5-Star!!! Looking at Membership!! We are absolutely blown away by our experience at 7 Acre Wood! As small business owners, we know what it's like to get unfair reviews--and honestly, we're not sure what people could possibly complain about here. Everything was so well-maintained, from the grounds to the animal enclosures, and the entire place had a warm, welcoming feel. Every animal was friendly, approachable, and clearly used to kind human interaction. Our kids (6-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl) were able to pet and spend quality time with all of them--which is something you don't get at most places. The putt-putt course was a fun bonus, and the playground looked brand new--better than what you'd see at most parks! We stayed for 5 full hours, and not once did the kids get bored. Even in 95-degree heat, there was plenty of shade and a nice breeze, making it very tolerable. The staff was amazing, and a young man named Cameron stood out--super friendly and helpful when we asked about the male tortoises (which were incredible to see up close). We also noticed multiple people working to keep everything clean and cared for the entire time we were there. On top of all that, the food prices were shockingly affordable, which made it even more enjoyable. We left grateful, refreshed, and already planning our next visit. Great place to take your kids. There's a petting and feeding area. They have lots of goats, sheep, a donkey, a llama, some tortoises, a dog and a long horn cattle. There's also a miniature golf, a basketball court, tether ball, soccer field. They have a large checkerboard and chessboard, large Jenga and plenty of swings and a playground. There's also a sand pit, tricycle track, zip line, an abandoned boat and a Lego and chalk room. So much space for kids to run around and keep them occupied. They also sale sandwiches and snacks if you wish to spend the whole day there. Oh can't forget the pony rides, train ride and tractor ride. Super fun place for children read more

This was a great little petting zoo/park playground but I did find some concerning things while being there. While being inside the petting zoo, I noticed that the cattle dog they have can barely walk. Her dewclaws were extremely overgrown and poking into the paws on the bottom of her feet, causing her pain to walk and constantly lying down to avoid so. This was an extremely sweet dog and it was sad to see such a lack of care. A lot of the animals don't look extremely well maintained but this was the most alarming issue I noticed. This is a nice place but I hope they can take better care of their animals, especially that sweet dog. :( read more

Overall: Not a bad place to explore, affordable but a bit rundown and could be so much better with an overhaul of a few hundred bucks but we did enjoy it and especially for the price was a good value. Venue: old farm with instagrammy spot in the front. Sandbox which was good for the under 4. Goat feeding available but they acted like they never ate ever so I didn't last more then 20 seconds. Zipline at the very back and swingsets and plgoground that was good minus how darn how it is. Food: Easy dishes, overpriced but could be good, we didn't have any. Why 4 stars? Because it's another option for entertaining our son. --- --- --- Does your place of business keep my 3-year old happy for 1-2 hours? Automatic 4-stars, minimum. That's how it goes these days. As expected from looking at the photos, he mostly just wanted to hang out on the playground. We were hoping to interact more with the animals, but he had other ideas. We fed the various animals for a bit (llamas, goats, sheep, donkeys, ponies, etc), which by the way, were all acting like they'd never eaten before, despite everyone on the farm coming there to feed them. But after maybe 10 minutes, he migrated to the playground area and that was it for the day. He did one pony ride, and one ride in the makeshift tractor cars, but stayed on the playground other than that. But it's a cheap place to take him in the future, even if that's all he wants to do. We can at least see the animals from afar, even if our son just wants to go down the same slide 458 times and call it a day. read more

Friendly staff, very helpful. my kid had an amazing time ran around the entire place, which if you can't tell by the name is gigantic. I will return, and return and tell everyone I know about what a memorable time we had. So long story short, if you have small children with tons of energy whom love animals and getting dirty- give it a try. If anything for the benefit of a good night sleep for them plus some extra down time in the evening for the parents isn't anything to complain about! read more

Came here for home school day with the kiddo, and I must say it was a pleasant and peaceful experience. It was nice just to get away from all the noise and traffic of the city, and be somewhere kids (or adults) could just run and be free. It wasn't crowded, ample parking and not super expensive. I could tell the place has probably seen better days, but I still appreciated a nice place to retreat for some peace and quiet. My son did not want to leave as he enjoyed playing with the farm animals in the petting zoo. There was such a variety, and the animals were calm natured, so quite nice to get so up close to them. There was one main runner the farmhand had to keep watch over as he secretly and strategically kept planning his escape. Lol. Who knew goats were so smart! But definitely a fun sight to see. There were also bench areas to sit and chill or eat lunch. They also sold snacks onsite as well. In different areas of the farm there were various games kids could play such as soccer, basketball (we even did a little 1on1), a playground, and a mini zip line as well. If 3.5 was an option I would go with that. I feel like this place has potential for sure. It's really inexpensive and I'm rating it based on what it is and not what it could be. If your grandparents created your dream backyard as a kid, this would be it. There are tons of cute animals and lots of playground/imagination areas. Pony rides and barrel rides. Our kids loved it. It was approximately 10,000 degrees so we only lasted an hour and a half. I could see spending a lot longer on a cooler day. It's a bit run down, it's outdoors in the Texas heat so that's to be expected. The putt putt area is strange and next to impossible to play as it's slippery concrete and needs tons of repairs. The kids ( both goats and human kids) roaming around it didn't seem to mind. Feeding the animals was a highlight and our 1.5 year old loved the new playground equipment. If I lived near I could totally see having an annual pass. I did end up with some fire ant bites, hopefully they stay on top of that because it would have been awful if one of my kids stepped in them. read more

I came here on a school field trip with my students. I really didn't know what to expect, but this place didn't disappoint. If you're wondering what this establishment is, let me put it simply: it's a "small" farm with multiple activities. Farm animals include a duck, tortoise, llamas, ponies, goats, and a Highland cow. I'm not sure where they are kept, but I believe there may be some chickens around too because I saw one of the staff bring out a cute little chick for some of the kids to play with. You can pet and feed a majority of the animals and pony rides are available for children under 100 pounds. There are also two playgrounds, miniature golf course, a small basketball court, an area to play soccer, and a cute shed with toys and blocks. The bathrooms were nice and clean. 7 Acre Wood also has a nice snack bar with plenty of food items to choose from (pickles, pickle pops, homemade rice crispies, etc.). I think this place is super fun and you're hearing this from an older kid. it may seem run down but I think the run down goes with the theme of the place it's like a old farmhouse. It may be $30 but it's w the money. I had so much fun here and I really enjoyed the time. I was there for 2 hours cause there is just so much to do. the only you may want to watch out for is spiders, animal poop, and the heat. When I got there it was so hot and there is a lot of area to get out of the heat. I think my favorite thing there is little car road there is little scooter seats that you have to use your feet to move and you drive on the fake road and there is like stop sig and speed sign. If I could zero stars I would. I was extremely disappointed with the customer service all around. We were told our toddler daughter would be able to enjoy all the amenities with adult supervision therefore we bought the all inclusive package for adults and children. When loading up for the train ride my wife and daughter were sharing the same cart as my daughter is too young and small to be in the cart on her own. Once doing so they informed us that this was not allowed and that my one year old daughter would have to ride by herself which is extremely unsafe in our eyes. Everything is pretty run down, there was trash inside the little play houses. The animals were disturbing to watch, the male goats were trying to mate with the females and the females we're trying to hide and run the entire time we were there. I was extremely disappointed in our experience. We called and asked if parents could ride the train with their toddler and they told us we could buy the parent/child fall package and enjoy all the amenities. When my daughter and I got on the train ride we were told we couldn't ride together. It wouldn't be safe for a 1 year old to ride by themselves without a seat belt. We spoke to management and they handled this situation very unprofessionally. Mixed feelings about this experience. The kids all had fun with the animals and the rides and over all the day was decent. Jed was very kinda nd and helpful. The place was virtually empty which was nice as there weren't lines and crowds, I'm guessing it's because the day was cold and drizzly. Where the experience took a turn south was when we broke for lunch. Of the 6 or 7 families at the place at the time we were the only ones breaking for an early lunch. We had made some PB&J sandwiches and were about to eat them when the guy who mans the front desk kicked us out from under their roof. I completely understand the rule, they don't allow outside food to use that space. Under normal circumstances, at lunch time with a full park and limited seating, it makes perfect sense! We were the only people there! Not that 7 acre reads this or cares but perhaps a better approach to this type of scenario would be. " under normal circumstances we reserve this area for people that buy their food from our shop. However, since there is no one else here and it's cold and drizzly outside, I'll make an exception for you. Thank you for coming to see us." I get the rule, I don't get the poor customer service. We had already paid for 8 people to get in, had already paid for 4 pony rides and 4 barrel rides, so it's not like we drove up and wanted to use their tables for lunch! I don't know if they are the only show in town but I won't take my family back... I know this will not affect them at all, my sporadic patronage is quite insignificant financially. They were all very rude except for the lady that was at the window. We were advice to buy the inclusive package and weren't told of any restrictions. What an utter disappointment. Even after reading the reviews, we decided to give it a chance. This place is run down and as my husband said, "a dump!" Within 15 minutes of getting there, four bus loads of kids showed up and it became impossible for our grandsons to even get to play on anything. Went to the Halloween event with a few children and and the entire place runs on small staff. Our group made it back to the zip line and the little boy we were with was next. Standing on the platform, waiting for the pulley to be handed to him, was slammed in the face instead by an adult parent of the child that went before. The pulley is a big metal piece on a rope that is attached to another rope that slides to the other since when propelled. The little boy was hit so hard in the face it swelled up to the size of a baseball instantly and I thought that either his eyesocket or his cheekbone was shattered. There were NO EMPLOYEES anywhere near this ride and the adult that slung it came running over apologizing for throwing it too hard. Going back to the front of the event there was NO PARAMEDIC OR NURSE ON DUTY even with over a hundred kids coming through the gate every thirty minutes at a bare minimum. The line going in was as slow moving as the line to get out and parking down the road was solid going for more than one mile. The owners daughter, a young lady, was standing inside a building that would be considered first aid and we approached her. I asked if there was a manager there and she said her dad was there. Ultimately she told me her dad is the owner and when he came over and was told about the incident he acted like he was not at all interested and it wasn't his problem. He wasn't even comforting or sympathetic to the child who was sitting right in front of him with a huge swollen face. I looked at him and said, " don't you have insurance?" He rattled off some excuses and I told him he should cover the doctor visit because obviously the little boy is badly injured. He had beer breath. He said he would take our number down and then walked away. He never came back! I walked down to the covered shopping area and saw him standing in the kitchen calmly talking to a cook and I yelled at him. Knowing this little boy was in excruciating pain he was talking to someone instead of taking care of his business. I made him give me his information and I took a short video of the little boys face. I censor a shot to protect his privacy and post the image here. The owner of this place is a bum that's too cheap to hire extra help to cover the property and ensure the safety of the guests. He has a bad attitude and was drinking and could have been intoxicated. Showing no care or concern for this situation where the paramedics should have been on site or called, never was. This entire event wasn't worth 2.00 worth of free candy that was the hook. Just awful and stay away from this place. Any person who has no sympathy for a badly injured child doesn't deserve your hard earned money. read more

FANTASTIC place to spend the day!! They had newborn baby goats, as in born the same day we were there! That alone was a reason to go. I read several reviews that said it was run down and I think they're very wrong. It's a little farm and petting zoo. It's outside. Of course things aren't shiny and all brand new. But everything was clean, in working order and every activity had all the pieces needed. We played outdoor chess, played on swings, playgrounds, a new zip line, basketball, soccer, big legos, toddler cars and more. We spent 3.5 hours there and my kids still didn't want to leave. Probably won't be back, I got some groupons and came here. There wasn't barely anyone else here. My 4 year old needed to pre and when we went inside there was 2 wasps that almost stung us she was terrified and started crying and almost wet herself. Daughter was terrified of the animals.
