I've always been a fan of Texas Roadhouse and not just because of the rolls (I did eat 8)! The ambiance at this location alone is fun, very spacious and busy! It's been awhile since I've visited this location, it was nice to be back and enjoy some favorites! Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals, had a great time and appreciated the birthday acknowledgment. The steak bites, Caesar salad and other dishes came out timely and were delicious! I'm still trying to get used to the packaged peanuts, the switch up around the tough time from 2019. Special shout out to our server, Clayton! He was very attentive, engaging and knowledgeable! We were seated promptly, on time for our reservation. Waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered drinks - my friend and I ordered the kabobs and the filet medallions. About 30 minutes into our wait a member of their staff came to inform us of a "mishap" with our order but they were working on our order and that our meals would be COMPED. 30 minutes later our orders arrive - my medallions were perfect...the kabobs - both ends were charred black. By that time we had had a few drinks and just ate what we could. I saw that you could pay on the device on our table, I opted to split the check with my friend so I paid for half. When she looked at the check to pay her half she realized they comped NOTHING. So we called manager over and he gave me a $15 coupon and provided a $15 off my friend's total. Yesterday was Veterans Day and Texas Roadhouse gives a meal voucher to veterans and active service members. The line was super long (took us about an hour to go through), but the TX Roadhouse staff were super friendly and pleasant...and it was a cold, windy day! They also handed out bags of roasted peanuts and cupcakes. We've eaten at this location numerous times and the food is always wonderful. We look forward to using our vouchers soon! read more

Quite possibly one of the worst sirloin steaks I have ever eaten. Very tender yes, but no taste of beef just the flavored oil it was slathered in. Asked for medium rare and got that on one end of the steak the rest being well done and beyond. I know there are rules about how rare you can order a steak but if we want to eat it raw is that not our choice and not the restaurants. No one cooks burgers rare, or steaks, or serves salt any more because it is unhealthy or hot coffee because you might get sued. My husband and I Went last Sunday for a night out and the service and food was very good.

I ordered carryout this time. Love the chain restaurant and have been to several in different cities and states. I ordered the fried catfish, which I pretty much order whenever I go. It is light and well seasoned. This one's food was just as delicious as always, but the portions seem to get smaller, I'm guessing due to the economy. Truly disappointed in my local Texas Roadhouse. I brought my daughter here for her 21st birthday, she was very disappointed when she ordered her VERY FIRST drink and they denied. I understand that she still has a vertical but she was working all morning and had university classes through the afternoon. Then her friend ordered a half slab of ribs and they came in TWO halves... one was COLD and one was HARD no meat just BONE. On top of all of this we ordered the combo appetizer plate and we didn't receive it at all. In compensation for our horrible experience they offered free ice cream... which was already included in the birthday celebration. Overall not a good experience with this place and manager was just not respectful nor pleasant. read more

Don't do it!! I used to like Texas Roadhouse, but they've definitely gone down hill. My family and I tried the early bird dinner on Sunday. My wife and daughter got the pulled pork dinner and it was overdone. I've been here multiple times in the past, and while it's not the best steakhouse you've ever been to, it's pretty good for a chain. The steaks here are pretty good, but I prefer their other meals. My favorites are chicken critter salad, the cheese fries, and their rolls--of course. Really, it's hard to go wrong with any of the appetizers. The only thing I wouldn't recommend here would be the grilled chicken because it was overdone, and the sirloin steak because ribeyes are better! Overall, while I prefer to stay away from chains, this place has great consistency across restaurants. The Springfield location seems to always have great service, and the wait isn't too long even when it's busy. Come early for specials and to avoid the crowd. read more

The country fried chicken was huge with nice crisp crunch. The gravy over the chicken was perfect and complemented the chicken well. Green beans were perfect, loved the bacon flavor. Salad had a bunch of stuff added to it not just lettuce and a few things. I highly recommend the honey mustard on the salad and dipping the croutons in the honey mustard. The rolls are addicting and the cinnamon butter it toxic goodness. Be sure to get your own cinnamon butter so you can dip your bread and not share. Jamaican Cowboy alcohol drink was pretty tasty as well, recommend the $2 kicker to make it pack more punch. read more

Overpriced with cheap quality. The waiter and staff were amazing. For an appetizer we got cheese fries, fries are impossible to get wrong, but the cheese was just sliced American and shredded cheddar, the cheese wasn't even melted, very cheap. My table mate got a steak smothered in onions and mushrooms, they were burnt and almost made them sick. I got a chicken critters with a half rack of ribs. The ribs were excellent. The chicken is horribly small and extremely overpriced, and a minute undercooked. Music so loud you can barely talk. read more
