This means it should test at 35%. They are supposed to account for the tint in the factory windows. When I got my car inspected my tint was 31%. This caused my car to fail inspection. So I went back and all they would do is take it off. They would not replace their product with the correct tint and fix their mistake. Now I have to pay again to have my windows tinted correctly. This is simply my honest experience. I do not recommend. They respond to all complaints in a very defensive and condescending manner. They aim to discredit the customer when they have made a mistake. They have a history of not being honorable when anyone complains. Response- Why on earth would I make this up or lie? I never said you were being deceitful. You guys simply made a mistake which you are unable to admit to. You jump to a defensive posture and make false allegations against me. You resort to insults. At no point was I insulting towards you, but you can't help but react emotionally. Being in business for 28 years does not make you immune to mistakes. I'm not going to call you as you suggested. You had an opportunity to do the right thing but chose not to. So now I'm going to share my honest experience which is my right as a consumer.

During the pandemic, I purchased a classic van. It came without a stereo; the previous owner…read moreremoved it. I had a small budget for something temporary so I purchased a Pioneer unit on Amazon. Afterwards, I contacted Hot Tint in May 2022. They responded to me that day and told me to stop by the shop. I made an appointment for later that week. When I arrived, I asked them to install the unit and a backup camera. I can't recall how much time it took but it was done in a reasonable amount of time and I'm happy with their service. I called a few other shops around this time. A couple had other projects and couldn't get to me for a few months. A couple of others didn't want to touch the van because of its age, manufactured in 1989. Hot Tint was straight-forward. They said let them see what I have and they'll let me know if they could use what I had or needed something else. I appreciate that approach. I did have a couple of problems but they were responsive. While driving home, my radio rebooted twice. The cable came loose so they told me to return to the shop so that they could fix it. The second is my clock resets to 12:00 every time the vehicle is restarted. They told me to bring it by so that they can fix it but I haven't. I'm rarely on the screen to see the time and just had other priorities. I mention these items to show that they were responsive and willing to troubleshoot the problem. I rate them high also because there are many mechanics and technicians who can work on a classic vehicle but refuse to do so. There are a handful like Hot Tint that jumps right in and do the job. I'm finally ready to add an amp and subwoofer so I will be contacting them again soon.

I had originally scheduled an appointment with Mohammed because of the pricing. My husband and I…read moreboth needed new tint after having the tint on our windows fail the Maryland inspection. Since we both needed our cars done, we had a pretty limited budget. To save some money, my husband removed my tint. He is definitely an amateur when doing it so he left some glue reside on the windows. (Mainly on the rear windshield because he didn't want to screw up the defrost lines.) Upon seeing my car, Mohammed was pretty rude about everything. Telling me that my husband did an awful job and he messed up my windows and that he was going to have to charge me more than a hundred dollars to remove it. He also stated that it was going to be a stressful job and he couldn't guarantee the work. That statement alone made me question his confidence in his work... I ended up leaving because I didn't want to deal with his attitude while standing outside with my 4 month old son. I called another company, they gave me suggestions on how to get the residue off, rubbing alcohol and a non-scratch sponge, worked great and it only took ten minutes. I ended up paying more for my tint but in the end I'm definitely glad I did because who knows what kind of job I would have gotten from Mohammed.
