We signed up our daughter for the water sprites and also took baby and me class with our younger child. We saw a vast improvement in my daughter's abilities in the three week summer class. She will take water sprites one more time then move to level 1. We took a baby and me class when she was 3 and it made her terrified of the water. The teacher told us to force our child under the water whereas the baby classes here say "when they are ready" My daughter also took a woodlands township class for double the cost and didn't do much and it was just four days. I love that the conroe classes teach some water safety and have them go off the diving board with the life jackets. My daughter's water sprites teacher was very communicative and told me what level she would need to be in and why. BUT I asked her because I wanted to know what class to put her in next. Her teacher was also very positive and straightforward which I think is great for kids learning to swim. My daughter was ready this year and had been practising all year long and was really really excited about learning to swim so she might have just been ready this year. The baby classes were great too and I saw a huge improvement in my son and his comfort in the water. His attention span is short and would become fussy after 15m but that's not the teacher's fault. There are lots of younger kids working here but there is in woodlands township too. I felt like the people working here were a vast improvement in the way they teach compared to township. I've not used the recreation center so have no information on that.

The weather was perfect. There were roughly 25-30 attendees. My littles were thrilled to be here. Naturally, I kept a close eye on them to ensure they didn't run all over creation! I can't say the same for other people - a child (roughly 10yrs old) almost drowned. The Youth lifeguard on duty in that area sat there and watched the child struggle instead of springing into actions. Thankfully, the event coordinator replaced him with another lifeguard The party host requested he be removed from the event. This gave everyone quite a scare. Let's discuss the slides - I think my husband and I were the only ones who went down the slides. We're such big kids. They were fun. The kids play area also had two waterslides which my girls have thoroughly enjoyed. This one is they've never been to a waterpark before. So this was their first experience and they had a lovely time.

The instructors are awesome as they are personable, but professional. Either sign up for one class or buy a full month's class. Aside from the classes, I am able to access the gym with enough equipment to use and not having to wait. The place is clean, plenty of shower stalls/daily lockers to use and finally, the front desk staff are helpful. I've already brought a couple of my friends here and are encouraging other friends to join.

Facilties are great: kids center, racketball courts 3, I believe, family/media type room where you can work, decent sized gym. We have used this location for classes for our kids and have been happy. It's clean and has no issues but parking, and if you take 5 min to wait, you'll get a spot. I think this place is a great value.And for thirty bucks a month, you get an awful lot, including pool access. The price also decreases, the longer you by the membership. You would come in, pick your site, let the ranger station know and you were done. Now, since a couple months ago, they changed it to where "a computer" would pick your site for your, which would be good if all the sites were the same, but they definitely are not! Some sites are paved, some are rock, some long or short, some easy to get into, some not. They basically took your choice away! Before, if you got here and all the "good" sites were taken, that's the luck of the draw. Both times since they changed to this I've had to ask to change the site, first time, I couldn't get into the site if I wanted to. Second time they put us in a site we definitely did not want. Now, they put up a sign no drinks in the edge of the pool, no exceptions! A lot of people go to the pool, stand at the side, drink whatever it is, chill and have a good time. So now that choice has been taken away. I can understand glass containers, glass and pools don't mix, so punish those people! We have loved this place for years, but it's getting to where we don't like coming here anymore. Some of the employees are nice, some not so much. Some of the employees seem extremely lazy and are just here to talk and play. Mean while, the speed limit is 5 mph, I've seen people doing I think around 25 or 30. People have their kids and dogs walking around the park and I haven't seen much to stop that. But standing around the pool drinking whatever and having a good time, the managers said shut it down! I really don't know what's happening here. Just think hard before buying a membership. The memberships can cost thousands of dollars and they can make changes anytime, whether you like it or not, and you either have to deal with it or get rid of it. They don't care what you think! The entire area is fenced in and there is a large covered shaded area for the pet parents to sit and stay cool. There are also benches throughout the park if you would like to sit and get some sun. The main park also has a pool and other recreational activities. I use the back recycling area often. They make it super convenient for you by placing signs on each large bin with what is accepted and what is not. They are usually open on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

I also appreciate that there are lots of lifeguards on duty, which makes it feel safe for families with kids. The biggest downside is that it gets crowded very quickly, especially on weekends and holidays. While there is a good amount of shade, there still isn't enough for everyone once the crowds arrive, and you'll definitely run into a few "shade hoggers" who claim large areas early in the day. If having a shaded spot is important to you, plan to arrive early. Overall, it's a great value and a fun place for families--I just wish there was a little more room to spread out during peak times.
