What a great experience! After having a very sub-par experience with another company who essentially left us at the altar (didn't finish an A/C job after 5 months of our begging), Tony came to the rescue. We called him on a Friday to set up an appointment - first good clue: He actually answered his phone! We set a time for the following Wednesday, but said if he could get to us earlier he could. (Based on past experience with above company, we figured that would be unlikely). Surprise, surprise ... Tony called us on SUNDAY evening, it had been 100 degrees that day - he said "its hot today - I can come by tonight and get you going." WHAT? Sunday? Night? He actually cared that we were hot? 2 hours later, we had A/C running for the first time this summer. Tony is awesome - a great person and very professional. He not only did "the job" - but he took the time to make sure other little details were as they should be, making sure we didn't have any other issues. We had no idea what to expect to pay for all of this - and were again pleasantly surprised, the cost was very reasonable. And he is a really nice guy. We would definitely use Tony again for any related projects/issues, and definitely give him 2 very big thumbs up. read more

Tony and his crew did an amazing job! They installed a new AC unit in my father's rental property and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! Tony is such a sweetheart. He is super nice and has a great personality (he's good looking too but he's married ladies so back off LOL). He listened to what our needs were and his quote was very reasonable. I had 3 different companies come out to give us quotes on the new system and they all came in very close to each other. What sold me was Tony's personality and sense of humor. I would recommend TFF HVAC to anyone who is looking for air conditioning services! read more

This is the 2nd time I have had Tony with TFF come to my rescue. Hi is professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, VERY fair in pricing, on schedule, gives you options and is NOT pushy. He gets the job done! What more could someone ask for? When it comes to heating and air conditioning, Tony with TFF is the BEST. Will I call him again? ABSOLUTELY. p.s. my other review was 8/1/2016 and it was WooHoo 5 Stars too. read more

I feel that this is my responsibility to write my review at yelp as I got Tony's info from yelp too. I wish this can help other people too. Tony came right in time and he found my AC problem promptly. He is supposed to charge me $90/hour although this is a mall issue. But instead $90, he asked for $40 as I guess this is too easy for him. After he fixed the minor issue, he stayed for some time to check up my AC trying to find out if other hidden issues. At the same time, he also explains me the right way we are supposed to use the AC, like changing filter twice every year. He is a nice and kind. I give 5 stars as he is like a friend we can trust. read more

This review is for their service and honesty, not for any work done because we ended up not needing any work on the house. If we do need work done, TFF is who we will call. Heidi was great with correspondences through email. The next morning, Jason from TFF came out for an evaluation. We discussed our 1954 home and he gave us suggestions for making our home safe for heating without doing any actual work on it. Jason was very knowledgeable and nice. If you're looking for an honest, reliable company, call TFF! read more

I contacted Tony for the first time over the phone, and explained that my air conditioning wouldn't start and that my Ecobee unit was non-responsive. He asked to check a couple of simple things (like is it plugged in, turned on, etc). He also asked to me check the fuse on the heater control circuit board. While we talked a little bit, he also explained to me how the power failure could be occurring. Based on what he told me, I was able to find and replace the fuse (which had burned out) on the circuit board. A few minutes after that I was able to get the air-conditioning functional. Kudos and thanks to Tony for being willing to talk to me about my HVAC situation. His demonstrated competence over the phone and his calm demeanor instead of trying to sell me a service call means that he will be on my short list of people to call when I have another HVAC emergency. Thanks again, Tony! read more

This is a really long overdue review for Tony and his team (TFF). He installed a mini-split ductless system in my house, including doing all the ductwork, plumbing and electrical hook ups. He did a fantastic job, it is almost 7 months on and things are running perfectly. The plus points I loved about working with Tony:- - Always on time - He was very reasonably priced compared to the competitors quotes we got - Very accommodating of our schedule and needs - I really like that Tony is the owner and he is there every day leading his team actually doing the work (quite refreshing compared to other owners who just show up at the end to collect the $$). - The city inspector commented that Tony's work was the best he has seen in a very long time, and that it was incredibly tidy. - The system Tony picked out really works well and it is great to have multiple temperature zones in the house. He is a top guy, really nice to work with. That goes for his team too. I honestly cannot think of anything Tony did wrong, I would highly recommend him. Dave and Renee read more

Tony & staff installed a two-stage Carrier's furnace for me. Tony is very professional. Thanks!

Short story: TFF is fast and their price is fair! Long story: Thanks for Tony, Heidi and their team, we finally can have a warm Christmas! Heidi's response is so quick and she answered my every question patiently. Following is the timeline. Dec 19th ~2:00pm, we sent the quote request. Dec 19th ~3:00pm, Heidi replied with the estimation. Dec 19th ~11:00pm, we discussed the details until around 11:00pm! She replied all my concerns and makes sure everything is in the right way! Dec 20th ~1:30pm, Tony and his team showed and started working. Dec 20th ~5:30pm, the new Furnace was installed and working! The house became warm! Dec 20th ~10:00pm, I found they forgot to connect the second stage so I sent another email to Heidi. She replied in 10 mins and promised to send their technician to fix it. Dec 21th ~11:00am, the guy - Rich if my memory is correct - came and figured it out there was one wire needed connecting to the thermostat and fixed it in 10 mins. Now, everything is good, house is warm and we are so happy :) Thank you guys! read more

Another satisfied customer here! Professional, courteous & reliable service from Tony and his crew. They did a great job installing a new A/C unit including the electrical work. Honest and very competitive pricing (yes, when comparing apples to apples). Tony is a really nice person to deal with, Heidi in the office is also very kind and responsive, and his crew is respectful and hardworking. They do focus on customer satisfaction as their number one priority (vs trying to go the easiest route for the installation) - congratulations for being a great, successful team! read more

The proposal they did was the best I received, New Furnace 7 runs. I was laid up for over a month, when ready for the work, Tony Held the proposal price as originally stated. Despite a busy period they clocked me in and completed everything in one visit. Their field team was professional and courteous. Angel the team lead explained any questions I had. Heidi scheduled the HERS and City inspections which went seamless. The City Inspector commented A "Quality" install. Definitely make a call to Tony and Heidi. Superior work, great price, good communication, around here that's priceless. Thank you Tony, Heidi, Angel. read more

For anyone searching for a great contractor to install your central A/C, Tony should be your choice! After dealing with no A/C for over 17 years, it was time to move forward with this decision, as our weather is heating up earlier, especially in the South Bay. I researched 5 different companies, including Tony, as he was referred from a friend. Although price was a strong consideration, so was service and Yelp reviews. Tony came through with flying colors and I had the system installed on Memorial Day. That's how committed he is and definitely deserves 5 stars! "Cool" Carolyn in San Jose..... read more

My furnace fan was not working anymore and would not turn off even after reaching set temperature. So I called Tony based on the reviews and I'm glad I did, he was able to quickly diagnose the problem and find the correct circuit board for my heater and install it within 20 minutes. My relay on the circuit board was dead so it could not turn on or off the fan. I wear contacts so having the fan on all the time when I used the heater dried out my eyes easily. Tony is friendly and obviously knows his stuff. His prices are standard, $90 minimum for labor, $20 for diagnosis, and $75 for the new circuit board. You get what you pay for, and Tony is highly recommended!! read more

Tony just plain rocks. He got out same day to get the quote. And my AC was fully installed within 24 hours of accepting the quote. He even shaved a few bucks off for "letting" him do it next morning. He's a great, knowledgeable, hard working guy who works with one other guy on installs. They use Carrier (which if you know AC, is the best). I had gotten 9+ quotes from all highly recommended guys in the area (and even brothers of close friends) and Tony was the the cheapest and best value by far. Just tell him Thunder recommended you and it'll be all good. read more

Our AC was not working on our upstairs so I gave TFF a call based on the positive feedback on Yelp. Last year, I had another company come out to tell me I needed a ton of work done for big $$$ that I could not afford at the time. I stuck it out until now and then decided to give someone else a call. Tony from TFF showed up and let me know that I did not need a ton of work but a simple recharging of the Freon. He showed up right when he committed to and called to confirm the time earlier in the day. He was extremely polite, honest, and very fairly priced. I will surely keep his business card for any other HVAC work that I may need on my house in the future and encourage anyone else to give these guys a call. read more

I was need of a heater repair company for my rental property and found TFF HVAC on yelp and decided to give them a try since they were rated at 5 stars. I called and spoke to Tony and he was able to get me an appointment at the time that I needed for the next day. Sean was the specialist that came out to repair the problem with the heater. He was really professional and honest, cool guy. Most importantly he explained everything in detail. Really happy with his service and would defiantly use again in the future. Would highly recommend to anyone. read more

If you have AC issues, I highly recommend TFF. Tony is an honest guy and he knows his stuff. After having another company come and tell us the only option was to install a new unit, Tony came, warned us our unit was old, and had our AC running within an hour. read more

Having our 1920's heating system replaced on our flat-roof home provided it's challenges, but lucky for us Tony and his team were up for the challenges. We also were going to aim for adding cooling. Tony and Heidi are bottom line "Good People"! There are not enough good people now a day in the customer service field, but Tony and Heidi are changing this in there HVAC Company. They return calls and Heidi is super fast at responding to emails. She must work 24/7 next to the computer and when she steps away from the computer she must have her iPhone glued to her. There was not an unanswered question for more than a half a day, with these two. They are very upfront with the pricing and no hidden charges. Tony knows his HVAC. He answered all questions for me and if he did not know an answer he had a factory rep on speed dial to answer the question (he only did not know a few technical issues on a brand of AC he did not normally use at this time). I like a person who can admit he does not know something but has a way to get the answer. I think this is very admirable in Tony, He could give me a B.S. answer but instead he said lets get the rep on the phone and get the exact answer. I am very particular with what I want in the system and had many questions for Tony. I also work for PG&E, so energy conservation was a priority for me and had more questions than the average Joe. All the other reviews are true about the top notch work they do. They did not disappoint me at all. I felt they went above and beyond. They were on time (I think 2 guys even got here earlier and waited for Tony). They were very cleanly and quick at cleaning up any type of mess they made. They even worked with our three little kids in the house, point being that they always made sure things were secure and nothing was left on the ground that kids could get to. I am very particular on how things were done and Tony built everything to code and more. We had our whole new system moved to the attic from the hallway. Tony installed an entire new system. Nothing old was used. We went with a Rheem 95% 2 stage unit and Rheem 16 seer 2 stage AC. So far we love the set up. The workers Gayland (sp) and Mario were awesome, nice guys, always made sure things were done the way I wanted. There were 2 other guys who were great also but I forgot their names. To give you an idea of how particular Tony is to perfection. The worker installed a concentric vent which was installed OK and would have worked fine. Tony said it was not perfect and not to his likings. He had them tear the whole kit down and went to the warehouse bought a new one and came back. Reinstalled it to his likings and he did this with out me even asking. I work for PG&E and was not informed of the rebates we had until Heidi emailed me all the information on how to redeem it. Turned every thing in as she told me and got my rebate within a week. Tony came back after the system was installed and asked us how we liked the system and if there were rooms that were not comfortable in temperature. After that he went up to the attic and made minor adjustments and all the rooms seem to be heating / cooling evenly. I am a very happy customer and feel that they do 110% top grade work. read more

I have an old house that has this dragon furnace in my crawlspace and no air, decided to search for a reputable hvac installer through yelp. As a homeowner i'm concern about the work to be done and called 3 hvac companies and among those 3 i chose TFF to do it, It was a straight forward and direct to the point no fuzz quotation of the project at hand from Tony. His wife Heidi gives prompt response to emails and schedule of install coincides to my days off for i work nights and can't have it done on my working days. Their team took 3 days to install but very clean and prompt. City inspection was quick and smooth and passed with flying colors. Tony and team were amazing. A couple of months ago, we bought a house in SF which had limited heating. TFF put in the new system and did an amazing job. Tony came up with imaginative ways of putting in the system so that it would cause minimal disruption to the existing structure. After spending time with the initial design, TFF installed the system on time. They even put in Ethernet connection for me as they were installing the system. Tony then come over to explain how to work the whole thing. And when the were done, they cleaned up well and I was very impressed with the fit and finish of work done. Strongly recommended. read more

I recently purchased a old house which had wall furnaces. I had to find good a HVAC contractor to install new furnace, new duct, and new vent replacing old wall furnaces. Because the house had low pitch roof and limited access to the crawl space, there were difficulties to install new central air heater. I contacted a few contractors and Tony was the most confident about the work and advised what we should do. The price was also competitive. I was very happy that I chose Tony. Tony and Heidi were always responsive and his crew also worked really hard. I replaced old roof at the same time and they collaborated with roofer guys to access to limited attic space and install new duct there. We installed AC as well. The work was finished on time and the process was very smooth. I highly recommend Tony and Heidi and his crew! read more

Tony and his team installed a new AC/Furnace unit for me a couple years ago with a great price and I am very happy with it. He also really knows his stuff and can diagnose a problem very quickly. This review is long over due. I had TFF HVAC replaced my heating system and installed AC system in June this year. From beginning to end of this project, Heidi & Tony were super responsive. They even responded my emails while they were on vacation out of country. They really care about their customers and made you feel that you are the only customer of theirs. They finished the whole project in one day and made no mess at all. Although they had to come back for some minor adjustments in order for me to get city permit, I'm totally happy with their work, especially the kind of service they provided. Would definitely hire them again for future needs. read more

We called TFF HVAC on Dec 25th, 2014 after my elderly mothers heater stopped working. She had one other company named, The Furnace Co in Campbell (also known as Day and Night Furnace) come out first and told her her motherboard would need to be replaced and it would cost $2800, or she could just replace her entire heater, which is what they recommended, for $5000. Thank goodness my Mom called my sisters and I because we told her no way, we needed another opinion. Little did we know what a scam this first company was. My sister highly recommended TFF HVAC as they have come to her home before and they were very good. So, she called them and we were thrilled they could send out a technician right away. Within a short time, Jason showed up. OMG! What a God send. He was so nice, patient, answered our questions and was very straight forward. He located wires that the other scam company had disconnected and then found the real problem, which was the ignitor that needed to be replaced (a fairly common problem). $125.00 later and my Mom had heat. He tested for carbon monoxide leaks, checked the filter and also checked the inside of the house to make sure the heat was flowing properly. Thank goodness for honest companies like TFF HVAC that realize that being honest ensures future and referral business. Bravo to them and to Jason, our great technician. read more

So glad we went with TFF HVAC 6 years ago when we decided to replace our furnace and AC. Tony was quick to respond when we contacted him about a problem with our furnace. Moreover, he was genuinely concerned about our comfort and tried to fix the furnace as quickly as possible. In the end, Tony was able to discover the cause of the problem. Two birds had made their home inside the vent and caused malfunction signal in our furnace. There really was no problem with our furnace. Tony even put a new cover on our vent to prevent future problems. We highly recommend Tony and his business! read more

Earlier in the spring I had several top rated HVAC companies come out to give my parents an estimate. I felt at ease with Tony and so did my parents. He was knowledgeable and didn't mind taking the time with all of our questions. His pricing was competitive with the others so we decided to go with him. We did a full HVAC install in mid July and I am happy to report several months later that everything works great. Our electric bill has decreased due to the high efficiency equipment we installed. The nice crew that did the install had us up and running in three days and Heidi in the office handled all of the permit and HERS rating. All in all we are happy that we chose TFF. read more
