BAD: food was lacking, half of my steak was fat, green beans were over cooked, corn was inedible, no baked beans on the menu UGLY: broken glass came off of the top of my beer glass. I had broken glass in my mouth. I asked our server Dakota for another napkin, a fresh glass of beer and water, and I wanted to see the manager. This never happened to me before. I decided to get gift cards from my bank for using my credit card. I have been using these gift cards on chain steak restaurants. I went to the West Bend location and was absolutely disappointed. The mushrooms had no seasoning and were ice cold! The steak was even worse. One side was a flat as a pancake and the other end was the size one would expect. How is that going to be evenly cooked. To even give it to a customer is an insult! What made me absolutely realize I would never return was that when I finally ate what I could, I pointed out the waitress that one third of my steak was still on the plate being that it was all fat! The hostess seated us, we waited 18 minutes and nobody ever came to our table. The table next to us ordered drinks, they were delivered, their food order was taken. The people sitting behind us received their food and we watched our waiter return and ensure everything was okay, but absolutely nobody approached our table to greet us, tell us it would be a minute, or even acknowledged us. We were sitting in the corner so it was very obvious who our waiter was because he had both tables adjacent and behind us, but he never noticed. I would give it 5 stars just for how nice our server Michelle was! However food was just ok - chef was slow at cooking and wrong item came out for my son. It took 1.5 hours from the time we sat down until the time we got the bill . Food looked great but was mediocre and possibly rushed. My son ordered a filet and got a Sirlion steak well done. And by the time his came out it was already an hour wait for the food. He is 10 so we didn't want to stay too long. Food at the other location in Michigan was so good that while staying in Wisconsin we decided to stop in Tvis location . What can I say, from the time we walked in, the service was terrible. First of all the host staff began to seat us and then told us to wait 5 more minutes to clean off a table. She sat us at a table that has NO server. When I asked for a server or a manager to take our order they offered a complimentary cactus blossom. When it arrived 15 minutes later (after asking the whereabouts of it to the same manager that offered it to us ) it was raw. The front end manager came to our table and said she took our blossom off our bill. I proceeded to tell her that it was complimentary and that we weren't being charged for it. When our food arrived, one of our steaks was ordered medium but came out rare. At this point we had all we could take and asked for it taken off our bill. EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!! I am a longtime customer and fan of Texas Roadhouse. I have eaten there multiple times and in different states. Recently I have noticed a significant decline in both food and service. Relating to my most recent visit Jan. 24,2025 at 8:57 pm in West Bend, WI the pictures say 1,000 words. Prior to ordering our food we received dirty silverware and napkins which was quickly removed/replaced by our waitress. We ordered food & 1 glass of house wine which took more than 15 minutes (they were not busy at 9pm) to get. Then the food came. My salad was delivered with a crumpled up receipt from some previous customer to look like lettuce with cheese on top (see pictures). Intentional? The manager was called and 10 min later arrived after speaking with the bartender(?). She was irritated to have to deal with a problem. She removed the receipt, put it in her pocket and told me she'd make another salad for me, no apology, no surprise in finding a foreign object in their food as if this has happened before. Regardless of my decision to stay or go we better pay the bar bill. Seriously...not concerned about the food coming from the kitchen but the cost of 1 glass of house wine? A great place to get a steak dinner. The mozzie sticks were great starters and the steak was cooked to perfection. We had a hiccup with our service where our mozzarella sticks were forgotten however our waitress had an emergency and had to leave, which is why that occurred and the manager apologized to us and gave them to us for free, which was great service. The ambiance is amazing and gives off your classic Texas vibe, contributing to an overall awesome night out. read more

Got seated immediately, sat about 25 minutes before wait staff arrived for our drink order. Ordered our water. Water arrived and we ordered right away!!!! Both of us medallions over rice with a Ceasars salad and a loaded sweet potato. One ordered rare the other med rare, both meat orders were over cooked and very tough. My neighbor and I drive out to soothe our wounded souls after a rough week full of disappointments. We just wanted a hot meal and good service. We were not disappointed. We arrived and had to wait because the restaurant was super busy with early October birthdays but the staff was friendly and helpful. They offered us a place to wait and promptly notified us when our take was available. We love this location -- even though we have to drive shit 30 minutes to get to it. Tonight was a dark overcast night but we needed comfort so we grabbed our little Service dog escort and headed out into the sunset toward the Roadhouse! We always order 6 oz or 8 oz Sirloins, salads, potatoes, and broccoli. Tonight, we splurged and added real sodas! LOL Yeah, we are two FANCY gals! I got little Sir a kids meal -- which he ignored cuz he was on duty! Our food was delicious. The steaks were cooked just right! My neighbor loves the cold salads so she was elated! I'm a sugar junky so the cinnamon butter and hot rolls made my heart sing! We were in our Zen space! Thank you to all the staff who were writing so diligently tonight. It was really busy in there and you guys were making things happen with smiles on your faces. It couldn't have been as easy as you made it look! Amazing!! Good job! Well done! Our wait staff was perfect. She was pleasant and even remembered, Sir Buddy and little things about his order -- like no seasoning on the meat or butter on the broccoli! We arrived on Thursday for our granddaughter birthday with a little more than a half hour wait at 5:30 we were seated drinks ordered and order taken. Our salad came out in a timely matter fresh and crisp but a long wait for dinner items my steak was just warm my husbands fries were cold it was someone else then our server we told him we are missing fries from an order he said he'll get back to us but never did had to wave down our original waitress we left a 15% tip but I wasn't happy I get they were busy but I'm not sure if I'd b go there again read more

Service was fast in providing service, but the 20 oz ribeye was pure slop. Visually looked like a nice cut of beef but was a very thin cut with no flavor. I have reviewed many restaurants and most get favorable reviews. If you want a great ribeye don't think about going here! We will never return. read more

08-01-2024, 3:07pm. A wasted drive on the highway. Nothing does more damage to a business than dysfunctional hired help. Our visit just 'SCREAMED' super dysfunction. We were in the first twenty people to enter the building after they unlocked the doors. After standing inside the entrances for minutes, in curiosity I looked ahead wondering why things weren't moving, ...almost as if someone pulled the hand brake on doing business. The woman at the intake booth was moving like she couldn't get out of first gear. She was sending people to the waiting area to the side of the entrance. (WHAT DA?!?) I visually spanned the dining areas because they literally just unlocked the doors. There was absolutely no reason for not seating people at tables. NONE! When we finally got to the intake booth and this woman told us too, to be seated in the waiting area until a table is ready, I again spanned the dining areas with my eyes. And, 'STILL', there was absolutely no reason for curbing customers to the waiting area. Upset by the dysfunctional counter clockwise backwards thinking in just the first few minutes of our visit, ...we were one of the groups that walked out. I highly suggest that the actual owners review their security cameras to verify that my review is 'SPOT ON'. No lies. No stretching the truth. JUST FACTS! I was a party of two. Another man with gray hare and a plaid shirt was in the parking lot going to his car complaining also. Don't get upset with review writers for speaking the truth. Take it up with your hired help. (Again, ...check your cameras. This review is spot on.) Apparently this place does so well, they can afford to turn '$ Dollars $' away before their dining areas even reach 1/3 or 1/2 the dining capacity. read more

Our annual trip to Texas to use the Christmas gift card from my parents...while we probably wouldn't come here without the gift card, we've come to look forward to it and making memories along the way. We keep pushing our dinner time ahead 30min to try and avoid a wait so arriving at 430p we thought we'd be good but still waited about 20min for a table; looks like we'll try 4p next year. I always get the critter salad and it's always very good; can't top the rolls and butter either but they were behind on making them and our table of 6 got 4 rolls to start and 4 more 15 min later....service was attentive and rest of the food was fine. I've never had a GREAT meal at this location but it's always been my dad's favorite place so we put up with usually less than mediocre food for him. Well, he's gone now and the only reason I would go back would be to honor his memory but after my experience last night I will never go back again. I don't understand how a place that is supposed to be known for their steaks can screw up a steak so many times I've been there! First of all, it's called salt and pepper. Pretty simple seasoning for a steak, look them up and try them out. You'll be amazed at how many good reviews and compliments you might get if you try seasoning your steaks while you are cooking them. Second, try to teach at least one of your cooks (I would never disgrace the word chef by using it on one of your kitchen staff) how to tell the difference between rare, medium rare, and well done! I've never ordered a steak more done than med-rare and I have never gotten a steak delivered at less than medium to medium well. So last night after refusing to eat a medium well steak and asking them to remake it, I received one that was completely RAW!! You have failed me for the last time. I'm done. Worst steak house I have ever been to and I am even embarrassed to call you a steak house. I feel bad for your servers always having to apologize for the horrible food coming out of the kitchen. read more

Sadly we stopped here after having a amazing afternoon purchasing a car. We got seated right away and the host was extremely nice/friendly but it went down hill from there. The restaurant was not busy at all it was 7 pm on a Tuesday night but it took almost 30 minutes to get our salads, and then an additional 20 minutes for our main dishes! We asked for refill on drink at this time. The main dish that I ordered was shrimp and steak and got only 3 tiny overcooked shrimp ! I had to bring up to waitress that I believe this meal should come with more shrimp I didn't even bother to mention them being over cooked! She said she would go back and ask and yes a few minutes later came out with another skewer of shrimp. Apologizing for error. My boyfriend ordered steak tips with mushrooms and onions the presentation sloppy (gravy all over bowl lip and all I should have took photo) they tasted very salty to the point he picked out tips and left everything else. I was told they had new crew in kitchen:/ With our meal being done she finally brought over refill only to blame forgetting it on me cause I brought up the shrimp being short. Also we had a number on our table which I believe was there for manager to come talk to us but it was removed by the girl who forgot our salads and we never saw a manager till walking out. Even after all of this I still left 12$ tip. Maybe an over sight. Sadly we will probably not visit this location again and we will stick to Madison , Appleton and Sheboygan. read more

Walked in line to make a reservation and had to wait about 10 minutes for several workers to flirt with the party before me even to be greeted by the hostess. Went back to wait in the car for the "15-20" minute wait but upon walking back in there were employees laying in the ground and vaping in the restaurant. Upon being seated we ordered drinks from the so called bottomless/endless section that were empty paper weights most of the visit. The kid wanted chicken critters and were served some sort of breeding with minimal chicken. The side of mac n cheese was nasty and not edible. Wife ordered the app sampler with boneless wings, rattlesnake bites, and, fried pickles. The boneless wings were overcooked like hard breading/jerky. Rattlesnake bites were cooked till no filling was remaining. I ordered steak with fries and chili. The chili never arrived and had to ask for it to give to my wife. The steak had a rewarmed microwave flavor and fries were good. Upon receiving the bill I told the server I was less than impressed with our meal when he asked if we needed boxes, advising it could be thrown out due to our dislike. He said sorry to hear that and never came back... I paid our bill on the device on the table after a good long wait for him to help us with it. Food was not well cooked! I requested well done steak but the steak was not well cooked. It was pink... I was hungry so I ate anyway...We arrived at restaurant 15 minutes before close and no one was at the entrance to welcome us. The server Jason was polite but lacked the customer service skills. I had to request water to refilled and had to remind him to check on our food. The gentlemen cooking the rolls refused give the server fresh rolls because he claimed we had to get what they had under the heat on the counter. This is my second time here and the service was horrible. I am sorry to complain however I love this restaurant and hope you can fix this problem. We requested to see a manger and left after it took long for them to attend to us. I paid for a poorly cooked steak with mediocre customer service.
