Uneven baking... they don't look as appetizing as they used to either
Karina-Jon Law C.

Been ordering rolls here forever... I typically buy a couple dozen every now and then so my kids can snack on them. I noticed it has been getting worse through the years... I mean, I know inflation is a thing but come on now! First of all, the rolls do not taste like they used to, I am sure they are skimpin on something with the ingredients, then they are baked uneven, some are burnt and some are underdone... and then the size, oh me oh my!!! What in the world??? I gave an extra star for service because even though I was irritated the service crew was somewhat polite... I complained about the size and he said at first that they have been getting smaller. After I pulled the "mini me" roll, he gave me another bag with 4 rolls. I can understand if these are being given free inside the restaurant but if I am buying them for $5 a dozen. You have got to do better Royersford Texas Roadhouse! I did not get what I paid for. Totally disappointed.

The food is amazing, together with the environment and very family friendly. The servers at the bar area, Makenzie and Nora are like a tag-team pair. They just make the whole experience flow smoothly, and they are so polite and friendly.

Welcome package for 1st time guests!! I've never gotten something like this before. Very creative!

I'm in the area visiting my mom and believe it or not I've never been to a Texas Roadhouse. I'm not sure if they are all like this... at first I was a little disappointed to go out to dinner tonight because most of my normal "local" places are closed early due to Covid and I'm not a fan of big chains. Man was I surprised. Friendly staff, GANGSTER steaks. Really impressed. I wish I took a picture of the food but I didn't expect to give this high of a review when I got here (I didn't expect to give any review). Instead, here is a picture of my post dinner beer! Enjoy Check it out!

4/19/2026 Well. . . I just had to come back to this beautiful place even though it's almost an…read morehour away from where I live. My brother and sister in law have raved about this brunch and it IS rave worthy!! So yesterday was my day! We were seated at a table that was wobbling like nobody's business. That's one thing I can't stand! We brought it to our server, Bella's, attention and she promptly assisted us and stabilized the table. During the course of our brunch the manager (I presume) also checked in to make sure our table was cooperating (which it was). Bella provided great service to us. I really enjoyed the offerings at this wonderful brunch! My sister in law made a reservation and I'm glad she did. Not long after we were seated the place started to get busy. I thought the food quality and presentation was top notch! Some of the offerings were prime rib, roasted turkey, omelette made to order, oysters Rockefeller- giant shrimp cocktail, salads, pasta, chicken divan, lox, bagels and a dessert emporium that will rock your world! That's only some of the offerings. So many choices you will find a lot to enjoy here for even the most picky palate! I enjoyed the prime rib especially. The young man slicing it was very pleasant (so sorry did not get his name) and it was tender and so freaking delicious. I enjoyed that immensely! The icing on the cake though was that delicious creamy horseradish sauce! WOW! Also I loved the tortellini with sun-dried tomatoes and spinach in a cream sauce- so rich and decadent. Another item I had to try was the eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was probably the best I've ever had. It is rich but had a nice lemony finish. I tried several other tasty items including the fresh and flavorful shrimp cocktail. I was truly happy with the entire experience. For 45$ you are getting the world. That's rare today! Included in the price is coffee, tea and soft drinks- that's another big plus for me! I hate when restaurants try to nickel and dime for soft drinks etc. Not here! They also offer 5$ mimosas and Bloody Mary's. My husband enjoyed his Bloody Mary. I would definitely come back in a heart beat! Sonia was very pleasant too, she was restocking the side room with offerings. We had a pleasant conversation. *** oh*** one other thing I failed to mention- when I was there, the buffet was in pristine condition throughout the experience. I've been to other places where the buffet looks great in the beginning but then, as time passes it starts to look sloppy with food splatter, looks picked over, and food items nearly empty. Not here!!! Great experience. You won't regret it!!! It's well worth the price!

The restaurant is decorated really nice and the staff aims to please. Our waitress, Isabella, was so pleasant and accommodating. I didn't include any pictures since I was so busy enjoying the food. The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly and delicious. And there are a number of sauces you can order with it. All their steaks come with sides, unlike a lot of the other steakhouses in the area. The salads, soups and apps are all so good. I will be back whenever I can.

We got chicken fingers and fries for our daughter, I had the boneless wings with the Hot N Honey sauce and a side of sweet potato fries, and my wife had the fettuccine Alfredo. Everything was delicious. We also tried the blueberry lemon margaritas, which were excellent. Our server was Lucas or Logan -- apologies, I'm terrible with names -- and we were shocked when we found out it was only his third day. He was honestly one of the best servers we've had anywhere. He was extremely attentive, quick with everything, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome. You would never have guessed he was brand new. The history of the place is also incredibly cool and ended up sending us down a whole rabbit hole afterward. Knowing how old the building is and how much local history is tied to it made the atmosphere even more interesting. Between the great food, drinks, history, atmosphere, and fantastic service, this ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in the area!

One issue we had were children in the bar sitting at tables. At one point a little girl shrieked and it was loud. So my suggestion is not allowing children in the bar area. They do have dining rooms. I had the taco salad bowl and went off another reviewers advice and got extra ground meat and shredded cheese. It was fantastic. Another in our party got mozzarella sticks and BLT. He said both were very good. The sticks were not over fries and the BLT had plenty of B on it. Drinks were good.

Our Server, Kylie took our drink order- but where she remembered my wife's usual, a key-lime margarita. For my appetizer I ordered Escargot fricassee, Primordia mushrooms, pearl onions, sundried tomatoes... so good. I thoroughly enjoyed the appetizer and Kylie was kind enough to suggest and to bring out an extra slice of homemade bread as I did not want to let the delicious juices of the appetizer go to waste. The house salad is a Spring mix salad with malanga and mung beans With your Choice of Grana emulsion, lemon poppy, toasted cumin coriander dressings. I had the Filet mignon, asparagus, spinach pave potato, local mushrooms and bacon jam as my entrée-- and Shawn, the Chef cooked it to the perfect temperature for me. Delicious--Thanks Shawn!!! My Dad had Pan seared sea scallops & shrimp, fregola sarda, mushroom cream sauce and he loved it. My wife enjoyed the Maine lobster tails, asparagus risotto, root vegetable salad and she was kind enough to share her risotto! My Mom had the Breaded veal medallions, grilled eggplant, mozzarella, sage, romesco sauce. She'll be back. Desserts--So good! Homemade malted strawberry ice cream!!! Although the dining room was filled to capacity- the voices and tones were quiet and we all could enjoy conversation. And... although the place was full Kylie didn't seemed rushed and she was always right there when we had a need. When we arrived and saw that they were in a shopping mall, we were thinking about looking for somewhere else.... Boy I'm SO GLAD that we didn't! We arrived around 12:30 and they were packed - we were able to get a table outside (bar and inside dining area were too noisy for us)! Our server, Ariana O. was great! My wife enjoyed her Flamingo Fandango drink ($ 14.50) with the Torta Ahogada ($18.95) - both were delicious but the sandwich was very messy - better eaten with a knife and fork - and absolutely delicious as were their French fries that she had! I ordered the Beef "Cubano" sandwich ($ 17.95) with a side of golden beets ($ 2.00 up charge) glazed with the same horseradish sauce that was on the sandwich (Ariana's recommendation). Both were wonderful and we shared tastes of each other's items! It was worth the drive up and the impending drive back!!! We also shared a Dark Chocolate Custard pie that featured an Oreo type of crust with whipped cream and shaved dark chocolate as a topping - it tasted wonderful but I felt a little on the small size for the $ 12.95 price! All things considered, I would make the drive again to go back to experience the other items on the menu but as was suggested, I would definitely make a reservation for lunch and definitely would for dinner! I was initially on the fence about it since its in a shopping mall surrounded by chain restaurants and a wax salon, but I figured if it looked bad inside there was a Smashburger nearby. How wrong I was! The inside is absolutely stunning, what a beautiful space. It took a while to be seated since it was a holiday weekend but when we did we had a beautiful view of an indoor sunroom. We got the potato pierogi to start, which was fantastic, and my dish was the tofu scramble (with fruit as a side). The scramble had a surprising sweetness that was not unpleasant and was quite a large portion. Our server was great but he had a very strong and vibrant personality - which I did not care for when I first sat down and was tired and hangry, but he was great and won me over at the end, haha. Anyway, try this place, its amazing and next time I am in Allentown I will be back for sure.

We visited on a Wednesday evening and were seated immediately, as there was only one other table occupied when we arrived. The restaurant offers plenty of seating both indoors and out on the patio. Since it was hot and raining, we chose to dine inside. The interior is beautifully designed with a cozy, authentic Italian feel that adds to the overall dining experience. Our server was friendly and welcoming, greeting us right at the door and returning quickly to take our drink orders. The menu is extensive--there are tons of options to choose from, which made it tough to decide. I ended up ordering the Spicy Fried Chicken Jalapeño Sandwich with a side of fries. I enjoy spicy food, and this sandwich absolutely delivered. The jalapeño sauce was rich, flavorful, and one of the best I've ever had. The bread tasted freshly baked--possibly even house-made--and really elevated the entire sandwich. The fries were standard, but they came out hot, crisp, and well-seasoned. Overall, this was a great dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were all on point. I'll definitely be saving this spot for future visits and look forward to exploring more items from their massive menu.

I saw the reviews for The Trapp Door on Yelp and we just had to stop. Having said that - had we not known we had a destination we would have completely driven past. On the outside it's a completely unassuming place that you would think only draws a local crowd as the town bar. Let me tell you.....first appearances are completely deceiving. The Trapp Door is just a magical secret. Ok so maybe it's not a secret to many but I will tell you why it's worth driving to. Philly people - you must come here! NJ people - you too! If you look up the definition of Gastropub - this is it. I've traveled all over the world and tried many who claim to be Gastropubs - this place is the true definition. The service is as friendly as you can get. They make you feel comfortable and as if you were a local and as if you have known them forever. We were 3 guests and as appetizers we had the bone marrow and the duck confit, then had the smoked trout and the Spanish chorizo. The duck, bone marrow and home made smoked trout ( and I'm not necessarily a fish fan) were absolutely amazing. Already dreaming about. Seriously -to write home about. The chorizo was good but average. Then we split a burger - medium rare - and let me tell you - if you are craving a burger - you will fall in love! Cooked exactly as we had requested. They also had homemade condiments. Phenomenal. One of us decided we should order desserts and many times after having such a great meal - I'm apprehensive of ruining it by ordering dessert since sometimes it's not a speciality and leaves you a bit disappointed. Yeah, no. You will just be even more in love. We had the pumpkin crème brûle ( Im over all the pumpkin and was apprehensive however it was spectacular and the pumpkin was true pumpkin - not forced). We also had the ginger apple cobbler - wow! Ginger is just right. The dough was perfectly light and fluffy and crispy. A hard trifecta to master. The beverages and beers do not disappoint and need little introduction. This places deserves a visit. Make your way there even if a bit out of the way. It's worth every single extra mile. You won't be disappointed. We will be back. Thank you to Abby (try the drink named after her. She's just as nice), Taylor, Sue and the chef - Nate Thatcher. Wow!!!! I may have set the bar too high ( no I haven't) so let me lower it - so I'll close with. Yeah go try it. It's ok. He he he he.
