We decided to switch gears and go to a chain--something I don't typically do--and ended up at Texas Roadhouse for the very first time. From the moment we walked in, the manager, Samantha, greeted us with genuine warmth and conversation. We mentioned that we had never been to a Texas Roadhouse before, and she lit up, walking us through the experience--from picking your steak at the window to the famous fresh-baked rolls. She even brought a sampler of all their made-in-house side dishes right to our table so we could try them all. I didn't have super high expectations for Texas Roadhouse since my friends didn't rate it highly on Beli, but wow, I was pleasantly surprised! I don't know much about steak but the ribeye steak was absolutely delicious - perfectly cooked to medium rare - and the ribs were great too, though I preferred the steak. The Cactus Blossom ($8.99) was an awesome appetizer to share, and it paired so well with their Cajun sauce. The portion sizes here are no joke. My friend and I shared the Ribeye 12oz & Ribs combo ($32.99), and we were absolutely stuffed. We chose fries and mashed potatoes for sides, and both were really tasty. I also finally understood the hype around their bread rolls with cinnamon dip - my housemate had raved about them, and I totally get it now. I recently read an article saying that Gen Z is reviving chain restaurants. As a millennial, I feel that I am also helping with the revival! We love to drive over to Ithaca on a Friday night after a long work week. We typically use the waitlist feature in the app and don't have to wait more than 15 minutes on average. Everyone that works at this location is super friendly and knowledgeable, that was especially true of our server named Maddy. I had the Dallas filet with mushrooms and steak fries. First time at a Texas Roadhouse, and I was pleasantly surprised! Their famous signature house rolls were warm, incredibly soft, and so chewy! The texture stood out to me more than the flavors. The cinnamon butter was mild and could use more cinnamon in my opinion. The bread itself wasn't super flavorful, but I would still recommend. My friends and I got a full slab of ribs with sides of chili and fresh vegetables. The ribs fell off the bone and were not dry at all. Good bbq flavor too! This is definitely such a fun restaurant - it's vibrant and energetic! The staff is friendly from the moment you step into the store and they go out of their way to make you comfortable. Their menu is extensive, ranging from steaks to sandwiches and more. Their portion sizes are very generous, with 2 sides included with some entrees, and the prices are affordable. The steaks are cooked as ordered and were largely delicious. Definitely a place to bring a large group. Decided to stop in for a late lunch with family from out of town. Lots of options on the menu to include vegetarian options, always a plus with different food likes/dislikes. A reliable chain--we've tried at least 4 different branches and been satisfied each time! The rolls are fantastic and addicting so beware of spoiling your dinner--it's easy to do. I look at this as a comfort food stop, steak, baked potato and good blue cheese dressing salad. Yet they have salads and other protein options that have satisfied my companion that is less fond of red meat. The prices are fairly reasonable, given the meals include salad and starch AND those rolls. In an effort to economize, I've had the steak kebob several times and not been disappointed. In this particular case, dad was craving prime rib and my extensive Yelp research found no better options in downtown Ithaca or the surrounding area. Having eaten like a sumo wrestler all weekend, I opted to behave and order the filet medallions salad, of which I could only finish half. The portion size was stupidly large. Very reasonably priced at $14.49. Dad was beyond satisfied with his still moo-ing 16 oz. prime rib at $23.99. Service was good. Food was good. For Ithaca, Texas Roadhouse is a huge restaurant. Even though it's a big place, they don't take reservations. But I say not to panic because within 15 minutes they were able to accommodate 30 of us in no time. While you wait, there's all you can eat roasted peanut in this huge barrel. You can even take some home if you like. If you have severe peanut allergies, this place may not be a good idea. I tried their fall-apart-ribs half order. Yes, the meat falls apart as you pull the bones and juicy. If you're not a big eater, you can easily share that with someone because it comes with 2 big sides. We chose mashed potatoes with white gravy. Normally, you get served brown gravy but someone had recommended white gravy and it was good. We also chose Caesar salad. You also get complimentary soft dinner rolls with cinnamon butter. It's definitely soft, fresh, and delicious. There were few servers who helped us and they were terrific. They definitely know how to accommodate big groups. If you have never tried Texas Roadhouse, it's worth trying for. They also serve steaks and they have a display of the meat selection. read more

I've driven past this place a million times, but have never gone in. My wife had a hankering for some ribs, so we decided to do a curbside pickup. I was a little late for the pickup, so the food wasn't too hot, but I'll try not to hold that against them. All in all, this was ok, but I doubt I'll be back. The good: - The curbside pickup system was very convenient and communication was good. - Complimentary rolls and cinnamon butter were delicious and plentiful. - The side salad looked pretty basic, but my wife absolutely raved about it. She doesn't often rave about side salads, so it must have been good. The fine: - Broccoli, steak fries, and mushrooms were all totally acceptable and totally unremarkable The less fine: - Fried pickles were an absolute sodium bomb. So salty. So, so salty. I'm still thirsty. - Ribs could have been better. A little over charred, a little dry, and not all that flavorful. I've had worse, but I've definitely had better. Texas Roadhouse is usually consistently good no matter where you go and this location was no exception. Our party of three all enjoyed our meals, but be warned the service is VERY slow. Due to COVID and the shortage of employees, the hours are now reduced and the staff is seriously stretched. Luckily the food didn't suffer and our server, John, was super friendly, but we waited for long periods of time for every part of our meal including the bill. This has good food and the steaks are reasonably priced. I enjoy their prime rib. I enjoy my steaks pinkish, but not red. So, I found out that by ordering medium well, it's perfect. And, great mixed drinks too. Their Long Island iced tea is great and their version made with whiskey is even better.
