Well, I was a little disappointed with the food. I had eggs with sausage and biscuits. The eggs were okay. The sausage and biscuits were subpar. The sausage was bland, with a texture that reminded me of wet kibble. The biscuits were store bought and the gravy tasted like flour. Sorry, I wouldn't get that again for sure. The coffee was a little weak. The thing that really bothered me was the English muffins my wife had. They weren't toasted. They were grilled! Smashed on the grill. They tasted like everything that had been fried that day on the grill, mostly grease. Bleh . After having these there's no way I would order pancakes. The server was great. The atmosphere was nice. Very Christian decor. My wife liked her omelette. I won't get biscuits and gravy or any bread products from here again. read more

This place has the slowest service I've ever received in a restaurant i definitely will be going to a different spot next time not to mention the place is filthy & sticky.. waitresses need more training.. they were just standing around staring at everyone eat.. and had tables with food sitting on them.. Update on the food: the biscuits & gravy.. oh boy.. they're terrible had the consistency of applesauce.. never have had biscuits and gravy have the consistency of that.. the eggs were okay.. but the toast was chewy... zero out of 10 for the food. I will say the lemonade was the highlight of the meal.... But it might throw you into cardiac arrest with how much sugar is in it... it really saddens me to see this place in the shape it is in now.. 5 years ago Rudy's was the spot to go to they had amazing food, amazing service, fast and fantastic.. they have really went downhill. Delicious home-cooked food for very fair prices. My party of 8 got different meals and everyone was very pleased. Also ordered a piece of chocolate mint pie and it was wonderful. Stopped in on advice from reviews. They were spot on! We both had a Horseshoe. We choose it with biscuit and sausage patties. Biscuit toped with has browns then 2 sausage patties gravy then eggs of choice on top. All was delicious and its huge. It was seved fairly quick and hot. Coffee was always refilled without asking.You can choose between bicscuit or toast, sausage bacon or ham and egg type for the Horseshoe Rudie's staff was very friendly. Very clean. Decor pleasing. Christmas decorations were steps above most cheap decor you find in businesses. It is a little tricky to find if you are out of towners as we were. Rudi's sits next to Dunham Sports in a strip mall off the highway. Added to my favorites and will definately stop again when we travel thru. Great local establishment. read more

Good place to grab breakfast, not many choices in Jacksonville. Our experience was Saturday morning breakfast, waitress was nice and polite. Standard breakfast choices, plus a buffet on weekend. I tried the horseshoe- which is a central Illinois thing, can be a breakfast or lunch time pile of food . This one was a biscuit topped with hash brown potato's , sausage patty, two eggs, then sausage gravy. Obviously this is not the dieters plate. Was tasty, no complaints. To sum it up, do not expect a bistro dining experience but a good alternate to the chain restaurants and drive through burger joints in town. read more

The breakfast buffet is plentiful, but the western omelet is to die for...the American fries weren't great, but edible with loads of ketchup...glazed donuts are delicious and bigger than they look. Went in today for breakfast and was told midway through the meal that their machine was down and could not accept cards, then was told I could take cash out of the atm which was also not working. First time tonight from 30 minutes out-of-town. Outside looks super nice.. Get inside and it resembles nothing like a grill. More like a bunch of tables crammed with no place to really stand up front while you block the exit for people leaving. The place looked clean with minimal decor. No idea if we were supposed to wait for a table or grab our own. Do not recommend buffet unless you don't care to eat freezer food. Absolutely horrible. A few people next to us ordered off the menu and that looked more appetizing and cheaper than the buffet. It was dirty, dusty and the plates were no where to be found. Had to ask for one. Salad was okay. Loved their ranch dressing. People there were super nice but it just looked unorganized and too much people to handle for good service read more

Great service, all american menu prepared well. Great place for a meal ranging from fried chicken, to burgers, to steak and a cold beer. Breakfast served all day. You wont leave hungry or complaining about the ticket as all meals are reasonably priced. read more

Lost long time customers today. Will not recommend you to anyone else ever. Orders to go for delivery wrong or items left out majority of the time! Today was the last straw. Phoned in order to go. we picked it up. Got food home,no pie that we ordered and PAID FOR! Immediately called them. They said come back across town and back and get pie. We just came from there to get food and pie!! We Said can you deliver, it was your mistake, you should deliver it. They said if we do we will charge you to deliver...what SHOULD have been in the original order!!! If the customer is right...and yes we were ,THEY SHOULD BE QUICK TO FIX THERE MISTAKE!!! But no they said it was our fault WE did NOT Check the bag before we left. Note: Bags are tied in several knots . After getting it open, torn most times ends up a mess! read more
