rows and rows of christmas trees lined up. We went for their pumpkin patches and they have piles and piles of them located around their farm. Enough for people to get their pics in. They also have a nice playground towards the back where you can let the kids roam free. Their extracurricular rides are $3 a person which is reasonable but they didn't let me get my $3 back when I had an extra unused ticket. Admin fee is $10 per person over 2 years old. I had a pretty good time at Old Time Christmas Tree Farm. Theres not a lot of people, its off the beaten path and prices are reasonable. If you're tired of the price abuse of bigger and more popular farms out there, Old Time Christmas Tree Farm is definitely the way to go.
