What an outstanding experience! We visited on a busy Friday night and were seated in only about 15 minutes, which was impressive considering how packed they were. Our waitress, Grace, was absolutely phenomenal. She was attentive, friendly, bubbly, and genuinely enjoyable to have as our server. She anticipated what we needed without hovering and made the entire meal even more enjoyable. Hands down, she was the best waitress we've had in a very long time. I ordered the Triple Filet Medallions with a loaded baked potato, grilled shrimp add on, green beans, and mushroom sauce over the steaks. My date had the 6 ounce filet with a baked potato and green beans. Both steaks were perfectly cooked exactly as ordered and seasoned beautifully. The mushroom sauce was excellent, and the shrimp was a great addition. The green beans are prepared with onions and ham, so they're not fresh garden style green beans, but they were still absolutely delicious and full of flavor. From the hostess to the kitchen to Grace's exceptional service, the entire experience was spectacular. This is exactly how a restaurant should be run. The Steaks are usually prepared well... & the complimentary rolls are very good. I would not order their Mac & Cheese unless you like the "Kraft in a Box" type of it. It's not good. Also - unless we are able to sit in the Bar section in a Booth & enjoy a relaxing Dinner & able to have a conversation with each other or another couple without yelling ... we don't stay to eat - as It's pretty loud... in the main area. As Seniors ... It's also super frustrating when we arrive at 4:30 pm to avoid the after work Dinner crowd & they refuse to seat us in a Booth in the Bar until 5:00 pm - always saying they have no waitstaff until then - BUT we can go sit "at the Bar on the their tall - not easy to get up on - uncomfortable Bar stools"... REALLY? Also it's VERY very frustrating & not Customer friendly to offer a rather large & versatile Cocktail Menu... with NO Prices ? It's uncomfortable & embarrassing to have to keep asking our waitstaff person - "how much is this... & "how much is this"... etc. as many of us are on a Budget & need to know UP FRONT the cost of what's on their Cocktail Menu. They keep telling us that they have no control over it as it's a Corporate decision? ODD isn't it? Also... their Cocktails are usually rather expensive & very light on Alcohol compared to several other "non-chain"Restaurants in our area. They tell us that such drinks like their Margaritas are "pre-mixed" & they have no control over the Alcohol content. They also don't take Reservations - which is extremely inconvenient & very frustrating. They also don't welcome groups bigger than 8... & when we had 12 of us ~ they sat us at separate tables it's too bad their not Customer friendly as they do have pretty good food. read more

I was a previous employee at the Texas Roadhouse on W Saginaw in Lansing,Mi. I worked there for a year, was a hard working employee who would tend to the needs of the guests, run the food and fill the ice while most of the employees were on their phones or speaking with one another. I took my job seriously and went beyond and above my call of duty to ensure people were taken care of whether they were my fellow coworkers or guests of the establishment. I had an accident one day due to the medication I had been taking outside of work. I went to the ER room and had gotten proper documentation of the events which had led up to the occurrence. I had been put back on the floor. Exactly 2 weeks later I had became the victim of an assault at the local party store in the same vicinity and I wound up in the ER once again. Let me remind you that I had only lost 2 to 4 days of work for both incidents combined and had medical documentation pertaining to my injuries and yet Jeff the general manager had still insisted that I was terminated due to my "availability issues." The manager Andrea was not the least bit sympathetic either and was infuriated that I had contacted her on thee personal number that she had given out to the waitstaff. Anyways I had lost my home that my mother had left me after she had passed away in 2021 and am currently residing in a homeless shelter. In this economy it is extremely difficult to find a job and it's just as hard to find a suitable roommate. I seriously cannot put into words how severely this has affected me on a emotional, mental, and physical level. I had gotten along with every other manager ad co-worker at the Roadhouse when I had been employeed there not to mention those I had served before succumbing to an accident and brutal assault. Do not dine out here. Do not eat here. The pain and misery that have resulted from stepping in the door of this establishment should be a warning sign. I am still recovering from these incidents while the management of the Texas Roadhouse on W Saginaw just writes me off as some inconvenience. For the most part the kitchen staff was great but if you knew what I do about what some of these people are doing to the food there would be criminal charges. I am being 100% honest here and I will never stop speaking about the unacceptable as when as inconceivable things which have transpired at this establishment. read more

If you saw my last Texas Roadhouse review, you know that I love the place, but service .. meh. Well, this one has knocked the bar out of the atmosphere. For starters, place was impeccable. Better than that, we were seated super fast. No wait whatsoever. Our server, Maddie G. ... this is Auntie's newest niece. Seriously. Want to take her home. So attentive without being annoying. (Dig this: she thought we were tipping her too much.) Now, the food. OMG. Did I almost fight Pimp over a pork chop? Cooked to perfection (I stole a bite.) My steak and shrimp. No words. Overall (and I let Mgr. Jackie know), every Texas Roadhouse we visit from here out has a huge standard to live up to. We live about an hour away from this one (here for bowling tournament). Took my family to lunch at the West Lansing location. As a party of 10, we were seated into two separate booths, they had no tables that could accommodate a larger group nor any that could be moved together. My and one of my sons porterhouse cuts order medium rare another ordered the ribeye medium rare, all were received as over cooked well done steaks. One of the adult beverages was forgotten about entirely untill we had to leave. Rolls brought out to one of the tables and the other table completely ignored untill pointing it out. We put the steaks in a Togo container but will most likely just trash them. Total spent was about 275 plus 55 tip. I think we all would have enjoyed McDonald's more, and I hate mcdonalds. read more

Place appeared busy on a Saturday night. Drop off wife to check wait time. Park car walk in see no one waiting- ask 2 idle hostesses - if they just seated my wife? "You are welcome to look." Ordered some ribs and the 16z NY strip medium rare - I told my wife on the way in -I've never had ribs I didn't like and these were good. But the steak arrived and it was grey and pink- no red at all. I shrugged as I usually don't complain-until about 8 bites later the waitress was kind enough to ask "how is everything?" I show her that now clearcut steak I ask how does that look to you? She says "medium well" I said should I order differently next time she says "Maybe". I said, but if you miss rare you end up serving me a raw steak. She leaves I tell my wife to take a look at the dessert menu because they'll probably wanna bring us a dessert. To my surprise, maybe 10 minutes later I was still eating - she brings the check places it on the table with no words or even suggest that we buy a dessert. I still tipped her, but I don't know why The funniest part to show that the restaurant has clearly jumped The shark is the back of most of their staff shirts espouse how much they love their job. This together with the theme song that they seem to sing and dance to about once every 20 minutes (blocking the main aisle of the restaurant) surpass the cheesy level of even Chuck E. Cheese. We went 4th of July weekend so it was very slow. Are waitress was ok in the beginning but then someone else brought our food out. I ordered the filet and shrimp and ordered the filet medium rare. It was very well done and I don't think it was a filet. I asked for butter sauce for the grilled shrimp and it looked like the container spilled before they made it to the table. There was literally a couple drops inside the container. My friend ordered the ribeye and it was mostly fat and not cooked as ordered. We asked three different employees walking by to get our waitress and she came back to our table about twenty minutes after we got our food. The other employees said they couldn't help us. We cut into the filet (not a filet) and showed her it was well done. She said let me see how you ordered it. Ok. She said she would have them make me another one. I told her just take it off the bill since it had been twenty minutes since we received the food and she never checked on us. She said she would check with the manager. Another 5-10 minutes went by and she said the manager had it taken off our bill. The manager didn't come to our table and no apologies. The food and service was terrible. read more

I ordered a 16 oz prime rib, medium. What I got was a piece 1-1/2 inches thick with no marbling. I expressed my concern to the waiter. She said I should had requested an end cap piece. me have been Texas Roadhouse members for years. I got a text thanking me for being a member offering me a free appetizer.we went out to eat a few days later.i showed the waitress the coupon on my phone. After she brought the bill I noticed they charged for the appetizer. I also gave her a gift card that still had $6.50 left on it. It was not applied to my bill. she told me she forgot to scan the coupon on my coupon ,so I was charged for the appetizer. She told me to use the coupon the next time I come in.i told her we never get an appetizer.it was only because of the coupon we got one this time. I ask for the manager.he told me the same thing as the waitress did. I told him you don't treat people this way. I will never come back.his reply was so be it. I said your going to loose a lot more money than this appetizer in the long run.he just walked away. They never refunded my $6:50 credit either. I contacted corporate an told of my complaint by email. I get a manager from there other store on Edgewood blvd. That calls me. She told me she would pass my complaint on to corporate..they never got back with me.they just don't care.i am only one customer. I read today Texas Roadhouse is raising there prices. On 2/21/2026 went arrive at the Texas Road house on West Saginaw in Lansing Mich. We were told there was an hour wait and that all of the party must be present before being seated. My daughter said "okay". There was nothing there to suggest our entire party was not present. This will be important later on in my review. After waiting 45 minutes, the waiting area was cleared out as the guest were being seated except our party. After an hour wait, I approached the host podium to get an idea when we were going to be seated. The hostess said we were up next. I took a walk around the store to see where the wait timed would be that long. I saw nothing to indicated why this was taking so long. 15 minutes later I approached the podium again and I was told the same thing, "We were up next". I then asked to speak to a manager. What a waste of time. All I got was a dozen excuses. She also told me "we don't seat parties until all guests are here". Where that came from is beyond me. Another excuse and now the wait became our fault. After speaking with the manager, another 15 passed before we were seated. Now that we were seated it was 40 minutes later that our food was delivered to our table. I can't remember when ordered our drinks or food. I do know this, service was being slow walked on purpose, not because of our server, but because, I believe there was a kitchen problem. When the manager is spending all of her time in the kitchen and not out on the floor, there is a problem. Now that is a good sign you a have manger that cares. That said the guest need to be made that the kitchen is running behind. She did not. We at the bequest of my wife where were celebrating her birthday. We went to dinner with my brother. Our waitress was wonderful. However my husband and my meat was overcooked. Ordered rare and medium. Both came back well done. Our waitress took it back. This is your typical Texas Roadhouse where we found excellent food and excellent service. We sat at the bar until our table was called. I treated an Asian colleague to dinner here as we made our way from Western Michigan to Southeast Michigan. We started with beers at the bar. Cold and a perfect starter. Dinner was small NY Strips. I had mine with a baked potato and salad and he had his with fries and veggies. Steaks were done perfectly. It was a lot of food so we skipped dessert this time. The service was excellent both at the bar and at the table. And of course for my foreign guest, the hustle and bustle of the roadhouse was lots of fun Parking was plentiful. Hate taking a moment to review a place, better things to do with my time. Visited the Texas Roadhouse at their W. Saginaw st location for a curbside pick up. From the point of ordering through their app to the point of driving off with food took an hour. I sat in their parking lot for 30 minutes waiting to be notified to pull up to the pick up window. I called them after the quote time passed 20 minutes prior, was told they're bagging up the food now. I simply wanted to cancel the order at this point and move on with my night but was told the food was fresh, just came of the grill and was ready for me to take. I took them at their word that the food wasn't simply setting there getting cold over the last 20-30 minutes. I was lied to. I got home and the food was cold, even more what ever seasoning they add to the steak was excessively used to where the meat had a horrible smell and foul flavor. Topping off this bad experience was the fact the restaurant wasn't even busy. The parking lot was, maybe, 20% capacity and not one other car had picked up through curbside while I was there waiting. Ate the rolls but the two meals set in my fridge as i decide to toss in trash or drive the 30 minutes to return the meals in person. The is not my first, second or even third bad experience dining at this location, of which i will not anymore. STRONG ADVICE, TAKE THE TIME TO DRIVE TO THE SOUTH END OF LANSING FOR THEIR LOCATION ON EDGEWOOD BLVD. read more

We did a "call ahead" a week before our party of 7 planned on meeting for dinner at 4pm on a Saturday. When greeted by Andrea the manager she told us that because only 3 of the 7 of us were here we could not be seated at our table. We were trying to surprise the other 4 of our party and have been situated sitting at the table when they arrived. Her explanation was half assed and very yeah unaccommodating. The glory days of Texas road house ended a month after opening. The first time going was a week after it opened and that was amazing. It has been a very steep decline in quality and efficiency since then. Today I place an order almost an hour before I get there on the app for a 5:15 pick up. When I get the text it's 5:23 not terrible but then waited until almost 5:40 to pull off from the window with my order. So my order sat for 20 min then I have a 10 min drive home. As you can expect everything is cold. The "kid" at the drive through said people come up to the window without getting the text and just sit there. Clearly this place is poorly managed if this kind of thing is happening. My steak was also the strangest looking porterhouse I've ever received from any restaurant let alone a place that prides themselves on their steak. Overall will never go here again! read more

Was in there Friday night with my wife and group of friends and had a WONDERFUL experience. Our server was Lauren, and she was amazing, seriously the best! She was so attentive and very friendly. Our drinks were never below 1/2 full. We did have to send back one of our meals to get recooked, but the manager Mariah was wonderful and made sure we were all very happy. We will definitely be back! Hadn't been to this resturant in a few years because my last porthouse steak was overcooked 2 times. We had a gift card so i decided to give it a try. I once again ordered the porthouse steak and once again and it was overcooked. Talk with the manager and told her my story and she give me a whooping $5 off my meal. The bad thing about this when it happens is waiting for your steak to arrive and your wife has aready finished her meal. Tried to have dinner at the Lansing West side restaurant, with my 94 year old mother, sisters, daughter and grandchildren after going to the Wicked movie. Management refused to serve us alcoholic beverages. Apparently she didn't know the difference family having fun and intoxicated individuals. With the exception of one individual who had a glass of wine before arriving, no one had been even drinking. When she said "after you order, we'll see" we were out of there. We went to Logan's and had a nice dinner with a great server. What is worse than our treatment at the restaurant is the manager never responded to my emails or phone message Not even we're sorry for the misunderstanding. After contacting the corporate office twice in a two week period the response was basically a non-response as well. We have $200 worth of gift cards from a fundraiser at Elmwood school. read more

My wife and I don't eat out a lot because of the rising prices and the general dodgy economy. However, we decided to go out on a Sunday evening to the Longhorn Steakhouse as a treat to ourselves. First the good... The restaurant looks like any other Longhorn in the US...clean, sporty, loud. When you enter you see the many choices of steak cuts in on display (which in reality are NOTHING like what you actually get) and you wait the twenty or so minutes to be seated in a booth or table and are immediately bombarded by loud TV's with various sports events or country music playing. All fine and dandy and what you'd expect from a Longhorn. My wife and I ordered, and I got a potato skin app. It was awesome! Lots of cheese and bacon topping...an exquisitely done potato skin. No issues. Thankfully, they were filling... Now the bad... Around (35) minutes later we received our meals. My wife ordered the Filet mid rare, with a sweet potato and broccoli and carrots and a glass of wine. I ordered a 12 ounce ribeye mid rare with a loaded baked potato and green beans. She said her steak was done perfectly, but her broccoli and carrots were a steamed tasteless disaster. Her potato was bland, but serviceable. My 12 ounce ribeye was, and i'm being generous here, properly an 8 ounce, and while I ordered mid rare, the steak was WAY past well done. It looked like a piece of charcoal. It actually clunked when I hit it with my knife. I didn't get the baked potato I ordered, but mashed instead. (And they were cold) We got the servers attention; she took one look at my steak and said, "Yup, that's way overdone. Would you like me to let the cook know?" I replied that we had already waited 35 minutes and I was starving so I would forgo the recook and just eat the mashed potatoes and left over potato skins. (again, the skins were delicious) About a minute or so later, a floor manager came by and took a look at my steak, apologized for the doneness, and offered to get me a new one. I thanked her, but informed her I didn't want to wait. She replied, "Yeah, our cooks have been overcooking the steaks a lot lately, it's a problem." Long story short, they took 20% off my bill. The right thing to do would have been to refund my entire entree as NOTHING was right, but oh well. I did end up tipping the waitress 20% anyway as it was not her fault, but we'll probably not go back to this establishment. The comment about the cooks burning a lot of steaks sunk it for me. In this economy, if you're shelling out $80 for a meal, it had better be up to par IMO, and if you know there's a problem with the cook staff, maybe fix it. A very frustrating experience that was handled poorly. I had to run to the west side, so I ordered dinner from this location. (I did not realize that it was for the one on South cedar.). I chose 3 pm, as this was the earliest possible time. I got my shopping done at Menards...wasted some time...and rec'd a generic text noting my food was ready. None of the texts mentioned which location, and I assumed it was the Saginaw one. Plus, it was ready at 2:48, twelve mins prior to the time it indicated It could not have been a worse experience coming in. That said, I love veterans and honor their service. But they were passing out flowers / ribbons, asking for donations. And I didn't have cash on me. Plus, the takeout is way in the back. And I was directed to the "exit sign". I felt awkward leaving the veterans without giving money. But you shouldn't have them rights the front door. Well intentioned; poorly executed. Moreover, there are multiple exit signs. And the one you go to is actually a staff area where servers are coming in / out. The young lady that was in there was NOT very helpful. And I would have appreciated some assistance. After-all, it is called "customer service." As an example, "I'm sorry Mr. ****. This happens sometimes. But let me call over there / cxl your order, and we'll make it fresh here. It'll be a few minutes, but since you've already waited 45 minutes, I'll talk to the kitchen so it's expedited. Let me find a place where you can sit down. And I'll get you a something to drink while you wait." I got none of that. And I fully realize it's my mistake. But you could circle the earth and struggle to find a team less helpful. Regardless, I had to drive all the way to the other side of town. And because the meal was prepared 15 minutes before it was scheduled...and wasn't kept under a heat lamp...it wasn't very good by the time I got all the way back to EL. And I'll just politely note that not once, during my entire experience, did somebody apologize and say, "let me assist." All said, I have choices of where I'm going to spend my money. My patronage is earned, it's not a given. And I'd appreciate if you'd make some updates to your communications / website to alert customers to which location they're ordering from. Because this cause a LOT of frustration, and was handled very poorly. Given that, I would be unlikely to come back. read more

I was given a gift card here so I decided to give it another chance. My steak was cooked correctly the first time. Josh was awesome, and remembered my name even though I hadn't been in in 7 months. They are lucky to have him. I've been back two more time since and both times the steak was cooked correctly. It seems they may have figured out what issues they were having. We have been coming to this location for almost 4 year. We have had decent service. Until the hostess today were unhappy where we were sitting. They were busy and the first seat to open up was near the stand. I set down with a member of my party to save a seat for my wife. Who is 7 months pregnant. They 16-18 year old hostess said we had to move because they use it for people that are about ready to get tables. They take so long after getting page that you need to sit. I told her my wife was pregnant and need to sit. At that time there was no other place to sit. We're we're told we could go back to our car. I told her to have her manager come and she was snotty and just as rude. They care more about their process the. Accommodating disabilities. Look at the age and racial discrimination law suits I am not surprised. We walked out and I am public demanding the company educate all employees on the Ada and state laws and basic human decency. Hope the two woman that treat my wife like crap get better treatment when they have a complicated pregnancy. read more
