Your standard Texas Roadhouse experience! Soft buttery rolls and savory meats are ready if you're prepared to wait for an average of 1 hr+ Setting: Wooden interior, booth style seating and very much a chain restaurant. Service: Always amazing! Kind waitstaff who are welcoming and prepared to help you with your order. But! Long wait times are frequent at this spot. Food: The rolls are soo soft and pillowy! The various menu options are fantastic as well for the price. Overall a great value!

Dallas Filet with Mushrooms and Steak Fries

I recently read an article saying that Gen Z is reviving chain restaurants. As a millennial, I feel that I am also helping with the revival! We love to drive over to Ithaca on a Friday night after a long work week. We typically use the waitlist feature in the app and don't have to wait more than 15 minutes on average. Everyone that works at this location is super friendly and knowledgeable, that was especially true of our server named Maddy. I had the Dallas filet with mushrooms and steak fries. The steak was cooked perfectly and the gravy on the side is delicious and rich. My husband was pleased with his ribeye and loaded baked potato. We both got a salad to start and the lettuce is always ice cold! Even the Coca Cola is crispy! The decor is cowboy/Texas themed and they play [very loud] country music. Overall, a great experience!

TLDR; Awesome place, awesome steaks, awesome servers! I have been to this Texas Roadhouse twice now and genuinely loved my both my experiences! First off, huge shoutout to our server Danny! She is such a sweetheart in every way. She knew what I wanted before I even asked. I forgot to mention something when ordering and after she went around the table, she came back to me to ask about what I forgot! I just love that. Super attentive, super friendly and super helpful. Now, onto the food. On my first visit I got a burger and on my second, a prime ribeye steak. Both were cooked perfectly, extremely tender and tasteful. Side note, fries are unexpectedly out of this world. Ambiance is on par with any Texas Roadhouse anywhere, with the traditional wooden inspired decor and bench seating. I usually try to avoid chain sit down restaurant, but my mindset on chain restaurants completely changed.

Full Slab Ribs with Steamed Vegetables

First time at a Texas Roadhouse, and I was pleasantly surprised! Their famous signature house rolls were warm, incredibly soft, and so chewy! The texture stood out to me more than the flavors. The cinnamon butter was mild and could use more cinnamon in my opinion. The bread itself wasn't super flavorful, but I would still recommend. My friends and I got a full slab of ribs with sides of chili and fresh vegetables. The ribs fell off the bone and were not dry at all. Good bbq flavor too! The vegetables were ok, pretty much what you would expect. Chili was mostly liquid which was a bit disappointing. Overall, I enjoyed my experience, and the server was very friendly, attentive, and even split out bills separately.

i had never gone to a texas roadhouse until this experience and i now understand the hype. SUPER friendly service!!! the complementary rolls were to DIE FOR. fast service and the food was so good for how cheap everything was. and they gave us free peanuts??? also bumping fun country music. could not go wrong here for a fun, easy-going, and cheap dining experience. i just wish there were some vegan options ...

Leftovers. Bone-In Ribeye*, Sweet Potato. Sauteed Mushrooms and Sauteed Onions are a must.

I usually don't give chains more than three stars but THIS PLACE SLAPS EVERYTIME. They make amazing steaks (I recommend the bone-in ribeye). My bae and I came here half an hour before closing and they took us in, and didn't compromise on the service. Come here for good food and country music in the background and you won't be disappointed.

Love the ribs! It really is off the bone tender. Get it with extra BBQ sauce. I really enjoyed the side of rice and green beans that came with it. Also tried the grilled chicken, very tender and flavorful as well. What a great place for a family dinner!

TERRIBLE service, shout out to our server, almost completely ruined our experience. We arrived at 1, and its 215pm and we still didn't get our food. then that, food was great, Hostess was apologetic and had great communication skills. Food runners were also awesome.

Food is wonderful! Noise is greater than I am able to participate in a conversation! That's why I refrain from going! Just too loud!

Tried the Hunch Punch and Old Man Ale, and honestly, both were dangerously good. The kind of drinks that make you linger a little longer than planned. No attitude from the staff, just a solid vibe. The only tragedy? The outdoor area looks amazing, but winter exists, so I had to admire it before walking in like a Victorian child longing for summer. Would I come back? Absolutely. Just need to practice looking cool at pool more.

From the moment I walked in, I was ignored by the bartender, Pearl, while others around me were being served. When I politely asked if I could order a drink, I was finally acknowledged, but when I requested a specific drink, rather than simply saying they didn't have it, the bartender rudely cursed at me, saying, "Why the f** would I make a drink like that? Order something off the menu."* Shocked by such an unprofessional response, I remained calm and respectful, yet the situation escalated further. The bartender threatened to call the police on me for no reason--simply because I requested a drink. Then, without cause, the bouncer Eric aggressively grabbed me, thrashing me around and refusing to let go, even though I repeatedly and calmly told him to release me. Despite being completely non-confrontational and not being violent back, he continued to manhandle me in a way that was completely unnecessary and unacceptable. He was so aggressive that he broke one of my nails and injured my wrist. It was obvious that I was being targeted and mistreated because I am a Hispanic woman--if I had been a man or accompanied by one, I highly doubt I would have been treated this way. After filing a police report, I was informed by law enforcement that this establishment already has a bad reputation for being discriminatory. This speaks volumes about how they operate and how little they care about treating people with basic dignity and respect. This was an obvious case of discrimination and assault, and I will be pursuing legal action. I strongly urge anyone--especially women and minorities--to avoid this place at all costs. No one deserves to be treated this way.

We went a little after they opened and it was a great time because it wasn't too busy. Any time I drive by the parking lot is full. They have parking in the front and around the right side of the building. I tried the Meier's Creek Choccy Milk, Other Half BA 10X Bananaversary, TALEA Beer Hibiscus Splash, and Allagash Allagash White and I enjoyed all of them. The bathrooms were clean and easy to find and I can't wait to go back in the spring/summer to check out their outside seating because they have about 15 tables. They also host a game night and have live music. Definitely a hotspot in the Ithaca area.

The food menu is now several pages long, including tried-and-true favorites (many gourmet burger varieties, chicken sandwiches (with a Nashville Hot style option), nachos, wings, and salads . . . plus more intriguing fare like kimchi tater tots, a tuna poke bowl, and pork belly burnt ends. The inside has a gorgeous polished wooden bar in the middle for socializing; and while the inside can get crowded at peak times, keep in mind there's an enormous beer garden out back with about 15 picnic tables. And with a well-curated selection of two dozen beers on draft, you're sure to find something you like. But here's the amazing part about my visit: despite it being a weekend evening at the height of the dinner rush, our food came out in less than 10 minutes. And it was SO YUMMY. So keep in mind that, even if the parking lot looks full, there's almost always plenty of room out back. The two folks on the wait staff we interacted with were super nice, down to earth, and did a great job. The ordering process is a little confusing at first if you haven't been there, but the staff members was really helpful at walking us through it. Bottom line: Brewer's is the kind of neighborhood joint that's all too rare in these parts. Highly recommend!

Chanticleer - The tab for the most expensive glass of tonic I've ever had.

What a s*^%%# little bar…read more I came here at the recommendation of a local, but these folks are running game on drunk kids late at night. I ordered a double tanqueray and tonic and watched the guy pour the drink. Poorly. (Pun intended) He put the tonic gun on full blast and dribbled tonic into the glass. The bottle stopper was closed, so he had to finger it open as he continued to blast tonic into the glass. I could tell the drink was mostly tonic and said, "Hey friend, that's not a double!" He looked offended and swore it was because they don't use anything to measure their tonic, they just rely on the bottle dribbling out the so-called proper amount. I should have walked away before he sat it in front of me. I took one sip and surprise-surprise, it's basically just tonic water with a touch of a tanqueray. This was my first drink of the night, and I know it's wrong, but neither the guy nor the girl behind the bar were interested in making it properly. Pour out two shots. It's not that hard. But if you're purposefully pouring short booze to drunk people knowing you'll get away with it, it IS too hard. Don't come here. I know at least one local likes it, but nobody likes being charged double for a single anything. Or maybe the play here is to just order stuff in bottles. That way they can't cheat you out of liquor I paid $14 for a glass of tonic and MAYBE a shot of tanqueray. MAYBE. I feel like I paid $14 for the privilege of writing a crappy review. I absolutely got my money's worth.

I will NEVER EVER go here again AND I will advise everyone (I get asked a lot about good spots to hit, and where to avoid) to stay away, and will explain that the owners are terrible and don't care about their staff. Wow, they really shot themselves in the foot. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! If you're in this area and are looking for a drink at a local place I will recommend going 1/2 a block away to Pete's. Do not spend your money here; they embody everything Ithaca isn't---selfish, unconcerned w the community and pretty much all around horrible business owners!!! Unique mac and cheese and good gnocchi!…read more I am debating giving the rook 3 or 4 stars... I was not a fan of the salmon mousse... far too salty and I wish it was paired with crisped bread or at least something other than Ritz crackers. I did, however, enjoy the presentation and taste of the macaroni au gratin. The square shape is very unique and I liked the cheese sauce. The lamb w gnocchi was also quite good. Pillowy and soft. Staff was pleasant and quick. The menu is dominated by drink options (cocktails and wines), and happy hour is 4-5pm, which is perfect for an aperitif. The fried chicken is by far their speciality, with the macaroni coming in as a distant second. But while both were delicious, I'd say the best value and taste goes surprisingly to the simple summer salad, which was crisp, sweet, tangy, and refreshing. It's only $10 for a hefty portion of food and I'd order that again anytime (and that's coming from a guy who'd never normally order a salad). My only criticisms are that the Rook doesn't have many entree choices (which may be a good thing for indecisive diners), and that it's very slightly pricey. Otherwise, it's an easy recommend for me.
