On a recent visit, they saw that I had a ding in my driver door from an inconsiderate motorist who parked next to me. They were able to make the paint from the offender disappear, and to recommend another provider to fix the dent if I wanted to. Finally, they consistently do a good job, not just a good job for first-time customers. If every business were run like this one, the world would be a better place. However - my car, a Corolla driven infrequently and garage kept was not a difficult job. I just wanted a good exterior cleaning and wax and a thorough interior cleaning and with special attention to the upholstery shampoo - which I mentioned on the phone. The job I got was one rung up from the local carwash. No attempt was made to buff out any surface imperfections and the interior is such a disappointment to see every time I get in the car. I could have done a better job with warm water and a shop-vac. The car just wasn't that dirty, so they could have spent a little effort on the few spots on the very durable fabric seats. I think they just didn't bother because it's a little economy car and they had already been paid months ago, so it wasn't important to them. The evening I picked it up, the staff were oohing over an expensive sports car in the lot - I just think they have more interest in flashy cars than in customer service for the average Jane. It's been several weeks since the service, but it still bothers me every time I see the spots on the upholstery.

Afterwards, I contacted Hot Tint in May 2022. They responded to me that day and told me to stop by the shop. I made an appointment for later that week. When I arrived, I asked them to install the unit and a backup camera. I can't recall how much time it took but it was done in a reasonable amount of time and I'm happy with their service. I called a few other shops around this time. A couple had other projects and couldn't get to me for a few months. A couple of others didn't want to touch the van because of its age, manufactured in 1989. Hot Tint was straight-forward. They said let them see what I have and they'll let me know if they could use what I had or needed something else. I appreciate that approach. I did have a couple of problems but they were responsive. While driving home, my radio rebooted twice. The cable came loose so they told me to return to the shop so that they could fix it. The second is my clock resets to 12:00 every time the vehicle is restarted. They told me to bring it by so that they can fix it but I haven't. I'm rarely on the screen to see the time and just had other priorities. I mention these items to show that they were responsive and willing to troubleshoot the problem. I rate them high also because there are many mechanics and technicians who can work on a classic vehicle but refuse to do so. There are a handful like Hot Tint that jumps right in and do the job. I'm finally ready to add an amp and subwoofer so I will be contacting them again soon.

I had originally scheduled an appointment with Mohammed because of the pricing. My husband and I…read moreboth needed new tint after having the tint on our windows fail the Maryland inspection. Since we both needed our cars done, we had a pretty limited budget. To save some money, my husband removed my tint. He is definitely an amateur when doing it so he left some glue reside on the windows. (Mainly on the rear windshield because he didn't want to screw up the defrost lines.) Upon seeing my car, Mohammed was pretty rude about everything. Telling me that my husband did an awful job and he messed up my windows and that he was going to have to charge me more than a hundred dollars to remove it. He also stated that it was going to be a stressful job and he couldn't guarantee the work. That statement alone made me question his confidence in his work... I ended up leaving because I didn't want to deal with his attitude while standing outside with my 4 month old son. I called another company, they gave me suggestions on how to get the residue off, rubbing alcohol and a non-scratch sponge, worked great and it only took ten minutes. I ended up paying more for my tint but in the end I'm definitely glad I did because who knows what kind of job I would have gotten from Mohammed.
