Buffalo Chicken Wrap and Waffle Fries
    Janette C.

Went out for dinner here for the first time. I thought the atmosphere was cool. Lots of TVs and plenty of space. It can accommodate for a large group. They also had a large amount of bar seating. Overall it was a nice atmosphere, perfect for watching sports. I was here on a Sunday for dinner. There wasn't a lot of people here during that time. For it not being busy, the service was average. Waitress only got our drinks and took the orders. The food itself was also average. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and fries. The wrap was sauced well, but the fries were terrible. Didn't have a terrible experience and I would give it another shot.

Came here twice on my visit to Springfield last weekend. The horseshoes were delicious! Our first servers name was Cindy and she was very friendly and service was on point! The second time the server (don't remember her name) wasnt very friendly but still gave good service. I would highly recommend the side salad. Nice size portion and I shared half with my mom, so that was a plus. I will be back the next time I fly in.

    Cajun chicken Alfredo $8.99

I went here for a grad dinner party and it was a big group of us. Our server was great and made sure we all got our food and drinks that we wanted. Our food took awhile to come out and I was starving by the time it finally did come. I loved the Cajun chicken Alfredo. I got it breaded which in my opinion is much better than grilled. The pasta was a little dry but the chicken helped a lot for sure. The fries were very delicious. They were warm, soft, and fresh. I love fries and these were delicious. Even though the food took awhile, it was great that there were TVs everywhere so we were entertained before our food came out. If I come again, I would definitely order the same thing again.

Turkey & Jalapeño Bacon Spinach Wrap w/ Waffle Fries

My fiancee and I stopped in to celebrate the New Year with a gift certificate she received for Christmas. I have personally eaten here dozens of times but it has been over 9 years since my last visit; her first. She ordered a burger with cheese and french fries and I grabbed up an old favorite of mine; the turkey bacon spinach wrap with an order of waffle fries. Our waitress was astounding, especially for working a crazy New Year's shift and the food was just how I remembered it. The wrap was amazing and the waffle fries seem even better than I had remembered. She loved her cheeseburger (actually ate all of it which is a rarity for her), but she was loving the food and atmosphere!

ordered pork Ts all came "over cooked", to point of hard to chew. Terrible, we spent over 100$ and the food was a joke.

Took forever. Everything came out wrong. Miserable experience. Used to be our favorite place. Has gone way downhill. Such a shame.

I like the pizza (I suggest green olives and jalapeños) and the Cajun pasta. The salads have been hit or miss with lettuce quality.

It was incredible, and I found myself craving it daily. As a whiskey lover, I also loved their whiskey flights. The bartenders consistently nailed every drink. My favorite was a whiskey cocktail mixed with sweet and sour and topped with red wine, creating a beautifully decadent whiskey sour flavor. The cabin-like decor is charming, and meeting the owner one day was a unique experience. He shared stories about the animals on the walls and his hunting adventures to collect each one, which explains menu standouts like gator and elk steak. That said, our experience soured over time. A few interactions left us feeling ignored, as servers focused mainly on regulars or larger tables. In such a small place, it was obvious to tell which table needed attention and it was frustrating and felt like too much of an ask when grabbing our server's attention. This made it hard to stay like we normally would. Would I go back? I'd love to, for the Boom Boom sauce and gator bites, but only if the service improves. It's frustrating to feel isolated in such a small space when the food is this good. The bartenders are excellent, though, and even apologized one night when they could tell our service wasn't ideal. The food and drinks are top-notch, the service just needs to match the quality of the vibe.

Thankfully we still were able to get one cider, and they had a selection of other beers. The cider was tart and refreshing, and I really like the berry mocktail, which had ginger beer, and a mix of berries in it. As for food, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich came with a lot of heat which was great. I got the dry rub version, which is spicer than the saucy version. The horseshoe sandwich is a local favorite, which is an open faced sandwich with sliced bread topped with meat (we got the angus beef), fries, and cheese sauce. It was quite heavy and creamy because of all the sauce. Overall we enjoyed our meal and our server was very friendly, although service was on the slower side.

The building is beautiful, the location is perfect, and we thought, "Hey, maybe those bad reviews were just people having a bad day." Spoiler alert: they were not. Service started strong. We were seated right away, and they even brought coloring pages for our kids -- a nice touch that gave us false hope. Then the food arrived, and it was like watching a plot twist in a bad movie. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Pony Shoe. It came out looking like someone microwaved a bag of frozen chicken tenders and tossed them in buffalo sauce for moral support. The cheese sauce might have been homemade -- it was grainy enough to make me believe someone whisked it themselves -- but there was barely any. Also, who hides the cheese under the fries? That's the star of the show! I had to beg for more, and even then it arrived lukewarm, much like my excitement for the meal. My wife ordered the Pork Schnitzel with "spaetzle." Except it wasn't schnitzel; it was a pork cutlet that had clearly seen the inside of a freezer longer than most people's leftovers. And the "spaetzle"? Nope. Straight-up spaghetti noodles. The mushroom sauce tasted like it came straight from a can labeled Cream of Disappointment. Two of the kids got cheese pizza -- or as I like to call it, "Frozen Circle of Regret." My son's "chips" were somehow both soggy and chewy, a texture I didn't even know existed. Frying them until they're crunchy shouldn't be rocket science, but here we are. Everything was bland, flavorless, and missing any sign of seasoning. The best dish of the entire meal? My daughter's burger on her Pony Shoe -- mostly because it resembled real food. And just to add a little flair, nearly every plate was dusted with dried parsley. Because, of course, nothing says fine dining like sprinkling dried parsley on frozen food. This place has serious potential -- it's got the space, the charm, and the perfect downtown vibe. But if your secret ingredient is "frozen," no amount of parsley is going to save you.
