There is a water front too and people were fishing and a whole lot of ducks were on their evening flying routine..... Its a small park, with considerable parking. Its adjacent to the Boat House, so that is another sport to engage in with family or friends. You can even bring your own paddle boats. A Happy Park overall.

They have a sand volleyball court. Lots of walking trails. Even behind the trees where a retention pond is. They have covered pavilions with picnic tables and bbq pits. FYI: the trail is paved and stroller accessible. On the way back, we took another trail which was dirt and had no issue taking the stroller on that as well. Nice playground for kids. There are bathrooms just past the playground. I initially thought they were closed because the gate had the lock still on it (in a locked position) but luckily, someone advised me that they were actually open. So, don't go by appearances and actually tug on the door! There are two relatively small parking lots that fill up quickly but there is also street parking available.

The worst part is I guess they kick people out every few minutes for 10 minute intervals while they take a break?!?!? How does that even make sense, like do they not have enough staff. Even worst is they kick everyone out accept certain people. Honestly don't waste your time and money, we came back in 2012 and the staff was nicer, pricing wasn't stupid ridiculous, place looked cleaner, I guess with time they stopped caring. They have kiddie pools you can fill up with water, over by the hose to the side. There is a fire hydrant that mists water when you press down on the button. There are benches/places to sit throughout the park, with the largest being the gazebo at the front, near the fence. If you ever want to host some sort of puppy gathering, this would be the place to do it. Plenty of room!

The playground areas are especially great for families because there are several scattered throughout the park, so it never feels overly crowded. It's a great spot for a weekend walk, letting the kids burn off some energy, or just getting some fresh air. The park is generally well maintained and there's plenty of room to spread out. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can get pretty busy on nice days and parking near the playgrounds fills up fast. But overall, it's definitely one of the better parks in the area and worth the visit.

Lots of giant trees where squirrels like to play hide and seek with the dogs. Only down side is there's just one water fountain towards the front and then a couple faucets where folks bring dog bowls to put out for the dogs. There's a couple of wash stations outside of the dog park which comes in handy.
