This is seriously my favorite place to eat in Springfield! They have the BEST menu with any sort of bar food you could want. I just found out today that they have a brunch menu too...definitely coming back to try! Their specialty bowl this week was a Jamaican jerk chicken bowl and it was seriously to DIE FOR (and only $16!)!! I really really hope they make this bowl a permanent menu item because I would eat it every day for every meal if I could for the rest of my life. Brandi was amazing! We dined here for lunch today and also Tuesday last week (forgot her name last week!!) My aunt got the adult grilled cheese and I got the black bean burger with cheese. My mom ordered pasta with marinara off the kids menu. I was so relieved they let us order off the kids menu for her because she is picky and doesn't eat a big quantity. It was the perfect portion. Last week I shared the ahi tuna bowl with my bro and onion strings appetizer. Mom had a side of Mac n cheese. Excellent food and service. We went late Sunday night with our 7 month old daughter and it was peaceful and calm, perfect to hear each other easily over the table. We were at a table against the wall and had space to put her carrier on the table and still have enough room for the two of us to eat. I had the ultimate shoe, my fiancé had the southwest italian beef which he said was great, and we had the Brickhouse daily egg rolls for an appetizer which were buffalo mac flavored. Our server highly recommended the egg rolls and he was spot on, they were awesome. He was an excellent server as well and was always on top of our drinks and checked in with us regularly which was wonderful. The ultimate shoe was a massive serving and the cheese sauce was fantastic. Love going to Brickhouse and can't wait to try more egg roll flavors in the future! read more

Seemed like a fun place but wrap was disgusting. Ordered the sweet chili glazed chicken wrap. It came hot as if it was baked after assembling. Hot lettuce, tomato and melted cheddar is pretty nasty on a wrap when I assumed it was cold with hot chicken like everywhere else I order from. Also, way too much chili sauce. Server was not overly understanding or apologetic. She told me the hot chicken made the wrap hot. I said there's no way. Took 25% off of the wrap. I took 2 bites and ate some fries and pickles. Upon arrival we ordered 2 drinks and she only brought one and didn't realize until about 10 minutes later. I sat there with nothing while my husband had a beer. Very strange. Floor was filthy. Overall it was a nice atmosphere, perfect for watching sports. I was here on a Sunday for dinner. There wasn't a lot of people here during that time. For it not being busy, the service was average. Waitress only got our drinks and took the orders. The food itself was also average. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and fries. The wrap was sauced well, but the fries were terrible. We love this place. It's close to Home so we eat here a lot. Service is always good the girls stay on top of your needs and Keep the drinks full. We have never had a bad experience here. Food is always fresh and delicious. They have some of the best salads in town. One of the appetizers they offer are homemade egg rolls that they change up the variety on them weekly i think. Definitely recommend asking what flavor they have available! Carry out is a great option here as well. Definitely a good all around bar for drinks or food. Came here twice on my visit to Springfield last weekend. The horseshoes were delicious! Our first servers name was Cindy and she was very friendly and service was on point! The second time the server (don't remember her name) wasnt very friendly but still gave good service. I would highly recommend the side salad. We were visiting Springfield for three days to see all of the Lincoln historic sites. We had been hearing about horseshoe sandwiches, which apparently were invented in Springfield, although there is some disagreement about who served it first. A horseshoe is basically an opened face sandwich with a slice of toasted bread and your meat of choice, topped with a whole lot of french fries and then smothered in a sauce. Some use cheese sauce, and some use a white gravy of some sort. We had asked a bartender at another restaurant where to get the best horseshoes, and he suggested D'arcy's Pint but we were told we should make a reservation. A reservation at a bar? That seemed a little weird to me, and when we got ready to stop for dinner, Brickhouse was closer. I think maybe I should have just made a reservation at D'arcy's. Brickhouse is nothing special. My husband and son liked their food well enough, but I got the horseshoe and it was kind of disgusting. I got it with breaded chicken, and the chicken was tasty enough. The problem was the sauce. It was a runny cheese sauce that tasted powdery and artificial, kind of like the cheese powder on Cheese Puffs or in a box of Kraft macaroni and cheese. It also had a weird aftertaste. The service was fine and the atmosphere was friendly, but the food is nothing special. We probably wouldn't go back unless it was just for drinks. There are better places in Springfield. read more

I went here for a grad dinner party and it was a big group of us. Our server was great and made sure we all got our food and drinks that we wanted. Our food took awhile to come out and I was starving by the time it finally did come. I loved the Cajun chicken Alfredo. I got it breaded which in my opinion is much better than grilled. The pasta was a little dry but the chicken helped a lot for sure. The fries were very delicious. They were warm, soft, and fresh. I love fries and these were delicious. Even though the food took awhile, it was great that there were TVs everywhere so we were entertained before our food came out. My fiancee and I stopped in to celebrate the New Year with a gift certificate she received for Christmas. I have personally eaten here dozens of times but it has been over 9 years since my last visit; her first. She ordered a burger with cheese and french fries and I grabbed up an old favorite of mine; the turkey bacon spinach wrap with an order of waffle fries. Our waitress was astounding, especially for working a crazy New Year's shift and the food was just how I remembered it. The wrap was amazing and the waffle fries seem even better than I had remembered. Overall the food here is very good, I recommend the Kobe burger or Meat Lovers Pizza. The appetizers I'd recommend are the Parmesan Fries and Pretzel rolls. Really my only complaint was the restaurant not even being half full and having to wait almost 30 minutes for our waitress to come back and get our check, as well as 15 minutes to get the water I asked for when it would take literally 2 minutes. Apparently gossiping with the bartending is more important than paying a customers bill and getting them their drinks. read more

Oh great place food is tip top and everyday they make a different type of egg roll the day we were there which was Mother's Day they had chicken and cole slaw and something else in the egg rolls and they were packed with meat I didn't see any veggies and they tasted great. Worst restaurant experience in a long time. The food was OK but the service was atrocious. We had a party of eight and yes I recognize this is a large group. However our waitress - while personable - was absent most of the time. She put in put the food order and disappeared. Food took quite a while to,come out but we understand the short staffing issues restaurants are experiencing. We ate our food without a drink. The kitchen staff delivered 3 incorrect orders to our table and appeared annoyed each time we tried to explain that the order was not right. Just stood and stared until someone just said they'd eat what was brought. Three of the people at out table just ate what was served because it was clearly going to be an ordeal to send it back. When she finally reappeared, the waitress blamed the slow service on a private party - but it would have been pretty hard for her to come back and check on our table as she was sitting in a car out behind the restaurant with some guy. SAW her walk out the back door and return 20 minutes later. My partner had to step out to make a phone call and saw her so I know this for a fact. FYI - We asked if this was "normal" for a Friday night. She said that it was and that the best time to eat at Brickhouse was before 5:30 pm. read more

I'm in town from Laporte Indiana visiting my son and daughter-in-law and their new infant baby. Decided to come to Sam's Club and I told my son I said let's get a bite to eat I wanna get a really good burger. So we saw the Brickhouse. Let me say this this by far is the best burger I have ever had anywhere or ever I'm 68 years old and I'm gonna tell you it took me this long to find the most wonderful delicious tasting Kobe burger I have ever eaten. I will definitely be coming back here and bringing the rest of the family! I recommend everyone here in Springfield or surrounding locations to come to the Brickhouse for the best Kobe burger and the most friendliest staff! We ordered a large sausage that looked like a cheese pizza with a few bits of sausage and not even a hint of garlic in the sauce. I wonder if they used ketchup?
