I am beyond fed up with AC companies and their absurdly overpriced systems. Unfortunately, this company is no exception. To be clear, the technicians at Texas Mechanical Strong were great. Professional, respectful, and clearly doing their best. My issue is entirely with the owner. I was sold an $8,000 two-ton, two-speed unit to service a roughly 600 sq ft master bedroom and bathroom. Even with my limited HVAC knowledge, I knew the unit was oversized. But the owner was extremely confident and assured me it was the right solution. It was not. The system has been a complete failure. Humidity regularly exceeds 60% RH, and trying to correct this has turned into a drawn-out mess. And the unit itself is only half the problem. The other half is the owner, Rey. Because the system wasn't performing as promised, I had to repeatedly call the company to inspect it. That is not my fault. I was sold a product that does not do what it was sold to do. During these visits, his own technicians told me that the owner referred to me as an "annoying customer." They also questioned why this particular unit was ever recommended for such a small space in the first place. I understand I was working within a budget. What I don't accept is being sold a poorly suited system just so the company could hit a price point. What made things worse was Rey repeatedly insisting that I demanded RH in the 50s. I have zero recollection of ever saying that. When I pushed back and pointed out that 50s is not the only acceptable or realistic target, he became defensive and sarcastically suggested that maybe he "isn't an expert" and "doesn't know what he's doing." He also claimed he has the same unit in his own home and that it works great. That comparison is meaningless. His home is far larger than a 600 sq ft space. The final straw was when they came out to run tests and told me they would return a week later. Whatever adjustments were made actually made things worse. Humidity began spiking into the 60s and 70s. I reached out to Rey directly and was completely ignored. I genuinely feel bad leaving this review because the technicians were solid, and they are the only reason this company isn't getting an even lower rating. But the way this situation was handled at the ownership level was insulting, dismissive, and unacceptable. read more

Call because we had no AC and had one quote but my friend told me about this company and said they did free estimates. I called made an appointment for 3. This must be the witching hour for HVAC (first company's appointment was for 3 as well and didn't show up till 5). An hour after he was supposed to be here called and said it would be another hour. So ok. He gets here and it's too hot in the house for him...we were living it!!! He then proceeds to look at the unit and say it is too old and will be an exorbitant amount to replace . But they will give us a good deal. Did a credit check and called back with a different plan and proceeded to pressure us into buy their Lennox. Didn't happen. Called me directly didn't play phone tag or sent messages like others. Talked us through our unit, diagnosed and fixed as quoted. Price was not outrageous, in fact I just paid about the same to fix than others were charging just to diagnose. AC is up and running. If I get any issues best believe I'll update!! read more

They did it again! Showed up within a couple of hours to check out my A/C. Very honest and skilled techs. Replaced my old old unit for a very competitive price. Cleaned up and tested all rooms to be certain cooling was correct. No problems since. Annual Spring and Fall checks are prices lower than most. Great job guys!! read more

I would highly recommend this company Samuel Rivera is very knowledgeable, he figured out the problem quickly and in less than two hours my house is cooling . I will tell all my friends and family, and if you're wondering about if the service is affordable, yes it is . I was concerned about the price but once he told me the cost I did not hesitate to do business ,I've signed up for yearly maintenance with them , thanks Samuel , you're a great guy . If I could give this place zero stars I would. Do not let this company touch your AC. They came out to repair our AC and placed the wrong part in. So when I demanded they come out a fix the screw up they refused because i threatened to take them to court. I have Mr Rios on my camera placing the "part" he claimed he installed in my AC on my porch and it sat for 6 hours. He can be heard saying "they will pay for this part" then a few hours later his worker is seen on video picking up that part and placing it back in the truck. Fast forward to 6.14.23 I had someone come out and look at the work he claimed he fixed and all he did was just put a new door on the unit and didn't fix the inside which is against the law and a felony!! UPDATE: A few months later same issue happened with another room. I have a home warranty and they sent someone out. It's not covered of course and I'm paying for it myself. Same issue I had as last time but here's the kicker and why they went from 5 stars to 1 star. Texas Strong is price gouging their customers. The price I paid in September, $895.... the price I'm paying to have the same thing done by another company $410. Wow! Shame on you Texas Strong.... shame on you! Called to get my ac fixed , They said the reason why it wasn't working was bc the belt broke and they said it would be $275 to repair . I paid the $275. They advice me that there was ice and once the ice melted it would work. I let it sit overnight only to find out it didn't work . I called numerous times to get it fixed and refused to come out stating i called to have the belt fixed and the was done . I never called for a belt I called to get my ac fixed and whatever that came with having for it to work again . Now I'm out $275 and still no ac, btw they said they wouldn't come out bc I left a bad review shows the kind of business they run read more

I didn't want to have to replace my entire heat and AC system but my 25 year old system couldn't limp along anymore. Ray and his team hooked me up with a great, highly rated Carrier system and I feel I received a fair price too. By the next afternoon, I had a whole new system. One that is certainly more efficient than my old system so I can't wait to see how much my electric bill decreases! The service was spectacular. Not only where they available the same day but were able to identify the root cause of the issue and present multiple options to fix the problem. To add to the amazing service it was all during a crazy Houston freeze that resulted in power outages and shut the whole city down. They were able to fix our furnace within 24 hours so that we could bring our newborn baby home from the hospital to a warm and safe place. I can't say enough good things about this company! I'm a single mom, with a 20 y/o AC unit that has been on its last leg for a few years. It recently stopped working on a Saturday, and they were out within a few hours and fixed the problem quickly. It was even raining really bad, and they waited for breaks in the rain to complete the job, which required them to stay longer than I'm sure they anticipated. But they did, with smiles and great attitudes. Both technicians were professional and came with masks on. I know I need a new AC unit, but they were able to keep mine running until I can afford a new one. I will continue to use them for my AC needs, and would highly recommend! Not helpful at all! We called them to get our AC fixed they went to "fix" it, they charged us for the "work" that was done and they left saying it was fixed. Next day the AC was still acting up, when we called and told them they kept giving us excuses and they kept hanging up! Terrible customer service!! Still haven't even fixed the issue!! read more

Pricing was otherworldly. A coil cleaning, hard start capacitor and top off of refrigerant was quoted at almost $900. A leveling of the ground pad for the air conditioner was quoted at $1200. They seemed exceedingly competent, and I'm sure do great work, but the prices were so out of touch that I won't know, since I couldn't afford them. In affect, I spent $79 for a filter change, using my own filter. Not sure if they ever even got around to cleaning my condensate line. Would not recommend. read more
