I worked here for approximately 2 weeks in 2022 and can tell you the place is terrible. First off, when I worked here the owner has horrible employee conditions. Everyday I was scheduled to arrive at 8AM and the owner knew that it was an hour drive to get to work. With traffic included I usually left home at 6:50 to arrive on time. On the day I quit I was texted at 6:55AM and told I would be opening with another employee at 7AM. She gave 5 minutes notice and expected me to make an hour drive in 5 minutes. She also was continuously toxic to everyone there and would straight up bully everyone there. Second, the animals at this exotic park live in horrible enclosures, bad conditions, and poor diets. This place is the definition of animals in cages. The bears diet was more of a diet for a toddler and consisted of cereal and marshmallows everyday. They even have a Toucan which lived in a cage about the size for a conure. I talked to another employee explaining that they need a lot of room and that the bird looked ill and was clearly visible by the cracking and peeling of his beak. I then said it was most likely diabetes because of the poor diet. Which the other employee responded with "yeah that's really weird we had a previous toucan that died of diabetes." I was also never paid for my time here due to the owner continuously putting off giving me the W-4 forms. I do miss all the animals I got to work with, they were such amazing and impressive animals. It was really a dream job turned into a nightmare. In my review I have also included a picture of 2 adult leopard tortoises and the enclosure they were kept in, as well as the toucan mentioned above.

Awesome experience all around! Knowledge guides that actually care about the animals as well. We booked a sloth encounter which is my daughter's favorite animal. It was amazing from start to finish! We'll definitely be back to take advantage of the other tours and experiences they offer. Suggest wearing rain boots as the ground can be muddy. We learned a lot about animals that have always interested us and can't wait to visit again!

I had a wonderful time. My tour guide Gwen was wonderful. The wolves, bears, anteaters, sloths, wildcats and monkeys were amazing!! This is a more personal up close experience than you would have at a typical zoo. I'm very glad I went! What an amazing experience! Be sure to get there about 5 to 10 minutes before the appointment time. Bring a large cold drink because you may be in the sun for awhile.

5 stars all around! We had a great time and all were entertained- 2 adults and 2 boys ages 4 and 9. I love how they do guided tours- make sure you check the site and sign up beforehand. It's not a place to just show up to. They are very organized and the limited group feels intimate where you learn a lot from the guide, get to see the animals up close and pet some of them. Some are in enclosures and some roam free! We saw some really cool animals such as porcupines, wolves, pigs, a vulture, monkeys and apes and different exotic cats. Our favorite were the capybaras! They are so cute and one was friendly and loved to be pet. We also got to see them feed some of the animals. It was a super experience and the staff is wonderful. Bonus: they don't try and upsell you with a snack bar or gift shop! It's all about the animals. The tour was very prompt- 90 minutes. I would go again and even look into the parties they do.

This place is fabulous!!!! Who knew that ten minutes away from me would be this amazing place where you can get up close and personal with so many different types of animals. Very responsive to questions via email and booking a tour was a breeze. It started and ended right on time and Gwen was a fantastic guide....so knowledgeable and patient in answering everyone's questions and handling excited little ones. She made everyone feel welcome and it really felt like a VIP zoo tour. Highly recommend this to anyone!! The tour meets at the chained part of the fence with the animals painted on it. Easy peasy parking along said fence and simple to find. Worth driving to even if you live further away than I do. Be ready to pet some animals, learn a lot and have some fun!

Basic Tour starting at 6.30pm - $ 30.00/person

We have been to this place several times this year. In February we booked a session called the Reptile Encounter. It was a small group with less than 10 people and you get a lot to know about reptiles - mainly snakes. They take approx 5 out of the habitat and pass them around, you can but you don't have the opportunity to touch them of let them hang around your neck. We have also booked the Basic Tour twice which mainly gives you access to almost all their other animals. You can get pretty close with some of them. We learn more and more every time. You need to book the event you want online - they are always at the same time slots every day of the week. You can see what's available and what the costs are. Due to COVID-19 some of the encounters are currently not offered. They do not do general admission with just showing up. Parking available curbside.

Had a wonderful morning at the park taking the tour with Gwen. She was never rushed and encouraged questions. The animals are well keep. We also did the sloth experience which was so cool! Safety is explained early for the sake of the animals and humans and opportunities are available for touching because you know we all want to touch. Gracious host and staff. Highly recommend coming out and visiting.

We had an Absolutely Awesome time with all the Reptiles!! The Kids were so excited to be able to handle and observe so many cool critters!! An Awesome Time was Had and some Great Memories were Made!!

Baby porcupines!

If you're tired of going to the zoo where 80% of the animals are sleeping, this is the place for you! The excellent tour guide often interacts with the animals and gives them treats, so they are extremely active when the tour group comes around, making for a far more fun experience. Just an amazing collection. Hurry if you want to catch the adorable baby porcupines before they grow up! IMPORTANT NOTE: you can't just show up - you have to have reservations through the website.

Where do the animals come from? Are they rescues or purchased? My school that I teach at does not support actual "zoos."

I know that a lot of their animals are rescues. They're very good about giving every animal a companion so they don't have to live in solitude, which I'm sure has resulted in some purchases in order to complete the family. I believe some of their… Read more

There is also a petting zoo with llamas and goats and horses and even giraffes but the kids have usually been more interested in the aquarium and aviary. There have been some changes to the pricing and the play area with all the bouncy houses has drastically changed since we had a membership last year, so I'm not sure if we'll renew. But it is still definitely a place we'll hit up at least once a year!

Depending on what you will be doing, it ranges from 30 to 90 credits. About $3 to $9 depending on how much credit your purchase as they give free credits the more you buy. The koi were huge and hungry. For 30 credits, got to buy some koi food to feed them. The sting rays were fantastic. First time to feed stingrays. Mouth is on the bottom... a staff showed us how to feed them. Learned something new. We got to throw some fish to the otters. Petted lemurs and kangaroo. Went up close to an Asian water monitor lizard. It was big... 8 ft in length. A lot of firsts for us. They also had a camel, giraffe, turtles, different types of lizards, ant eater, baby armadillo, warthog and so much more. We didn't get a chance to interact with the capybara as they were cleaning the cage. We went in a Friday afternoon and wasn't busy. I can see how kids would love the place. Oh yeah, they even had penguins that you can interact with too. Another first. Definitely worth visiting if you like animals.

From riding a train around the farm to petting goats to running around on a huge playground, this Farm is an all around good time! Pros: Activities: This place is packed with all types of things to do. There are several animals you can pet (Goats, Llamas, chickens, Cow, pony's and many more. There's a train that goes around the whole farm (included in your admission) and you can ride it as much as you want. They have several spots throughout the facility to reserve for birthday parties . There a HUGE mound of sand for the kids to have fun and a big playground. Plenty of places to take great photos! Location: I dread the words "It's off 1960" because this stretch of road has horrible traffic and some spots are not the best areas to be around but this spot is an excellent location. For all my golf folks, Tour 18 is right across the street ‍ Cons: Price: For a family of four (includes a 16 month old) we paid $80.00 plus food for animals for a total of $89.00. I know everything has gone up recently but I was a little blown away by this price. I would've expected a little more animals to pet or even some outdoor games to make up for this amount. Parking: Get here early or you will be parking in the "additional" parking spot which is a mowed field. Nothing against a mowed field but it isnt close so be ready to walk a little. Overall we will come back again this year since our kids had a blast!! If you're in the area give this farm a try.
